Since our parents passed away in my childhood, my three brothers had focused all their care on me.
One time I expressed a desire for a friend my age, so my brothers visited an orphanage and brought Lily home as my stepsister.
I welcomed Lily warmly, but she constantly set me up in front of my brothers, causing them to become increasingly estranged from me as time went on.
This instance was no exception – my three brothers didn't hesitate to lock me in that small cellar.
I fought hard to escape, but I could only sense the air in the tight space getting more scarce by the minute.
Banging on the cellar door, I pleaded with my brothers repeatedly to release me.
But my brothers just stared at me coldly, saying angrily:
"Why are you shouting? This is entirely your doing. If it weren't for you, would Lily be suffering from such a severe allergic reaction?"
"We've obviously been too lenient with you, which is why you keep mistreating and harassing Lily. Stay in there and reflect on your actions!"
With that, William personally secured chains around the door, while Henry stacked heavy items in front of it, removing any possibility of me freeing myself.
Now, observing Lily's pretend smile at my brothers, I let out another harsh, sarcastic laugh.
Brothers, the sister who cherished you most in this world has been destroyed by your own actions!
Lily pulled on James' sleeve and said in a woeful tone:
"Big brother, please don't be mad anymore. It's my fault for being so fragile and having food allergies. I'm certain big sister didn't intend harm. Please don't condemn her!"
James' face immediately darkened. He said coldly:
"That awful girl! We've obviously indulged her too much, allowing her to develop such a proud and controlling personality!"
William's eyes flashed with rising fury:
"As she ages, she becomes more petty. If it weren't for her, how could Lily have ended up in this condition?"
At this moment, Lily deliberately showed her limbs, which still displayed faint signs of the allergic reaction, to the three brothers. A few red marks were still visible.
Henry softly touched the skin that remained slightly reddened.
"Is it still painful, Lily?"
Lily bowed her head, her voice quivering as if on the verge of tears:
"It doesn't hurt... really, it doesn't..."
The rage in William's heart was fully ignited. He yelled furiously:
"If we had arrived at the hospital any later, it could have been life-threatening for Lily. And after all this time, she hasn't even sent a single
James spoke with even greater anger:
"Go fetch that terrible girl here to apologize! I can't believe she continues to refuse to say sorry!"
William and Henry chimed in angrily:
"It's all because she's depended on our backing. Now that she's committed a wrongdoing, she must face appropriate consequences!"
