Naruto - Azure Awakening
Kaoru Takime is reborn into the harsh world of shinobi, carrying fragmented memories of a life from another world. But in this life, he’s no ordinary boy—he inherits the Takime Clan’s long-lost Kekkei Genkai.
What to expect:
* I will upload 2 new chapters every day until we reach at least 50, then ill upload at least 4 chapters each week. Each 2000+ words.
* There will be lots of fights, drama, and bloody scenes. I dislike overly happy endings and prefer when characters are not guaranteed to survive encounters.
* Kaoru won't be OP right away ( he might become very strong in the end, but dont expect overwhelming strength in the beginning). He will slowly become stronger.
* The MC won’t be a heroic or altruistic type. However, he will develop genuine bonds with both canon and new characters and some of those bonds might be so important that he would be willing to risk his life.
* There might be (most likely) romance later on, but only if it feels like a natural progression of his relationship with an opposite-gender character. There will not be a harem.
* I’ll respect canon characters and their personalities. That said, as the story progresses, I’ll introduce more original elements and may even alter or remove important events from the Naruto storyline. This is because the MC won’t prioritize preserving the original timeline.
* I’ll involve readers in the story. I plan to create polls so you can vote on certain details—both big and small—as we move forward.
I'm a newbie author, and I hope to grow alongside this novel. As mentioned in the synopsis, I'll be involving readers in the writing process by asking for your recommendations, sharing your opinions, and even hosting polls from time to time—I'll set up the system a bit later. Finally a Naruto fan fiction that stands out. 1) Main Character ( i think there are many main characters or at least its not heavily centered on protagonist... ) is Takime Kaoru, transmigrator with naruto knowledge. He has a dojutsu that allows him to control water. He is weak in the beginning but is slowly getting stronger. MC, unlike other naruto fanfictions, is not a "wannabe cool dude". He is smart, but not is not unnaturally smart like dude wont guess and know stuff that he is not supposed to... Anyway mc is well written 2) the story starts shortly after minatos death, but the best thing is that it starts in kirigakure not in konoha. 3) takime clan, MC 's clan, is weak but starts to grow. I feel like it will have clan building elements. 4) cannon characters that were shown so: mei, utakata, yagura and obito are well written. Utakata was just randomly passing by, but Mei is given lots of time and i love this new version 5) the only downside is that there are only 20 chapters atm, but author is uploading 2 new chapters every day so its bearable
This story hooked me from the very first page! The way the author describes Kaoru’s initial confusion and pain is so vivid—it really pulls you into the character’s experience. The concept of being transported into the Naruto universe as a child with an inherited Kekkei Genkai is super unique, and I love how Kaoru’s inner thoughts and struggles feel so real and relatable. The pacing is great, with just the right mix of introspection and world-building. The Kekkei Genkai details and Kaoru’s challenges with chakra control are especially intriguing, setting up a lot of potential for character growth and tension. I’m also impressed with how naturally the humor blends with the more serious moments—Kaoru’s inner dialogue adds a fun, personal touch. This is a fantastic start to what feels like it’s going to be an epic journey. Can’t wait to see how Kaoru adapts to the Naruto world and grows stronger! Highly recommend for fans of Naruto and isekai stories. Great work!
amazing fanfiction. based in mizukagure outskirts. time is post minato death, before 4th mizukage was killed. mc is having water control power and he is slowly leveling up. good try at character development too. i will recommend author to read "naruto: outsider's resolve" for ideas on water based power. but think of blood bending, or water armor, or heavy water (can be used in body training), and is it just water bending or liquid bending ? i have high hopes for this book. here's to 500 chapters -

I’ve not read a lot of Naruto fanfics, but this new fanfic feels like a breath of fresh air. Instead of the usual start in Konoha, this story begins in Kirigakure, which is such a cool change of pace. It’s awesome to explore a different part of the Naruto world, and the setting feels fresh and exciting. The main character, Kaoru, is from a weak, struggling clan trying to rebuild itself, and that adds so much depth to the story. He’s not just some overpowered prodigy; he’s fighting to survive and carve out a place for himself in this dangerous world. Plus, he has a kekkei genkai, which makes his journey even more interesting as he learns to master it. The characters are another big highlight. Mei Terumi is still the powerful one we know from the original, but we get to see her in a new light, which makes her even more compelling. Then there’s Maki, an original character who absolutely steals the show. She’s tough, smart, and brings so much energy to every scene she’s in. If you’re looking for a fanfic with a unique setting, strong character development, and a fresh take on the Naruto world, Azure Awakening is definitely worth reading.
MC is fun and is steadily growing. His actions make sense and i love that. mc has a sister who is strong and impulsive, she is the main source of action so far. The plot just started moving 🔥 Keep up the great work
The firs few chapters are really good, MC development already looking interesting but the clear best character is Maki, i feel like id have loved if she was MC instead ❤️ Ive already added this to library and gonna follow as long as it remains good
