chapter49:A Terrifying Basement

Amy and Jack were cautiously exploring the basement.

Suddenly, they heard the barking of a dog. Amy's body tensed up, and she looked at Jack in terror, her voice quivering as she said, "Jack, what... what's that sound? How could there be a dog barking?

There shouldn't be a dog here." Jack's eyebrows knitted tightly.

He grasped the flashlight in his hand firmly, and the light from the flashlight seemed so weak in the darkness.

He said warily, "I don't know either, Amy. This basement is full of too many unknowns. We have to be careful."

Before they could recover from the shock, a bomb went off, creating an explosion.

The huge rumbling sound was like a raging thunderstorm suddenly erupting in the basement, making the entire basement seem to tremble slightly.

Dust fell from the ceiling in showers, filling the air. Amy was so terrified by the sudden explosion that she let out a scream.

She instinctively grabbed Jack's arm, her eyes full of horror.

"Jack, what's going on? Is there any danger?" Jack's face also became very solemn.

He tried to calm himself down and comforted Amy, saying, "Amy, don't be afraid.

This might be someone deliberately making the noise to scare us or divert our attention. We can't be easily distracted. Let's continue looking for clues."

As they spoke, they continued to move deeper into the basement.

As they went further, the surrounding scene became increasingly gloomy and terrifying.

Suddenly, the light of Jack's flashlight shone on a pile of bones.

Those bones glowed with a pale white light in the darkness, as if silently telling of the tragic events that had occurred.

When Amy saw the bones, her face turned deathly pale, and her voice was filled with obvious fear.

"Jack, what are these... these bones doing here? What exactly happened here?" Jack's eyes were filled with shock and vigilance.

He crouched down and carefully examined the bones. "Amy, these bones don't seem to be left from ordinary deaths.

Look, some of the bones have obvious cutting marks. This is very likely a murder."

Hearing Jack's words, Amy became even more scared.

She clung tightly to Jack's side. "Jack, what should we do now? This place is terrifying. Should we leave first?" Jack stood up, and his gaze became firm.

"Amy, we can't leave. We are police officers, and our duty is to uncover the secrets here and find the truth.

If we leave now, the grievances of those victims will never be avenged."

Just as they were discussing, Bom was watching them from the darkness, filled with anger.

He regarded these two people as annoying flies that were always barging into his secret base.

He muttered to himself angrily, "These two reckless fools, insisting on ruining my plan.

I must find a way to drive them away."

Amy and Jack continued to move forward.

They found more bones, which were piled up together, forming a terrifying sight.

Amy covered her mouth, trying hard not to vomit. "Jack, this is simply a living hell.

Who is so cruel to do such a thing?" Jack's face was as gloomy as the sky before a storm.

He gritted his teeth and said, "No matter who it is, we must find him.

Such a person must not be allowed to go unpunished."

As they continued to explore, they found some strange symbols and marks engraved on the walls.

Amy shone the flashlight on those symbols and said doubtfully, "Jack, these symbols look very strange.

They don't seem to be ordinary marks.

Do you think they have any special meaning?" Jack carefully examined the symbols and shook his head.

"I'm not sure, but I feel these symbols might be related to what happened here.

Maybe it's a warning, or part of some evil ritual."

At this time, Bom's anger in the darkness had almost reached its peak.

He watched as Amy and Jack got closer and closer to his core secret.

He couldn't tolerate them continuing to explore like this.

He decided to take action again and create more horror to scare them away.

He quietly made some strange noises in another corner of the basement, like the sound of heavy chains dragging on the ground or the sound of some huge creature moving slowly.

Amy's body trembled like she had been electrocuted when she heard this sound. "Jack, there's another sound. This place is tooeerie.

I really don't want to stay here anymore." Jack also felt the seriousness of the situation, but he still tried to stay calm.

"Amy, let's hold on a little longer. I have a hunch that we're not far from the truth."

However, as they continued to go deeper, they encountered more and more terrifying scenes.

They found a room where there was a pungent smell in the air.

The walls were covered with various strange tools that looked like torture devices.

Tears welled up in Amy's eyes. "Jack, what on earth is this place? I've never seen such a terrifying scene." Jack was filled with anger and compassion. "Amy, this is a devil's lair.

We must find this devil and make him pay the price he deserves."

Just as they were about to leave this room, they suddenly heard a low laugh.

That laugh seemed to come from the depths of hell, full of evil and madness.

Amy was so scared that she almost fainted. She clung tightly to Jack. "Jack, who's laughing? I'm so scared.

" Jack held Amy's hand tightly. He shone the flashlight around, trying to find the source of the sound.

"Amy, don't be afraid. No matter who it is, we won't let them hurt you."

But the laugh seemed to be everywhere, echoing around them and making their nerves tense to the extreme.

Bom looked at their terrified looks and felt a twisted sense of pleasure well up in his heart.

He stepped out of the darkness, his eyes shining with a crazy light. "You two meddling fools, why did you have to come here? This is my place, and you shouldn't have come to disturb me."

Amy saw Bom and shouted in horror, "Who are you? Why are you doing these terrible things here?" Bom sneered.

"Who am I? I'm the master of this basement, the ruler of this dark world.

You stupid fools, do you think you can easily uncover my secrets?"

Jack stood in front of Amy, looking at Bom warily. "No matter who you are, what you've done is illegal.

You must pay for your crimes." Bom roared angrily. "Illegal? There is no law for me in this world.

Those people all deserved to die. They all hurt me before, and I'm just taking revenge on them."

Amy trembled and said, "But you can't treat others in such a cruel way.

What's the difference between you and a devil?" Bom's eyes became even more crazy.

"Devil? In my eyes, those who hurt me are the real devils. I want them to die in pain, just like the pain I once suffered."

Jack said, "Your pain can't be a reason to hurt the innocent. You must stop your actions and come with us." Bom laughed. "Come with you? Do you think you can catch me? You're all going to die here today."

With that, Bom lunged at Jack and Amy. A fierce battle began in this terrifying basement.

Although Jack and Amy fought with all their might, Bom's strength and madness made it difficult for them to defend themselves.

During the fight, they triggered some hidden traps in the basement, making the surrounding environment even more dangerous.

But Jack and Amy didn't give up. They knew they had to stop Bom and not let him continue to do evil.

As the battle continued, they gradually discovered some of Bom's weaknesses.

Jack seized the opportunity and gave Bom a heavy blow.

Bom took a few steps back after being hit, but he quickly regained his crazy state and continued to charge at them.

Just as they were in a stalemate, Amy suddenly noticed a passage leading deeper into the basement.

She shouted, "Jack, there's a passage over there. Maybe we can find an exit or more clues from there."

Jack heard Amy's words, and a glimmer of determination flashed in his eyes.

At this time, Bom's attacks came like a storm, each move carrying a murderous intent.

Jack gritted his teeth, deftly dodging Bom's attacks while with difficulty moving towards the direction of the passage .

His body was like a candle in the wind, swaying precariously under Bom's fierce onslaught, but he had only one belief in his heart, which was to take Amy away from this dangerous madman.

Amy closely followed Jack , her eyes full of horror and worry.

Her hand trembled involuntarily, and the flashlight in her hand swayed back and forth in the darkness with her trembling, and the weak light also seemed to be panicked in this terrifying atmosphere.

"Jack, be careful!" Amy saw that one of Bom's attacks almost hit Jack's back and couldn't help shouting loudly.

Jack didn't turn back. He just shouted back, "Amy, follow me. We're almost at the passage ."

Finally, they entered that passage with Bom hot on their heels. There was a mysterious and oppressive atmosphere pervading in the passage.

Faint, ghostly lights flickered on the walls, as if they would go out at any moment.

However, just moments after they stepped into the passage , the situation got out of control like a runaway horse, developing in an extremely bad direction, far beyond Jack's expectations.

In the dark and damp basement passage, the stale and decaying smell filled every corner.

The dim yellow light swayed unsteadily at the top of the passage, like a candle in the wind, seemingly hinting at the approaching disaster.

Suddenly, the ammeter on one side of the passage seemed to be possessed by a demon and emitte a blinding bright light.

That light was like a sharp sword blade, instantly cutting through the already dim atmosphere in the passage.

Immediately afterwards, a deafening explosion went off in this narrow space, as if the whole world had been detonated in an instant.

That sound was like the roar of a demon from the abyss, bouncing back and forth between the narrow walls and being amplified infinitely, making people's ears buzz.

At the same time, a powerful impact like a surging, overwhelming tsunami, carrying the power to destroy the world, swept towards Jack and Amy.
