Rooming situation.

It's not even 8am yet and Eli and I are already driving back to campus. My eyes hurt because I barely got any sleep, I couldn't shut my brain down but the coffee Eli made is making me feel slightly better. I'm still wearing his T-shirt but he gave me a pair of basketball shorts which I had too tie so that it doesn't fall down and a pair of socks too. I glance over at him as he drives while lightly tapping his fingers on the steering wheel to the music and I sip my coffee before saying "I don't think my coffee will be finished by the time we reach campus"

He glances at me "That's fine, you can take it up to your room to finish it."

"Alright, I'll be sure to give your cup later."

"No rush." He puts a hand on my thigh as he continues driving with his other hand.

And for the millionth time I ask myself how can something so wrong feel so right? I know that once we reach campus everything will be different between us but I enjoy the moment we have now because this feels great.

I feel great.

When we reach campus, he parks behind the library instead of the parking lot and turns to me "I'll see you later?"

"Of course"

I make sure no one is around before I give him a kiss and he wraps a hand around the back of my neck as he bites my bottom lip before thrusting his tongue into my mouth. I let out a moan of surprise as he deepens the kiss before he eventually pulling away "Miss Harper."

I shake my head with a slight smile "Mr Matthews."

I grab my dress, heels, coffee and the books he bought me and he raises an eyebrow "Will you be able to manage all the way up to your room?"

"I will. See you later for our little road trip."

I blow him a kiss and laugh as he pretends to catch it and hold it to his heart, I hop out of his car and make my way to my dorm. Campus is quiet this morning which was a given judging by the time and I'm glad that it is because I would've probably looked weird to the other students.

Big clothes, walking on socks that aren't mine, coffee in hand with a huge grin on my face.

When I reach my dorm I'm a bit surprised when I hear the faint sound of voices coming from inside, I know my roommates well enough to know that they prefer sleeping in. I walk inside and do a double take when I see my roommates sitting on the couch while Mr Robinson stands in front of them like a strict parent scolding their toddlers.

They all glance at me and I try not to squirm under their stares, the dean glances at my outfit "Are you just coming home right now, Bailey?"

I debate telling him the same lie I told the others but chances are pretty high that he would ask my aunt if I stayed the night with her, I nod and say casually "I was out."

I can see he doesn't appreciate the short answer but I don't need to share my personal details with him so he says after a moment "Well you're just in time because I need to discuss something with the four of you."

I try not to tense as I take a seat on the couch as well, I glance at Tyler to see the slightly panicked look on his face and my face probably look similar. Liliana and Marcus are the only ones who look like they have nothing to hide which is bullshit because we all are hiding things.

"So it took me an embarrassing amount of time to realise that I haven't checked in with you guys after your…rooming situation." He glances around the common area which looks like here are only girls living before glancing back to us "I wanted to know how the four of you have been handling living together."

"Pretty good." Liliana says before anyone can say anything.

He nods "Any issues that I should know of?"

"None." Liliana answers again and I try not to nudge her with my elbow to stop being so obvious.

Mr Robinson glances to me with slightly narrowed eyes "Bailey?"

I clear my throat and nod "No problem at all, Mr Robinson."

It doesn't take a genius to know that he isn't here to question us about the rooming situation.

"Good then." He looks around again and I'm starting to think he's looking for something "Well there is another reason as to why I'm here. Something has come to my attention."

I can practically feel how we all stiffen as the atmosphere in the room gets tenser and Mr Robinson looks between each of us and I fucking hope that he didn't find out Eli and me. Or about what we did to that boy a few days ago.

"It seems someone is supplying the vampires on campus with human blood." I relax slightly but I see from the corner of my eye Liliana still looking tense "I wanted to know if you guys heard anything of the sort or perhaps know something?"

Marcus speaks for the first time since I sat down "With all due respect, Mr Robinson unless you went to every dorm on campus to question the students I have no other choice but to feel targeted that you're questioning us."

The dean's expression turns dark and I actually get a bit scared, because I never saw him like this before "This is my goddamn school, I'll do whatever I please."

Before Marcus can say something that might worsen the situation, I say "We do not know anything but I assure you that if we find something then we'll come straight to you."

He nods and clears his throat "Thank you, Bailey." He moves to the door but pauses and glances at us again "There'll be announcement at 2 this afternoon so all students should be in the assembly hall." And with that he leaves closing the door behind him.

I sigh and open my mouth to speak but Liliana holds a hand up and I immediately shut up, realising she's probably waiting to hear his footsteps leave. After a moment she nods and lowers her hand but Marcus heads to the door and double check to make sure he's actually gone before coming back and I say "That was….something."

"Right?" Liliana says "Super weird."

"He's onto us." Tyler says, speaking for the first time and we all turn to him "He must have suspicions and now he's trying to snoop so that he can find something."

"But there isn't anything that would link back to us." I say.

"Tyler is right though, he could just be suspicious." Marcus says "We're vampires, a witch and a werewolf. The same trio that was found on that boy, we are the easiest suspects because we're rooming together."

"Exactly." Tyler says with a sigh as he stands up and walks to the window

I can't but ask "Am I the only one who noticed him constantly looking around?"

"Definitely not just you." Liliana says as she looks around as well "Is here anything offensive?"

"I don't think so." I drink the last of my coffee before standing up "I'm going take a shower."

Liliana smirks when she sees my clothes and Tyler does a double take before asking "I thought you stayed with your aunt for the night. Did I just witness you do a walk of shame?"

I roll my eyes but before I can answer, Marcus says "Technically the dean witnessed her walk of shame too."

Liliana and Tyler bursts out laughing and I flip them the bird, noticing the twitch of Marcus' lips. "This is not a walk of shame." I say defensively "By the way, Lili thank you for the dress I appreciate it."

"No problem at all."

"I'll see you guys later in the assembly hall." I pass her the dress before heading to my room and my bed looks so damn tempting but I can't right now.

I got things to do.
