WHO IS HE?

The grandfather and granddaughter duo, both sat quiet for a while, with a slight smile on their lips, as if knowing each other's intentions.

Then after a little while, it was Senior Sterling who cleared his throat and asked, "By the way, I didn't come to talk about that?"

"Huh?" Dove raised her head to look at her grandfather and blinked and the latter slightly smiled at her. He said, "I... wanted to ask you about the guy?"

"Which guy?" Dove blurted out without thinking to much. Senior Sterling stared at Dove for a moment before saying, "The guy you like. The one with whom, *cough* Roan Davis saw you. Who is he?"

And on that question being asked, Dove froze. Her mind went blank for a moment and she gulped. 'No... She wasn't ready for that question.'

But Dove had to answer that, though she wasn't ready!

"Who is that man, Dove?" Senior Sterling asked again.

Dove racked her mind to think of an answer. Something to say that would appease the situation for now!

"T- that, grandpa..." What should I say?!

Dove's heart raced like crazy.

She took a deep breath and said, "Grandpa, can I tell about him to you some other time? Grandpa, actually we are not ready yet to be introduced each other to our families yet.

Please, you trust me, don't you? Please can we do it some other time. Please?" Dove pleaded with all her being.

Though, she herself wouldn't be convinced and consoled if someone was to tell her something like this.

But the truth is, Dove wasn't ready to face this question.

In fact, this whole situation, she had been mentally trying to ignore it. She wasn't in the right state to even think about it, least talk!

Moreover, Senior Sterling health wasn't also in his best state. And she did not want to give his mind a big shock by revealing such a big, huge traumatic incident to him.

She herself wasn't in a state to talk about it! And thus all Dove wanted to do was ignore the topic.

Senior Sterling did not answer at once, as he looked at his granddaughter who was pleading in front of him with everything she had. And for reasons, he felt his heart shiver.

After a moment, she patted her head again and said, "It's okay, my child. If you both a not ready about it. It's fine. You can tell me when you are ready, anytime. Okay?"

Hearing him, tell her these encouraging words, Dove's heart quivered and she nodded her head before smiling. She couldn't explain just how reliefed she was about this whole thing.

But just the next second, Senior Sterling asked, "But what is his name? You can tell me that, at least, isn't it?"

Dove was again put in a spot. Her throat went dry again and her heart raced again.

What should she do now?! She atleast had to tell this! After all, her grandfather had been so understanding about earlier.

"What is his name, Dove?" Senior Sterling asked gently again.

"D- Dante!" Dove blurted out. And the next second she blinked. Dante? She did not even know any Dante, from what she could remember.

But she did not know why, but that name came out as a reflex. And Dove did not think about it much. Whatever Tom, Dick and Harry's name would put her out of this situation.

Senior Sterling nodded his head hearing the name and said, "Oh. Dante, it is?"

Dove was relieved at one hand that Senior Sterling didn't pry any more. But on the other hand, she even felt bad for lying to her grandfather so much.
