"Sacred Couraegous Kirin's effect activate!" Gilbron announced the special ability of his card as he shoved his into the center.
A high-pitched horse-like bleat screamed out from the top of Sacred Courageous Kirin's lung, evoking the cloudy yellow vortex above the board. Dancing lightning bolts struck the three units at once and resounded the harrowing shrieks on its surround as their entire motions were electrocuted.
"It allows me to destroy all your units on the field and…" Gilbron paused his sentence when he lifted his marking fingers his foe's card on his hands and took a deep breath before he uttered. "You cannot activate any counterspell in this turn."
Lighting bolt cleanly zapped onto Gdark's cards, covering all of them with the thundering cloth, painting an annoyed furrow on his face. Regardless, Gdark could only watch his opponent hum in the thrill, wrapping his fist a more orange aura discharged from his back like a dawn sun.
At the same time, the constricting lighting bolts on the three units detonated themselves, incinerating all the units into a complete speck of dust. Gdark reluctantly grabbed his unit cards and put them into the depths of his null zone, placing his holding card on the table and patiently awaiting the next assault of his foe's overwhelming card.
"When Sacred Courageous Kirin destroyed more than 2 units it gained 3 critical points," Gilbron announced confidently, resting his marking card card and clearing his throat when he locked his gaze toward his opponent.
Gilbron sighed in relief and channeled the sleeving spark on his sight, "Even though I couldn't use this amazing effect for the rest of the match, I could deal a lot significant to my opponent."
"Sacred Courageous Kirin, initiate a direct attack on your opponent !!" Gilbron commanded boldly.
The Kirin rolled its head and loudened its scream as it majestically leaped onto its foe, spreading the bolting strings on its feet. Then, it unshackled its mouth, which gathered the electrifying energies under its jaw, pushing its head forward and liberating a yellow thundering blaze.
Casmine smiled gladly and murmured, "Dealing Six damage in one turn? Very impressive, Gilbron."
"Hope….you can deal even more damage in the next turn," Casmine spoke with half optimism, continuing to center her sight on Gdark who recently received a blaze struck on his chest.
A gulp of blood vomited from Gdark's mouth and trembled his entire body when the blaze penetrated through his chest, initiating the immense electrocution. Afterward, the blaze instantly dispersed without leaving any remains, ending the brief electrocuting torment with Gdark able to exhale a hefty breath.
Gdark glimpsed at his health bar and gasped in surprise as quite a huge chunk of the liquid volatilized, shrinking the vortex and the lightning bolts without remaining anymore. He stretched his shuddering eyebrows further when caught sighting the number into 14, forcing him to raise his head.
"That Kirin card indeed can turn around the tide of the game," Gdark complimented his foe grimly and began to ask. "Especially with its unstoppable ability, however, do you have more copies?"
Gilbron shook his head and replied, "I only had one sadly. I even got that card because of luck"
"However, I think one copy is enough for my deck," The Young Man clarified calmly, scanning his opponent's empty field. "As my deck is not truly relying on Sacred Courageous Kirin."
"Also I have one important question for you, what is your true purpose in becoming a Superhero?" Gilbron asked eagerly and initiated a couple of guesses. "Is it because of tragic things that happened in your life? Perhaps you got inspired by your parent or the person you knew?"
"Or deep down you had a strong sense of justice despite?" The Young Man added, provoking Gdark to grunt shortly and expressing his stern eyebrows.
"None of your guesses is correct," Gdark affirmed, surging the kindling black flames within his beating heart.
Gdark grinned and uttered meekly. "Since you are about to be crushed in this card game, I shall tell you my reason"
"I only become a Superhero by finding and crushing any strong opponents like you more efficiently," Gdark explained. "Furthermore, I didn't have to be hunted down by the government and other heroes as the insignificant public has a good image of me for now."
"However, there will be a day I willingly embrace my true self to the rest of the world," Gdark added.
"Embracing your selfish desire, fascinating to hear that," The Young Man praised. "I bet your true goal is to become the best or the strongest in the world."
Gdark nodded. "Precisely correct. No tragedy or inspiration from another person ignited my motivation."
"Instead, only my selfish desire that pushed my life motivation!!" Gdark declared, drawing one card from the top of his deck and freeing his joyful smirk.
"I even spent 10 years on perfecting my preparation for crushing every powerful foe who stood in my path!" Gdark spoke boldly, sharpening his adamant look toward The Young Man.
Gdark giddily laughed and folded his knuckle briefly, "I, Gdark, will do anything to achieve his life goal.
"A true reason why I exist in this world!!" Gdark declared.
"Bizarre drive, but coming from me, a person who maintained a life goal on evolving my cosmic heritage, I truly understood it," The Young Man agreed and professed, tilting his head to the left. "Guess you are one of the rare humans I ever met. A human who dedicated his entire life to becoming the very top of the world"
"I think you can be my perfect rival, Mighty Viscable! I couldn't wait to see your amazing power when one day fight," The Young Man remarked, swiftly switching his observative stare to all the gems on his mana zone that were freshly restored, signaling Gdark currently grasped his turn.
Gdark grunted, "A perfect rival?"
"We shall see, you…annoying rogue," Gdark said coldly, sneaking his stare into the center field.
Two gems on Gdark's mana zone shattered without leaving any remains as he lifted his card and flipped it face up. Then, Gdark allowed his chosen card to fall on his center field, simultaneously the sparking yellow flames ignited on both center fields, forming puzzling eyes on The Young Man's face.
"When I summoned this card, I can use my opponent unit as part of the mana cost," Gdark stated bluntly.
"Ascend from the enemy ground and fight by my side, I superior summon, Eradicator Nomad!!" Gdark chanted, plunging his hand down and summoning the dazzling circle on both sides of the center fields.
Sacred Couregous Kirin forcibly drowned into the dazzle like a giant ship sinking into the ocean, screeching in agony before it was completely muted. On Gdark's center field, an armored entity jumped out from the circle, extending its arms to the back to manifest its true form.
More concisely, Eradicator Nomad's physical form was unfolded to be a tower-size giant with the feathery crimson armored on the left side, an illuminating navy blue skin on the right side, and a metallic golden helmet resembling a Trojan warrior. A gigantic sword was securely gripped on its left hand, emanating the neon-green gleam on its hand.
"A powerful unit with 12000 attack points, 12000 defense points, and 3 critical points," Gdark announced, pulling back his marking hand and inhaling the freezing air into his lungs. "Now, it's time witness for you to witness its true effect."
"When Eradicator Nomad was summoned to the field, I can reveal card on top of my deck," Gdark stated, sluggishly placing his newest hand on the top of his deck, "If I got a unit card, Eradicator Nomad can deal 5 life point damage to my opponent."
"If I got a spell card, the opponent receives 3 damage, while I receive 2 damage," Gdark added skeptically.
"What a powerful gambling card you got," Gilbron muttered, rigidly wrapping one of his holding cards.
Gilbron giggled, "Let me try to predict this, Eradicator Nomad most likely has another hidden effect again."
"You shall see once I draw the card that determines your fate," Gdark muttered, stretching his grin.
Without hesitation, Gdark pulled out the newest from the top of his deck and boiled The Young man to heedfully pick up the potential card onto the sky. Not only did Gilbron fall into cautiousness, but even Casmine started to bite her lips in worriedness the longer she witnessed the ongoing match.
"So is this guy trying to gamble which card he got next?" Lorina asked, heaving her suspicious eyebrows.
Casmine coughed and confirmed. "Precisely."
"The life point damage will depend on which card type he revealed to his opponent," Casmine explained, pinching the below part of her lips. "Honestly, I'm much more afraid of Eradicator Nomad's second ability when it successfully activates especially when I heard it from Gilbron."
Lorina shrugged it off, "Wow, impressive and unexpected you know much about this geek game compared to me."
"That's what happens when I engage in a close relationship with Gilbron, I could know more about him," Casmine admitted blissfully. "I might not be a Cardvalion player, but I gained more knowledge about the game thanks to Gilbron."
"Sometimes if you want to make your relationship work, you must understand more of your partner," Casmine professed and teased. "Not like you who often break up because you always demand the man to buy a lot of food in expensive restaurants."
Lorina groaned in annoyance, "Shut up, wannabe Supermodel."
Afterward, the twin steered their focus toward Gdark's card who rigidly flipped his newest card to his opponent's sight. Casmine dropped her frantic jaw as she slightly took a glimpse of the card in Gdark's hand that unveiled a card with the artwork of the giant embarking the scorching amber gleam within its chest.
"I got a spell card, Colossus Scorch," Gdark stated and joyfully freed his grin. "Which means Eradicator Nomad can activate his second effect."
A kindling flame erupted into Eradicator Nomad's eyes as it tackled the ground with its neon sword, discharging the blitzing strings on its blade. Hence, The Eradicator spun its hefty sword to the left and leased out two massive slashing waves, separately gliding into the players.
The slashing wave barged onto Gdark and Gilbron's chests, triggering the small explosion in front of them. Both players shrieked in gut-wrenching pain, barely being pushed to the back by the explosion. They even tightly held their chest despite the explosion disseminated, puking out a couple of blood.
Both their health bar vaporized the little chunk of the liquid inside alongside the number of their current life points speedily dropped like a slot machine rolling its lottery price. Currently, Gdark's remaining life point was 14, while his opponent was reduced to 9 life points.
"With I successfully landing the life point damage, I can activate Eradicator Nomad's hidden ability. It allows me and my opponents to draw two cards," Gdark announcer, gesturing number two fingers that he pushed forward.
Gdark and Gilbron imminently grabbed two cards from the top of their decks, putting them to join with the rest of the cards in their hands. As they already completed the cards in their hands, The Young Man centered his cautious stare toward his foe who initiated his crushing grip.
"Time to declare an attack," Gdark spoke and whispered a chant, "Swing your mighty sword to decimate your foe Eradicator Nomad!"
"Gigantic Slash!!! Gdark finished his chant.
Eradicator Nomad strengthened the grip of its sword before it stomped the ground below, granting a chance to leap from above. Watching his foe's unit declare a direct attack, Gilbron shoved one of his cards on the front, quickly illuminating the orange flashes within the back of the card.
"I won't let you finish your attack," Gilbron uttered.
"I paid two costs of my mana to summon my counterspell, Trio of Tribute Protectors," Gilbron proclaimed, dusting away the two gems in his mana zone and resuming his statement. "This spell granted me to summon three copies of the tribute protectors on the token."
"Which means I prevented your unit from declaring a direct attack on me," Gilbron added, forcing his opponent to grunt in annoyance.
When The Young Man dropped his spell card into the depth of his null zone, three lines of smoke combusted on Eradicator Nomad's front side. The Eradicator hastily bounced back, safely returning into Gdark's center field as the smokes descended the three black eggs that simultaneously landed and filled up Gilbron's entire field.
The three eggs hatched and splintered into immeasurable pieces, spawning three dwarf size imps who let out high-pitched chirps. Moreover, all three imps were covered by the spiky black armor with their lower parts being sleeved by the brown bear coats and rigidly held the bright blue batons emitting blood-red surges on their tips.
"Fine then, you left me to cast one of the cards I recently obtained," Gdark muttered, pushing the Colossus Scorch spell card that embarked the wavering dazzle shortly and allowed the two more gems on his mana zones to fracture.
"By paying another two costs of my mana, I can now cast Colossus Scorch to aid me in the battle!!" Gdark shouted, tossing aside the counterspell card. "Whenever I have a unit with an attack point is 9000 or more on my field, I can destroy two units at once!"
A rising scorch ignited within Eradicator Nomad's beating heart, emanating the circle of flames on its chest. The Eradicator scanned the two tribute protectors on the side fields and mashed its knuckle that quaked the ground below. Eradicator Nomad hurriedly husted its arms to the back, calling the two blazing tornados from its molten chest.
They smoothly punctured the two protectors on the stomach and vaporized them until their remains were only specks of dust, also evaporating the two tornados without traces. The preparation of landing the fatal assault wasn't over yet with one more gem erasing its existence from the naked eye, especially with Gdark flipping another new card.
"It's not over yet, you annoying rogue because I paid one mana to cast this spell card," Gdark announced.
"Overdrive Push. If my unit destroys a card with a lower attack point than its, I can gain deal a life point damage with the same amount of critical point +1" Gdark stated, throwing the newest spell card into the null zone as he gazed at Eradicator Nomad avidly growling and charging into the last tribute protector.
"Eradicator Nomad finish the pathetic unit card and deal significant damage to your opponent," Gdark commanded. "Empowered Gigantic Slash!!"
Eradicator Nomad recklessly drove its sword down when it already reached the near distance of its foe's center field. Gilbron who noticed his last unit on the brink of the deathbed, glanced one card on the edge right and closed his eyes, breathing out the large chunk of uneasy air.
The Young Man bestowed his newest card that displayed artwork of a magenta diamond with the shape of a triangle, dropping into the null zone. As Eradicator Nomad was on the brink of gaining the killing blow, a heart-shaped diamond promptly spawned and shielded the tribute protector. The Eradicator's sword was torn off into two after slashing the diamond shield, feeling like stabbing an unbreakable object as no visible scratches or marks showed up on its surfaces.
"I paid three mana to cast my counterspell effective in this match, Nullifier Diamond," The Young Man spoke confidently. "When there is a unit card from my opponent attacking mine, I can negate your attack in this turn."
"Damn it." Gdark grumbled, eyeing at the diamond that blew into bestrewing dust
"Then, I have no choice. I end my turn, it's your move now, annoying rogue" Gdark spoke uneasily, resurrecting all gems within the mana zones, trying to anticipate his opponents' next move when he drew the newest card before he expressed a jaunty smile
