High-Pressure Gravity Training

Krillin returned to Kame House, this time with his gravity training room and Dragon Radar in tow.

As he landed and surveyed the island, he noticed little had changed in the ten days since he'd left. "Master Roshi still isn't back," he mused. After experiencing the bustle of city life, Krillin wasn't surprised Roshi might have decided to extend his stay.

Krillin looked at the gravity training room. I'll be relying on you for my training for a while.

The clear, crisp sound of seagulls added life to the tranquil island. Having changed into his martial arts uniform, Krillin stepped into the gravity training room.

"System, display my attributes," he said.

Status:

Time: Age 756

Name: Krillin

Age: 21 (includes one year in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber)

Race: Earthling

Tier: Level 1 Dimensional Tier (equivalent to Korin)

Battle Power: 265,000 (next limit: 1.5 million)

Potential: 1,235,000

Training Speed: Lightspeed

Available Energy: 0

Krillin sighed. "I only have 1,000 senzu beans left. My current battle power is 265,000. Even if I convert all the senzu beans into energy, that only gives me 500,000 energy points—just enough to support 500 days of lightspeed training. That would only raise my battle power by 25,000, far from reaching the next limit. Energy's becoming a real problem!"

Even the 100 senzu beans Korin gave him annually felt like a drop in the bucket. Krillin rubbed his head, frustrated. I'll need to use the Dragon Balls to create a senzu bean farm. If I can cultivate them, I'll have a steady source of energy.

For now, though, he focused on training. I need to reserve at least 100 senzu beans for emergencies, he thought.

The Grind Begins

Krillin approached the control panel and decided to start with 30x gravity, having already acclimated to 20x during his time in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.

Beep. 30x gravity activated.

Immediately, he felt the immense pressure on every cell in his body, yet there was a faint sense of joy and anticipation. When the body undergoes high-intensity training, muscle memory forms, and each cell records the process of becoming stronger. It was as if his cells remembered this path to growth.

No wonder Goku loves fighting and intense training so much, Krillin thought, smiling through the strain. He was starting to enjoy it too. The feeling of growing stronger was intoxicating.

As Krillin pushed himself to his limits, his muscles trembled with exertion. A voice in his head urged him to stop: Why not take it easy? Why torture yourself?

But another voice countered: Push through! Be the kind of man who can protect Android 18. Don't let her protect you—be her champion!

Krillin chose the latter. Gritting his teeth, he threw punch after punch, refining his most basic moves. True mastery lies in simplicity, he reminded himself.

One Month Later

"Ha! Yah!" Krillin's punches tore through the air like thunderclaps. His body moved with lightning speed, each strike precise and powerful. Behind him, energy blasts chased him as he trained his evasive maneuvers. A stationary target is easy to hit; a moving one is not, he thought.

The display on the wall now read 100x Gravity. After a month of grueling effort, Krillin had fully adapted to the increased pressure.

Over the past month, Krillin had spent nearly every waking moment training, believing firmly in the mantra: Diligence makes up for any shortcomings.

"System, display my attributes," he said.

Battle Power: 290,000 (next limit: 1.5 million)

Potential: 1,210,000

Training Speed: Lightspeed

His training under increased gravity yielded a steady progression. At 20x gravity, his daily battle power increase was 700; at 50x, it was 800; and at 100x, it capped at 1,000. Over the month, he had gained 25,000 battle points.

"Ha! I've got half of Frieza's first form's power!" Krillin laughed, but his laughter quickly turned into tears. Half of his first form? What am I celebrating for?

The Cost of Growth

Krillin had burned through 60 senzu beans in the past month, leaving only 940. With resources dwindling and no steady influx, he knew he needed a sustainable solution. Even the wealthiest person can run out of money if they don't control their spending.

"Time to take a break," Krillin said, heading for the controls. This time, he turned the gravity off directly, confident in his ability to handle it without needing to reduce the intensity first.

Beep. Gravity deactivated.

"Wow," Krillin murmured, stretching his arms. "I feel so light, like I'm floating!" The absence of gravity's strain filled him with renewed energy.

He stepped out of the training room wearing only his shorts and headed for the sea. With a running start, he dove into the water, letting the warm waves wash over him, cleansing his exhaustion.

Floating aimlessly in the sea, Krillin let the current carry him. Slowly, his eyelids grew heavy, and he drifted into sleep, his energy radiating faintly. For miles around, not a single living creature dared approach him.

Krillin was ready for whatever came next. But first, he would enjoy this moment of peace, knowing the path to strength was a relentless climb.
