*Smack to the alarm clock's face. Lucien stretch his hands in bed as the morning light brings him back to reality.
"Ahhhh...*stretch* What a nice rest. I think I feel a new already. "
Lucien sit straight in bed and roll his shoulders as he properly wakes himself up.
He stand beside his bed and grab his wand to fix his room.
"Magus Fixio!" A light blue swirl emerge from his wand and everything in his room dance into well organization. After awhile, Lucien went down to the dinning room to have breakfast.
"Good morning Knox! Did mom and dad at work already?" he tries to fix his hair.
"Oh. Good morning Lucien. You good already?" Knox looks at him while holding a piece of sandwich.
"Yep. I'm good as new!" Lucien did some jumping jacks and then pose like a superhero from a comic book.
"That's great. Well, yeah, Mom and Dad already left earlier. They gave me this yellow potion though. They said you must take if after breakfast." proceed to handling the bottle to Lucien.
"O'right. Thanks thanks."
The two ate their breakfast and prepare to go to school.
"Reformidant!" the two shouts as they went of their house and prepare to fly.
"Hey, don't forget your ID badge this time." Knox reminded his brother.
"Yep. It's fastened tight!" Lucien showed his badge attached to his robe while holding his broomsticks at his right hand.
"Flight Ascendio!" The two zooms the sky towards the Academy. The sun is but rising around the horizon and other mages are flying around too. They went pass smoothly to the academy barrier and both landed at the academy courtyard at the same time.
"Reformidant!" The broomsticks became keychains now attached to the two young mage's belt.
"Hey, Knox, catch!" Lucien flips a silver coin towards Knox. "For the supposed Ice cream yesterday. Haha. Treat your classmates!"
"Aren't we eating together later?" Knox ask as he keep the silver coin in his sling bag.
"I think we have extended classes at noon. We are doing some practical lessons now. We might head outside the campus later."
"I see. Thanks for the treat then! Haha." Knox smiled. "And also be careful. I will kick you butt out of bed if I see you again sleeping at the Infirmary!" He follow up warned.
"Yeah, yeah." Lucien said while scratching the back of his head.
They walk together towards the Great Hall and approach the Antique Bulletin Board.
"By the way, what is your Section? You are a sleepy head yesterday. I forgot to ask." Knox inquired.
"Ah. Wait." Lucien flip his hood a few times. It start to glow white. It then transformed into dark brown. "Tadaaa...Owlin here!
"Whatt..so we are actually in the same section?" Knox can't stop himself from smiling. "But why are you hiding your section color?" Knox curiously look at his brother as they walk towards their section door.
"Ah. I just don't like dealing with people from Ravenal and Hawkin. As much as possible, you know, let's just snatch away some achievements as silent as the night hunters. Haha." He winks.
"Let them be surprise when these beams are bearing much fruits already." Lucien flip his hood once more a the dark brown color disappeared.
The two opened the door with brown glowing leaves and a golden glow teleported them to Owlin Hall.
"Here we are brother. Our room is the third room from this entrance." Lucien pointed a room near the other end of the corridor.
"The one at the end is the grade 10 rooms. But usually, the grade 9 and 10 rooms are vacant as we are already being sent out for immersion."
"You mean, I might not often see you around the campus ground?" Knox asked.
"Well, it depends. Sometimes we are around, sometimes we are not. I am not yet sure. But hey, don't mind us. Enjoy your classes. You'll be going out as well soon when you reached this grade." Lucien mess his brother's hair.
"Okay. Off you go now. I'll go to my room as well." Lucien bid his farewell.
Knox open the first room from the Owlin Hall entrance as he bid his brother bye. He went inside to find a nice place to sit. Drake and Mira is not yet around the Section Hall. Lucien head to the third room and enter his class as well.

The Academy bell sounded the beginning of class.
"Welcome, dear mages to the grade 9-Owlin class. I will be your new adviser this semester. My name is Professor McWinegan." A lady professor wearing a dark brown cloak with some dark green leaves pattern said as she holds her wand in front of Lucien's class.
"Hey Lucien, where have you been yesterday? Not ready for class yet? You should have seen the entrance ceremony at the Greater Hall. I was about make those student from Ravenal and Hawkin into a frog. They are as boastful as always." The guy with the light green hair and brown eyes on Lucien's right side said.
"Hey. You're still into it Oz? You better don't do that or they might turn you into a frog first."
A lady with a reddish wavy hair and golden brown eyes on Lucien's left side interrupted.
"Haha. It's good that Selina is always here to rebut you Oz. Well, I got into some Pixies encounter yesterday I guess and ended up at the Infirmary."
Oz Chloro and Selina Phars are Lucien's best friends in class. These two always clash when presenting their views on different stuff. But they both care for Lucien.
"Whatttt?!" The two shouted in whisper.
"You should have not went pass their area." Serlin said.
"Are you good? Are you hurt anywhere?" Oz asks as he flips around Lucien's robe
"Enough , enough you two. Haha. Thanks for the worry. I'm good now. Just got some energy drained." Lucien whispered.
"You three at the back. Is there something you want to share in class?" Professor McWinegan asked. The whole class is looking upon them.
"Uhmm...none Professor! Sorry." Lucien responded as he gestured for his two friends to keep silent.
"Okay. As I was saying we will be starting your very first training activity this semester. You will group yourselves into three. Once you are done, come to me so I can give you this special pocket. "
"You will be battling some monsters later in the assigned training ground. Whenever you defeat a monster, make sure to take their Magium Core. The monster in the training area are only Level E and D. Level E monster have red cores. And Level D monsters have yellow cores. "
"You need to collect atleast 30 red cores, or 15 yellow cores to pass your training. Fail to pass the training and you will be assigned to clean the whole Owlin Hall for a week. No magic allowed. Just manual cleaning."
"Here is the twist, the section who will be able to collect the most number of cores will be rewarded 10 pellets. The 2nd with the most number, will receive 6 pellets. And the Section with the least will receive 3 pellets."
Professor MyWinegan explained.
"Professor? How do we know which section wins if there are two different cores?" Oz asked.
"Brilliant question Mr. Chloro., the basis will be the higher level core. 1 yellow core is equal to 2 red cores. The counting should then be obvious. Anymore questions?"
Professor McWinegan looked around.
"None? Then good. Go now. Group yourselves into three."
"Hey Lucien, what monster could have been there at the training ground? Aren't you guys afraid?" Selina asked.
"Don't worry guys. I will protect you both." Oz said while flexing his right arm and holds his magic wand with it
"I'm the strongest mage in class, you know. WAHAHA"
"Or maybe the loudest." Selina rebutted.
"What?! Do you want me to make you into a frog?" Oz said while pretending to cast a spell to Selena.
"Haha. Energetic as ever guys. Enough, you two." Lucien said as he puts his hand in the face of two to push them separately
"I am not sure what monsters or creatures could have been there, but if they are Level D and E, we can do this. Afterall we learned defensive and offensive spells for those levels."
"So are you guys in? Shall we go in front already?" Lucien asked.
"You bet!" Oz and Selena responded in sync as they gave Lucien some low five.
The three approached Professor McWinegan in front.
"We are ready, Professor." Lucien confidently said.
"Here's you're pouch then. Make sure to put the cores in there. It will keep them safe. Now go back to you seats as we wait for others."
After a short while, the whole class is now separated into pairs of three.
"Hear me, hear me, young Owlins. Get your stuff ready now. We will be going out in a minute. Don't forget to bring your broomsticks and wands. Also bring you lunch. You may eat anytime you feel hunger at the training ground."
"One more thing, always listen to my instructions there. We will be with four staffs from Owlin's Hall. They will help me in monitoring you."
"Don't ever put yourselves in danger. Assess your group's abilities before diving into action. And whenever you need help, Auxilium Orb is the answer. "
"Okay? I will or whoever staff is nearby will be coming to your rescue, just send us the signal." Professor McWinegan finished her instructions. "Am I clear?"
"Yes, Professor!" The whole class responded.
"Well then, prepare yourselves for some small adventure little Owlins. Time to show how the nightbirds hunt."
Professor McWinegan's cloak flip as she went to exit towards the door.
