Cabin.

Bailey

Campus is awfully busy today and I blame that on parents weekend, I can't meet Eli by the statue because there's a high possibility that we'll be seen. So I text him I'll meet him at a bookstore off campus and now I'm standing at the back of said bookstore as I scan the books when I footsteps heading my way. And judging by the way the hairs on the back of neck raises, I'm going to assume is Eli. He doesn't say a word as he stands next to me and scans the books as well "You buying anything?"

"Not at the moment."

He hums "Do you want to buy anything?" He rephrased his question

I force myself not to frown as I say "No, I'll come back on another day to purchase something."

"Show me which books you want and I'll buy it."

"Absolutely not." I say immediately and finally turn to face him "That's not why I asked you to meet me here which reminds me let's get going."

He turns to face me and blinks as he stares at me up and down before putting a hand on chest like he's grabbing his heart "You're a vision of absolute beauty, Bailey"

Liliana gave me a black long backless dress with a slit on the left leg, she said it's exquisite but also with a hint of tease. She curled my hair before pinning it up and even did my makeup, I respect her so much for not trying to pester me for details.

A blush makes its way to cheeks as I smile up at him "Thank you." I take in his black suit that fits his body perfectly and I think he may have even trimmed his hair "You're not too bad yourself."

"Thank you." His eyes roam over my face before he holds out his car keys "You head to the car first, I want to make sure nobody's looking at your behind."

I raise an eyebrow in amusement "And if they are?"

"Then I'd probably have to knock a fucker out."

"Charming." I say with a laugh as I take the keys from him before heading out.

I get into the passenger seat and it takes him a while to come out, I frown when I see him carrying a bag with the bookstore logo on it.

Surely he didn't, right?

He gets into the driver seat and he passes the bag to me "For you." he starts the car up and starts driving away

"Eli, you shouldn't have."

"But I did, now open it" he says without taking his eyes off the road

I sigh before seeing what books he bought and my eyes widen as I gasp "How did you know?"

He smirks "I saw you reading book one in class one day but I never saw you reading the rest of the series. Figured you didn't have it yet."

"And you decided to buy the rest of the series?" I ask in disbelief

"Of course. You're my girl and I'll take care of you" he reaches over grabs my hand before pressing a kiss to it all the while without taking his eyes off the road

My self-respect flies out the window as I practically melt at his words "Have I ever told you how amazing you are?"

"Definitely a first, I should continue doing nice things for you if it's going to get me compliments in return" he sends a wink my way

I roll my eyes "I didn't mean it as a 'you're an amazing boyfriend'. I meant it as 'you're an amazing person'."

He glances at me "Is that what you think?"

"That's what I know. You've showed me time and time again that you do things out of the goodness of your heart without expecting anything in return"

He goes quiet as he continues driving and for a second I think I said something wrong but then he says "That's probably because I hate everyone but you."

My eyes soften and I bring his hand that's still holding mine to my lips and gently press a kiss to his knuckles. We continue driving and I frown when he takes a turn through the woods but I don't question it.

I trust him.

After a while we pull up to a beautiful cabin and I glance at him in surprise "Is this the house you mentioned having off campus?"

"Yes." He says as he unbuckles his seatbelt and switches his car off.

I unbuckle my seatbelt too "You didn't think to mention that it's a cabin in the woods?"

"Semantics." He says and hops up before rounding the car to open the door for me and holds a hand out "Am I cooking for my gorgeous girlfriend tonight or not?"

I tilt my head slightly with a smile "You are." I take his hand and he helps me out before leading me up to the front door. He unlocks the door before grabbing my hand and walking inside and my mouth falls open in absolute awe.

This is exactly the type of place I'd want to be at all times. It's cozy and I don't know if Eli's presence but I feel absolutely safe here.

"It's beautiful."

"It is." He says and I glance at him to find his eyes already on me "Let me show you around."

"I'd like that very much." I say with a smile

He gives me a small smile before putting his hand on my back and my skin tingles at the feeling of his hand on my bare back. He walks further in the cabin with me following him and I get a better look around.

I raise an eyebrow when I see a piano "You play piano?"

"I do but I haven't played in a while, because I've been on campus most of the time." I nod in understanding and he opens a door "This is the bedroom" I look around and nod in approval. He nods to another door "Bathroom."

"Nice."

"The kitchen is that way." He leads me back to the living room area "It's not big but it's suitable for me."

I nod "It's very suitable for you. Very manly."

"Correct." He smirks "I usually leave the curtains open but I'll close it tonight, wouldn't want someone accidentally stumbling on my cabin and seeing me have dinner with my student."

I tilt my head "Fair enough." I watch as he close the curtains to his floor to ceiling windows and ask "Has that ever happened before? Someone stumbling on your cabin?"

"A few times. It's usually just people going for a hike then getting lost."

"I see"

He hums as he walks over to me before pressing a kiss to my lips and I can't help but smile against his lips "Let me get started on your dinner, my lady."
