Ch 306 : Ninja World Unite Plan

Late Summer Season.

The originally peaceful and stable Ninja World was suddenly shaken by unexpected news.

The Fifth Hokage of Konoha, Hyuga Makoto, had announced a Five Kage Summit, sending messengers to the other four great ninja villages.

The meeting was set to take place in the Land of Iron.

Of course, this was only possible with the approval of the Land of Iron's leadership.

Initially, they were unwilling to involve themselves in the conflicts of the ninja world.

When Konoha approached them, General Mifune intended to outright reject the request for the summit.

However, Konoha was firm in its approach—without much negotiation, they directly resorted to using military force to compel cooperation.

With no other choice, Mifune had to give his word that the Land of Iron would guarantee the security of the Five Kage Summit.

It had been several years since the last great war in the ninja world.

Now, every major village was focused on rapidly rebuilding its strength, preparing for the next war—whenever it might come.

As for so-called peace, everyone knew the truth: as long as the Five Great Nations existed, true and lasting peace was nothing more than an illusion.

The letters Konoha sent to Iwagakure, Kumogakure, and Kirigakure all contained the same message—an invitation for the Kage to gather in the Land of Iron to discuss the long-term peace of the ninja world.

But war had ended only a few years ago.

The hatred between villages still ran deep.

To speak of peace now?

It was nothing short of laughable.

The Tsuchikage, Raikage, and Mizukage all dismissed the seemingly absurd idea of a Five Kage Summit after reading the letter.

In their eyes, simply allowing the messengers to leave unharmed was already an act of great mercy.

As for Sunagakure, they had always been Konoha's ally.

The Fifth Kazekage owed her rise to power to the Hokage's support.

The messengers sent out soon returned.

Iwagakure and Kumogakure's responses were nearly identical—mocking Konoha with sarcastic remarks before sending the messengers away.

However, the Fourth Mizukage, Yagura Karatachi, gave a different reply.

He stated that if Konoha was willing to discuss the ownership of Sanbi, Kirigakure would agree to attend the Five Kage Summit.

He even proposed purchasing Sanbi outright.

None of this was outside of Makoto's expectations.

At this moment, a map was spread across his desk.

"Then let's start with Kirigakure," he murmured.

"Rebuilding the ninja world's order... Brutal Justice."

His voice grew even quieter.

"Starting today!"

.............

Kirigakure.

Currently, the village was governed by the Fourth Mizukage, Yagura Karatachi.

However, besides the Mizukage, there was another figure in the village whose power and influence were on par with the leader himself—Elder Genji.

Kirigakure was home to many clans possessing Kekkei Genkai, such as the Kaguya Clan, the Yuki Clan, and the Hozuki Clan.

These clans held immense prestige within the village, even more so than the Uchiha and Hyuga Clans once did in Konoha.

Elder Genji served as the spokesperson for these bloodline limit clans, making him both highly respected and deeply feared.

.........

Fourth Mizukage's Office.

"Lord Mizukage."

The elite Jonin Ao entered the room.

"Elder Genji has requested your presence."

At his words, Yagura frowned.

"Did he say what it's about?"

Ao hesitated for a moment before responding, "No, he didn't."

Yagura remained expressionless. "I suppose it's because word has reached him that I intend to buy back Sanbi from Konoha."

Ao: "..."

The Fourth Mizukage then sat back in his chair, offering no further response.

Seeing this, Ao could only stand there in silence.

Even though the Mizukage before him appeared to be just a young boy, Ao dared not underestimate or show even the slightest sign of disrespect.

Yagura sat in silence for a long while, seemingly deep in thought.

After a moment, he finally stood up from his seat.

"Let's go."

As the Mizukage walked past him, Ao bowed slightly once again before following behind.

On the way to Elder Genji's residence, Yagura nearly collided with a young girl with long, reddish-brown hair in the pavilion corridor.

The girl let out a startled cry. "Lord Mizukage!"

Yagura sighed in exasperation. "You're always so reckless. Be careful, or no one will want to marry you in the future."

The girl, who appeared youthful and beautiful, was in her teens.

Yet, Yagura—despite looking even younger—spoke in a lecturing tone, as if he were admonishing a junior.

The girl flushed with embarrassment and lowered her head.

"Why would you say that, Lord Mizukage? What if I really can't get married in the future?"

"Alright, where is Elder Genji?" Yagura asked.

"In the living room!" The girl quickly pointed behind her.

Without hesitation, Yagura strode toward the living room. Ao, however, remained behind.

The girl glanced at him curiously. "Ao, what is Lord Mizukage meeting Elder Genji for?"

"It's not that Lord Mizukage is seeking out Elder Genji," Ao explained. "Rather, Elder Genji has summoned Lord Mizukage."

"So what does he want?"

"I don't know."

The girl pouted, finding the conversation uninteresting, and leaned against a nearby pillar.

"Terumi Mei."

"Hmm?"

"I heard from Kisame that you refused the Twin Swords: Hiramekarei."

"Oh, that?" Terumi Mei pondered for a moment, then smiled. "I don't like weapons. Besides, Hiramekarei is too ugly."

Ao sighed. "Do you realize how many people in the village dream of inheriting one of the Seven Ninja Swords?"

"That's your dream, not mine."

Ao let out a wry chuckle. "I suppose that's true. A prodigy like you would think differently from the rest of us."

The girl standing before him was an absolute genius, someone who had mastered two Kekkei Genkai at a young age.

She was widely regarded as the most naturally gifted ninja in the history of Kirigakure.

Strength, talent, lineage, beauty…

In every single aspect, Terumi Mei was flawless.

It was no wonder that Elder Genji had placed high expectations on her.

Whenever Ao faced her, he could only feel a mix of admiration and deep respect—nothing else.

"By the way, the new Seven Ninja Swordsmen—only three have been confirmed so far, right?"

"Yeah. Hoshigaki Kisame, Momochi Zabuza, and Ringo Ameyuri."

Terumi Mei fell into deep thought. "Aside from Kisame, I don't really know the others too well."

Just then, the wind suddenly picked up, rustling the plants in the courtyard.

Terumi Mei lifted her gaze, squinting at the sky.

In the distance, she saw a shadow that was growing larger and larger.

At first, it looked like a bird… then, as it got closer, it resembled a hawk.

But soon, its silhouette became clearer—it wasn't a bird at all.

It was a person.

"What is that...?"

Ao, who was standing nearby, also sensed something amiss.

He suddenly looked up at the sky.

"What's that?!"

The single eye exposed on Ao's face widened in shock, his expression turning to one of pure terror—because within his vision, a colossal figure had appeared, blotting out the entire sky!

The sun was completely obscured, and darkness instantly engulfed the village.

BOOM!

The giant descended upon Kirigakure, and as it landed, the very earth trembled violently beneath its weight.

Terumi Mei and Ao watched in shock as a cloud of dust shot up several meters high in the distance!

Now that it was closer, the figure was even harder to make out.

The only thing visible was its entire body, gleaming pitch black with a metallic sheen, as if it were completely encased in armor.

The sheer presence of this mechanical behemoth was overwhelming—a war machine, a god of destruction descending upon them, filling all who saw it with fear.
