Cassandra was munching on Irish chips as she watched some TV show when Alexander walked in. "You are home early?" The minute she finished saying that, her eyes widened and she suddenly smiled.
"Don't tell me you came back early to prepare for the dinner with Ella? Wow, brother, the disparity in your treatment of her and of me is as vast as the sea. If only I could be treated as well as you treat her." Cassandra sniffed.
Ignoring her tease, "Go get ready, we will be heading out in half an hour." Alexander said casually, pulling off his suit jacket.
Cassandra frowned. "Ready for what? Didn't you say Ella will be joining us for dinner, so why are we leaving the house?"
Alexander barely glanced at her as he unbuttoned his cufflinks. "That's exactly why we are leaving in half an hour."
Cassandra sat up straighter, still frowning. "You aren't making any sense, brother; why are we heading out instead of staying here?"
