Chapter 8

Fallon had security escort Vivienne out.

I thought she'd kick me out too, but instead she found me and gave me a few days off, saying I should sort out my personal affairs before coming back to work.

After everything that's happened these past few days, I've come to the clear realization that Vivienne is like a malignant tumor in my life.

If I don't cut her out soon, the poison will spread throughout my whole body.

Today, I asked her to meet up, wanting to have a real talk with her.

I brought divorce papers and suggested we meet at a coffee shop.

But she insisted on playing the emotional card, wanting me to come home to talk.

I didn't want to waste time arguing about this with her.

So after many days, I returned there again, a wave of inexplicable sadness washing over me.

Entering the house, I was hit with the aroma of food. I saw Vivienne had prepared a table full of delicious dishes.
