Brielle's POV
Miranda and Morgan were looking at me with horror on their faces. One minute, I was desperately banging on the door, and now I blew a hole open in the basement. I got angry and a surge of power coursed through my veins. I didn't know what to do or how to stop it, but the feeling was familiar. I let it all out.
I was shocked as well, but I was glad that it happened. All of us heard a groan of pain under the rubble. Julian was banged up by the impact of the blast.
" You guys stay here. I'll handle this."
" No, stop, Brielle. What just happened?" Morgan asked, still looking mortified.
" I don't know, okay. I don't know, but I need to get this man out here so you can be safe."
" Did you do that?" Morgan asks, looking at me.
I didntc answer her. I knew what this was, but it's a side about me that I never told them about. I was suddenly afraid of what they would think about me. But they saw what I did and there is no way I can deny it, and they won't unsee it. So I decided to tell the truth.
" Yes, it was me. But there is no time for me to explain things right now. Please, stay here and don't go outside."
" You bitch!" Julian roared.
He tries to come for me, but in defense of myself and everyone, I create a forcefield around us and that sends him flying. I don't know to what extent my witch powers are back. I don't even know how it's happening since I'm human now, but for whatever reason. I am glad that they are back. I just hope that they remain long enough for me to finish this.
" Okay, we need to get out of here. Stay behind me at all times.
I wielded my hand like in old times and I carried Julian's body outside the house.
" Wait. We have to find Sean. We can't leave without him." Miranda says.
I was worried as well. Julian got to us, which means that he must have done something to Blake's father. I just hope he didn't kill him.
" No. Let's get out of the house right now. Who knows who else this one came with? Once we are safe, I will come back to search for him," I said to assure her. She was hesitant, but she listened to what I was saying.
I used my power and pushed Julian outside, and he landed with a crash on the ground. I started to feel a strain in my body from using this power. I don't even know how they came back, but my body can handle them. Even so, I can't give up. I have to hold out until I can kill Julian and his pack of rogues. I just need to stop them and then what happens after that, it doesn't matter to me.
I saw Blake when I came out of the house. I was so relieved. He was still alive and nothing had happened to him. Just a few scars and wounds that were already healing. In one piece, that was all that I wanted. Kyle was fine as well. He ran over to Morgan and Romi, embracing them in his arms.
Blake was staring at me in confusion, but I could see the relief in his eyes to see us all safe. He tried to come to me but that bastard, Julian, grabbed on to his leg. His pack tried to approach, but I instinctively stopped them.
The strain got too much for me as there were so many of them at once. I tried to hold on to them for as long as possible, but I felt my life slip through my hands. It was too much. I begged my body to hold out but in the end I succumbed to my vulnerability and let go. Through my now blurry vision, I saw everyone fall down and myself as well. As I went down, Blake came to my side immediately.
I was infuriated that I could finish them, but I didn't have the strength to even get angry. I was weak yet again. Breathing heavily. I tried to talk to Blake, but he shook his head, immediately shushing me not to speak.
" It's alright. Don't speak. Just rest a little. You did well."
No I did not. I should have ended this, but once again, I am weak. There is nothing I can do now. I gave in to the pain and fell unconscious. I pray to the moon goddess that we don't meet the same fate again. I pray she gave us the strength to survive this ordeal. I prayed for her not to be this cruel to us once again. If she grants me that one wish, it shall be in her debt, in this life and the lives to come.
