Regret

In the depths of the ocean, hidden away from the prying eyes of humans, there existed a secret underground lab. Within this lab, different scientific tubes filled with nephilisation liquid held many merfolk captive. Some were old and weary, some were young and full of life, and some were barely breathing, wishing for the release of death.

Each mermaid and merman held onto their regrets and guilt, weighing heavily on their minds. They regretted believing in the twisted lies of their former king's brother, Adam. They regretted being blinded by their distrust and joining hands with him to exile the rightful king. The memory of their betrayal haunted them, filling their hearts with sorrow.

Some of the elder merfolk had been held captive for decades, watching as their brethren were continually captured and brought into the lab. The rate of merfolk getting taken never seemed to decrease, and the fear of being next hung heavy in the air.

After the exiling of the true king, Adam had seized power and taken over the underwater kingdom. In his quest for power and knowledge, he had struck a deal with the humans, offering them the merfolk for experiments in exchange for technology and advancements.

The merfolk shuddered at the memories of being dragged from their homes and subjected to painful experiments by the cold-hearted humans. They longed for freedom, for a chance to right their wrongs and restore the rightful king to his throne.

In the vast and mysterious depths of the ocean, there existed a kingdom ruled by a wise and benevolent king. The king of the ocean, known for his compassion and love for his subjects, had always protected his kingdom from any harm that came their way.

But one day, everything changed. Adam, the king's younger brother, accused him of betrayal. He claimed that the king had been exchanging their secrets with the humans in exchange for earthly desires. The kingdom was thrown into chaos as the creatures of the sea, from the majestic dolphins to the fierce sharks, began to doubt their king's loyalty.

Despite the king's protests of innocence, the damage had been done. The creatures, blinded by their anger and mistrust, turned against their king and rallied behind Adam. They believed Adam's lies and accusations, forsaking the love and kindness that their king had shown them for so long.

In a shocking turn of events, Adam seized the throne, banishing the king from his own kingdom. With nowhere else to turn, the king left his kingdom, heartbroken and betrayed by those he had once considered family.

But the true betrayal came when Adam sold the creatures of the sea to the humans. Sold them to be captured and imprisoned in a cruel and desolate laboratory, where they were subjected to all manner of experiments and torment.

As the creatures languished in their captivity, they realized the error of their ways. They saw the truth behind Adam's deceit and the sacrifices that their former king had made for their well-being. They regretted their blind allegiance to Adam, and wished they could turn back time and undo the harm they had caused.

But it was too late. Trapped in their glass cages, they could do nothing but lament their fate and mourn the loss of their beloved king. The once vibrant and thriving kingdom of the ocean had been reduced to a shadow of its former self, all because of one brother's greed and treachery.

And so, the creatures of the sea could only pray for a miracle, for someone to come and save them from their prison of despair. They longed for the return of their true king, the king of the ocean who had always been their protector and savior.

But as days turned into weeks and weeks turned into months, their hope began to fade. The creatures resigned themselves to their fate, knowing that they could do nothing but wait for the inevitable end to come.

In the end, the kingdom of the ocean was a mere memory, a lost paradise that had fallen victim to the whims of betrayal and mistrust. And as the creatures of the sea slowly succumbed to the cruelty of their captors, they could only cling to the faint hope that someday, somehow, their true king would return to set them free.

In the same lab, but in another wing, a man is seen talking with a woman and they converse using their phones. The wall have ears and they couldn't risk their almost perfect plans coming to ruins.

Man: Well, everything is set..... It's hilarious you know? You want your sons dead and they still believe you're a loving mother, well at least one does.

Aries: *smirks* Yes, it is quite amusing, isn't it? They have no idea what's coming.

Man: When do we execute the plan?

Aries: I've decided to do it on my son's birthday. That way, no one will suspect a thing.

Man: You truly are diabolical, Aries.

Aries: Thank you. Power will always be more important than family to me.

Man: I must say, I'm impressed by your cunning and ruthlessness.

Aries: It's all part of the game, my dear. And I intend to win at all costs.

Man: I have no doubt that you will.

Aries: Now, let's make sure everything goes smoothly on the day of the party. We can't afford any mistakes.

Man: Agreed. With your intellect and my expertise, we will pull this off without a hitch.

Aries: Excellent. Soon, my sons will be out of the way, and I will reign supreme.

The man nods in agreement, a malicious glint in his eyes as they continue to plan the downfall of Aries' unsuspecting sons. The air is thick with tension, and the sense of impending doom lingers in the room. The stage is set for a thrilling and suspenseful tale of betrayal and deception.
