11- New Tenent - Part 3

The door slammed open all of a sudden, and Liam had not gotten any time to brace himself. He fell backward and ended up injuring his hand.

As a result of this, he let out a painful yelp, and the pair of red eyes that looked like molten blood immediately focused on Liam instead of the weird creature that came out of the door.

"You… didn't I tell you not to ever come up here? Why are you… shit! That bastard is trying to escape. Tsk, looks like I don't have a choice."

Bianca clapped her hands together, and the chains doubled in number, binding the beast even tighter. As soon as that beast was captured, Bianca headed toward it and grabbed its collar before forcing its mouth open.

Her hand disappeared among sharp teeth before she pulled out a small pendant from the beast's mouth.

"Thank god this thing is unharmed. Ugh, it makes me shudder to even think of replacing my wand so soon. It costs an arm and a leg to get… Anyway, what do I do with you now? You accidentally saw me, so should I kill you?"

Bianca sounded completely serious when she spoke. Her eyes looked sharp and ready to take any action necessary to keep herself safe.

At this moment, Bianca did not look like a child, but more like a seasoned killer ready to end Liam's life.

[Warning: Danger detected. Emergency protection shield will be deployed for the user's protection.]

Liam's system worked faster than his mind did, and it deployed a shield around him to protect him from whatever Bianca was about to do.

Bianca gripped her pendant tighter before she spoke some soft words. Light filled her hand before the small pendant expanded into a staff with a star on the top. It looked childish and cartoonish, but somehow, it suited Bianca's image.

"Sorry, landlord, but I will need your memories to go away. I don't know how you managed to wake up even after I cast a spell to mask this place, but you only have yourself to blame for this…"

Liam acted before his mind caught up to him.

Because he had the system's shield for protection, he was more confident in his physical powers.

Bianca never saw Liam coming, and by the time she realized what was happening, Liam had the staff knocked out of her hand, and her arms were positioned behind her back, leaving Bianca in a compromised position.

Had anyone walked up to them, it would have looked suspicious. But because of Bianca's barrier (and also because it was the middle of the night and there were hardly any houses around this area), Liam was sure no one would know what was happening.

"Listen, young lady, if you threaten me one more time, then I will be forced to ask you to move out of here. And if you try to do anything funny with me, I will know. Tell me once you have calmed down and are rational enough to talk things out with me."

Bianca tried to break free of Liam's hold a few times before she gave up and decided that it was not worth it in the end.

After struggling for about ten minutes (and nearly breaking free two times before Liam readjusted his strength), Bianca gave up and decided that it would be better to talk things out.

"Fine! I get it, so let me go. I will take a vow not to hurt you, so please let me go after that."

Bianca asked Liam for reassurance, but he did not give her an answer until Bianca took a vow for him. Magic surged around her as it bound Bianca's body as the vow established itself.

[A vow has been created between User and Magician Bianca Ross. Under the influence of the vow, Magician Bianca Ross cannot hurt the user in any way, shape, or form.]

The system confirmed, and only after Liam got this confirmation did he let Bianca go.

"Alright, let's talk now. We should head in as well. And about these chains and that creature… do something about it as well."

Liam gestured toward the struggling mass of fur that Bianca had captured minutes ago. It was still trying to break free and letting out loud noises.

Bianca stiffened even more once she heard what Liam had to say, before she quickly grabbed the creature and brought it inside. Liam followed her inside at a steady pace and watched as Bianca threw the creature into a small cage and locked the door.

The creature tried to break free from the cage it had been locked inside, but the magic cast on the cage made it impossible for it to break free.

Liam pitied the small creature, but he was also not going to risk anything to help it out.

"Please take a seat. Would you like coffee or tea? I would rather have you be comfortable before we start our talk."

Bianca asked as she walked to the kitchen. The roles from the morning had been reversed, and Liam was not sure if he found it disturbing or amazing that she had settled down so fast in her new home.

"No thank you. I do not want anything. But I do want an explanation from you about what is going on. Are you a witch associated with the International Magius Society?"

Crash

The glass Bianca had been holding cracked as she tried to balance her shock. Had it not been for the vow, Liam was sure he would have gotten hit by Bianca by now. But the vow protected him from getting hurt by Bianca.

Sigh

"I don't know how you got to know about the International Magius Society. You don't look or feel like a magician. Then, are you a Warden? Fuck! No one told me that there is a Warden out loose."

Bianca questioned in an annoyed voice, and Liam held back his question. He wanted to ask her who or what a Warden was, but he got his answer from his system instead.

[A Warden - a term used to refer to people capable of seeing and interacting with magic but do not possess the mana necessary to be classified as a magician or cast a spell.]

'Oh! So it's like that. This does make a good cover for me… for now.'
