Theo wasn't aware that there is so many people watching him from the shadows. Even if he did know about it, he wouldn't give a damn as there were more 'pressing matter' literally running toward him!
" Fucking hell! I don't even know if this all is a nightmare or a reality." I have never been the one to doubt my eyes.
But seeing things was one thing and comprehending what really was happening was another thing. Ariella wasn't able to utilise her sensors to the fullest making him a lot vulnerable especially as I just stepped out into what seemed like hell itself.
With full body suit and a mask, I wasn't able to smell anything but the feeling of stepping on mushy things which crunches every time I took a step gave a horrible feeling in my gut.
It was only amplified when the headlights shone to illuminate the surroundings. The reason why I described it as hell is simple. Since childhood, I have always indulged in horro movies to getaway from my miserable existence.
Many people would get scared or freak out but I find solace in the fact that there were people that were suffering more than me even in if this was a fictional world.
Living in the tiny Orphanage with abusive staff was one thing but getting bullied and harassed just for existing was a crippling feeling. Maybe that's what gave me strength watching people suffer giving me a feeling of superiority like I am above them and was directing their fate like a god.
A true God that humans created with machine that now ruled the whole star system. Such powr trips would get me through most of the days making things easier as I imagine these people who hurt me thenmost suffer the same fate as I would see in that dingy screen.
But that's the dark history that I wasn't willing to share with anyone in the past or the future. The reason why I was stuck in fear had to do with the scene reminded him of the iconic Hell raiser which was known for it's gorey scenes.
Maybe my plane had landed on top of a group of people smashing them to pieces as it was the only explanation that he could give looking at different body parts littering the streets.
" Be careful, I detect whatever or whoever it is they are coming towards you at tremendous speed!" I didn't have time to properly take in the shock of seeing such horror so it was fortunate that Ariella brought me back.
" What the- Is it the police? A crash landing would surely be a major news in the city but for some reason..." I did take out my handy plasma rifle that I trained with every day and set it to the lowest setting so I could just scare anyone who tried to approach me.
But that's when I notice that even during the night there should be people on the street, not to mention, I could barely see any windows being illuminated in the building. I wasn't able to see anything other than their silhouette but still I could make out they were definitely building that I was familiar with from earth.
The most eerie moment came when Ariella stopped whispering in his ear as she picked up many sounds around him. Whatever was coming his way wasn't alone.
" Why do I feel like they are like animals?" Theo still wasn't ready to accept the reality.
He had seen the body parts move as their brains were still intact, he even heard a clicking sound but he kept ignoring it because the idea was so absurd.
Not only the idea but the whole going through the black hole and coming to a unknown earth doesn't make sense from any perspective so he was just hoping to maintain some semblance of normalcy but soon he would find out that there was no point in him lying to himself.

...
" Can you make out whose making these terrible sounds?" I felt like it's been hours but only a few seconds has passed when Ariella warned me.
" Negative, there is nothing matching the frequency in the database but some partial matches indicate that it's human? Wait! I can sense moving around the ship, look down to let me see the scene again."
I did as she told me. She was a artificial intelligence with moody personality but when it came to work she was sharp as an arrow that's why I trusted her despite our turbulent past.
" These are...no... that's no possible. Scanning again utilising significant portion of computation power. Result same..." Ariella was stumped.
It was my first time seeing her utter such commands. Even when she was analysing the black hole, she never used a lot fo computational power, maybe because it was impossible or because she never needed it.
But right now, her system seemed to be having a seizure! She displayed emotions but not like this.
" Thse are...these are... according to my calculations...these are.." She refused to say it which meant the enemy that was already sprinting toward their location had arrived.
I knew by the rapid thumping sounds that it was close. Without waiting for Ariella, I tuened on the battle more and activated the localised night sensor that could let me see things in the dark.
The range was set at the lowest because the features consumed more amount of power from the nano-suit. With battle mode on, all of my six senses were enhanced which meant, I can actually react beyond human limit.
'Be careful' was the last thing I heard before I saw the first one, the one that was charging toward me at break neck speed. Without even thinking about it I fired two shots in it's chest and one in it's dome.
I only saw that thing for a split second but whatever it was, it didn't look human. I knew what I needed to do and that was not to panic!
