Two days had passed since Krillin's last intense training session. At the moment, he was holding the Dragon Radar, listening to its rhythmic beeping as the display showed seven glowing dots. These dots represented the current locations of the Dragon Balls.
Krillin had already packed the gravity training room into a capsule and was ready to set off. Let's go! he thought, a slight sense of anticipation in his voice.
The radar showed that the Dragon Balls were scattered across the globe. The nearest one was still over a thousand kilometers away, and judging by the direction... Isn't that near Goku's house? Krillin recalled that Goku had a Four-Star Ball. I'll save that one for last. Let's get the other six first.
The closest one aside from Goku's was near Marshta, a location akin to Alaska on Earth—a remote, perpetually frozen wasteland in the far north.
The Frozen North
"Damn, it's cold!" Krillin muttered, shivering as he flew over a desolate, snow-covered landscape. Snowflakes danced in the frigid air, and temperatures had to be below minus 100 degrees Celsius.
Krillin hated the cold, a stark contrast to his tolerance for heat. Guided by the radar, he hovered over the snowy expanse, his breath visible in the icy air.
Beep, beep, beep. The radar indicated that the Dragon Ball was nearby. Krillin landed softly, surveying the area. Snow blanketed the ground as far as the eye could see.
"The ball must be buried beneath the snow," Krillin concluded. Gathering his energy, he created a gust that swept the snow away in a whirlwind. Beneath the snow was a thick layer of ice. Krillin groaned at the sight. "This ice has to be at least a decade old!"
He carefully made a small opening in the ice, took off his clothes, and prepared to dive in. Dipping a hand into the water, he felt the bone-chilling cold pierce through him. No problem, I'll just use my energy to keep warm, he thought, letting his aura envelop his body like a protective layer.
Diving in, Krillin swam downward. The water was pristine and clear, and sunlight filtered through the ice above. At the bottom, embedded in the frozen ground, a golden glow emanated—the Dragon Ball! Swimming closer, Krillin saw the five stars gleaming within it. It's the Five-Star Ball, he thought, grinning.
Grabbing the ball, he shot out of the ice with tremendous speed, emerging triumphantly into the open air.
Jungles and Dinosaurs
Krillin now trekked through a tropical rainforest, surrounded by towering trees and bizarre plants. The lush, green world reminded him of survival shows he used to watch. Over the past month, he had traversed icy plains, wandered through scorching deserts, battled dinosaurs, and encountered packs of wolves. His journey across the globe felt like a real-life survival adventure.
Leaping high into the canopy of a colossal tree—its trunk over 30 meters wide and its height surpassing 150 meters—Krillin reached into the branches and retrieved another Dragon Ball, the One-Star Ball. Six down, one to go, he thought, grinning. Only the Four-Star Ball remained, the one Goku kept at home.
At Goku's Home
"Goku! Goku!" Krillin called, landing at Goku's doorstep.
Chi-Chi emerged, her belly slightly rounded, radiating maternal warmth. She smiled at Krillin. "Oh, it's Uncle Krillin. Goku's training in the back mountains."
Krillin noticed her condition and felt a wave of realization. I've been in this Dragon Ball world for nearly half a year now. Time really flies.
He helped Chi-Chi back into the house, scolding Goku in his mind. Goku, you're about to become a father, and you're still out there training?
"I'll go find him," Krillin said before taking off.
A Sparring Session
In the mountains, Goku was balancing on one finger, doing push-ups. Sensing Krillin's presence, he lit up with excitement. "Krillin!" he shouted, leaping toward him with a flying elbow strike.
To Krillin, Goku's movements felt slow and full of openings. Sidestepping effortlessly, Krillin countered with a spinning kick, sending Goku flying.
"Ahhh! That hurts!" Goku groaned, lying on the ground in pain.
Krillin rushed over, scratching his head in embarrassment. "Sorry, Goku! That was just a reflex."
As he helped Goku up, Krillin muttered, "You should be home with Chi-Chi, not out here training all the time. You're about to be a father, and—" (Krillin's rant continues for another 100 words).
"Hehe, I know," Goku said sheepishly. "But Krillin, your energy is so strong now—it's amazing! I couldn't help myself."
Krillin sighed. "Anyway, about the Four-Star Ball. Can I borrow it? I need it to summon Shenron for something important."
"Sure! It's at home," Goku replied.
Summoning Shenron
Back at the house, Goku handed over the Four-Star Ball. Krillin pulled out the other six Dragon Balls from his backpack and arranged them together. They began to glow brightly.
Standing tall, Krillin raised his hands and shouted, "Come forth, Shenron!"
The Dragon Balls pulsed with light as the sky darkened. Thunder rumbled, and massive black clouds rolled in, covering the heavens. Lightning crackled across the sky, illuminating the landscape.
A golden light shot out from the Dragon Balls, spiraling into the sky. Moments later, a colossal green dragon with fiery red eyes emerged from the clouds.
"Speak your wish!" Shenron's deep voice boomed. "I shall grant you one wish, within my power."
Krillin stepped forward. "Shenron, I wish for you to create a special space suitable for cultivating unique plants like senzu beans and other spiritual fruits."
Shenron's eyes glowed red. "Your wish is within my power, but I require a spatial medium. Do you have such an item?"
Krillin pulled out a Capsule. "Will this do?"
"Yes. So be it." Shenron's eyes flashed again, and the Capsule shimmered with energy.
"It is done. The space I created will absorb special energy from its surroundings to sustain itself. You can adjust the energy density to influence crop yields." Shenron added in a rare, almost humanlike tone, "If you seek a larger space, you will need to find a higher-level dragon. Farewell."
With that, Shenron dissolved into light, and the Dragon Balls scattered across the world once more.
Krillin jumped and grabbed the Four-Star Ball before it could disappear. "Goku, sorry, but you'll have to wait a year for it to return to normal."
"No problem," Goku said with a smile.
Krillin laughed, finally able to inspect his newly-created Senzu Bean Plantation.
