The Alchemist

Aria Kyle was one of the most renowned chemists on earth a few years before the sequence, her skill in her department made her unparalleled, she had won various awards she had gone places she had solved problems, but that all came to an end when she was diagnosed with dementia, for a person of her caliber nothing could be worse than losing her knowledge, little by little. And that spelled the end of her career.

She had tried various means and looked for problems to her solution, but all to no avail, she finally gave up and she spent the rest of her days in a mental facility, that was until someone came and took her away bringing her to this strange island.

Not even hours after that the sequence descended, riding her of her brain disorder, like a rushing tide all her knowledge came pouring in, it was then she was briefed by who seemed to be the master of the mansion she was brought to, and she got an idea of what just happened.

For a high-standard chemist like her, she was given the talent alchemy it was like giving wings to a tiger, immediately upon entering the dungeon the progression of her talent grew at a very fast pace the talent alchemy was as though it was tailor-made for her.

One might think alchemy was all about brewing potions and the like but that was very wrong alchemy was a profound and broad profession, and from the information provided by the sequence it wasn't wrong to say that her ability was overpowered.

Alchemy provided different abilities such as material transmutation the ability to convert different elements into another such as changing stone to gold and water to air. There was also energy conversion converting energy to matter. She could also change the state of matter.

It was a fact that this talent of hers granted her a vast array of abilities, she could understand why Jayde sought her out.

Unlike others she wasn't bothered about working under someone, most especially when Jayde had proved himself, all she wanted was to be able to carry out research and explore the limits of her abilities.

Getting back to her room first thing she noticed, was the heap of resources in the corner of the room, various plants, metals ores, there were even ether crystals, at the side of all this was a pile of scrolls, opening one of them, she read them her eyes practically turned into stars.

This was a formula for an energy solution, something akin to a fuel but ether-based, she quickly opened another her eyes shone, this….. her boss was a genius how could he come up with all this, it was another formula for creating a compound element, it was a formula for creating a new advanced gun powder.

The more she read the more she became engrossed, finally when she read all her excitement was palpable, and she quickly packed her blonde hair into a bun, as she got started right away, reading all these formulas had inspired her, she needed to delve into research now, all these years she had been starved unable to satisfy her self because of her cognitive defects but now- a smile spread on her beautiful face adding to her beauty, right now this was all she needed.

Similar sights could be seen across the rooms of all nine, as Jayde unlike various organizations who might attempt to suppress these geniuses to stay in power, provided them with all they needed, it was even easier for him as he had once wielded their abilities if there was anyone who could know what resources they needed the most it was him, he wasn't scared that they would surpass him. After all, if he couldn't keep up with mere savants how would he want to accomplish his goals?

Though some of them cultivating in seclusion didn't suit, like James' grammar which got stronger the more he devoured, and there was also Jessica Bart who had to find a beast she needed to subdue and contract, but for now, these few would have to wait after all their talents only bloomed where there was conflict.

The first ten days passed as everyone busied themselves with their tasks, elior, his aunt and the seven who were chosen had already exited the dungeon by now they only stayed within for eight days, now another batch was being chosen to enter.

Among the ones who were chosen to enter with Elior, two among them became savants they were.

[Dariel Mitch]

[Talent: Rebound(EEE+)]

[Cassandra Hale]

[Talent: Warp (EE+)]

These two were taken by Elior, and he gave them resources with which they started their seclusion also, as for the rest though they also cultivated, they did so in batches, the reason was ether crystals not that they were insufficient, no contrary to the fact they had a mine beneath the mansion, but they needed workers, and with another ten going into the dungeon they needed more manpower.

Things progressed smoothly elior was in charge while Jayde was in seclusion, and he managed things well and he saw to the fact that the nine special individuals got the supplies they all needed. Things were going as planned all Elior hoped was that all this would be enough to battle what was coming, since the descent of the sequence he had noticed that his premonitions had been getting stronger lately, even when the last invader got to their island he felt it beforehand jayde had told him that it was his mental trait, and now he could feel the looming sense of danger, he knew something was coming he just hoped they would be strong enough to face it.

At another region of the sea, not faraway form Jade's island nine flying figures came into view, they were all dressed oddly and ancient as they all had various bead-like ornaments decorating their bodies partnered with the tattoos etched across their skins. They were the blades of nine of the Minoans, the strongest beneath the chief and right now they had been dispatched to eradicate an island and all that dwelled within.

"sago why do you think the chief sent all nine of us don't you think it a bit of an overkill?" one of them voiced a question breaking the silence among them, he was a slim-looking man, with bright purple hair.

"Kato remember what the chief told us do not underestimate anyone even the lion would use its full strength to kill a rabbit" the man beside Kato responded.

"And besides this might be the only chance we get to roam Midgard before our descent, if you ask me I say we enjoy it while we can" he added.

"oooh that's true, but I do hope the people we are after put up a fight it would be boring if not" Kato said excitement visible on his face.

"I agree" the one called Sago responded, this conversation was just among the two as for the rest they were all silent, but their eyes still betrayed their anticipation, how strong were the modern humans? They couldn't wait to find out.
