Chapter 24
The next morning when I woke up.
My eyes were swollen like walnuts, and I was wrapped around Lucas like an octopus.
Remembering last night's scene, I froze on the spot and tried to run.
But he reached out and held me tight.
"Where are you running off to?"
I buried myself in the blanket, mumbling incoherently.
He acted as if nothing had happened.
"Are you feeling shy?"
"What's there to be embarrassed about?"
He dug me out from under the blanket.
With a beaming smile.
"From now on, cry when you want to cry, laugh when you want to laugh! If anyone doesn't allow it, I'll beat them up for you!"
I shook my head frantically.
He raised an eyebrow.
"You didn't understand?"
I was completely bewildered.
"Vivienne, I'm confessing to you..."
"Huh?"
He looked at me with a playful grin.
"Will you be my little one for life?"
My heart was about to burst through the window and fly into the stratosphere.
I was totally stunned.
He got up and pulled open the curtains.
