Julian's POV
The plan was in motion. Everything was ready for us to go and attack the Blue Moon pack. Sandra was nowhere to be seen. No one had seen her. I figured she must have run away as well, so I let her. When I needed her the most, she chose to run away. And then she wanted me to love her but from the get-go, she didn't deserve a shred of my attention. She had better pray that she never has to cross paths with me ever again. I wasn't going to let her escape deter the plan.
The guys and I are going to be meeting in the woods before we head off to battle. I kept thinking about Xavier. He must be suffering because of that wolfbane, but I can't let him go. He will ruin everything. I will ask for his forgiveness when it's all over.
All the warriors and I went over the plan once more and headed to the Blue Moon pack. I was probably leading them to their deaths, but it was needed. They just have to fight for their lives if they want to get out of this alive. I am not taking a weakling with me. I am taking my selected strong warriors with me. They just need to get the job done.
When we got to the pack, we got in position and started executing our plan. The warriors took out the boarder patrol warriors as quickly as possible. It's good that they didn't expect us or this would have taken a while. After a while, the path cleared, and we had no problems infiltrating the pack unseen. Roars of celebration reverberated in the air. I stood in the woods, but I could see my target standing in the center, looking happy besides the people she cares about.
She was not the only ine on my hit list. Next to her was little Morgan. The girl who Xavier and I took in when she had no one and made her into the perfect warrior. She was standing beside our enemy. She ran away a while back and we left her. We figured she would realize that we were the only ones who cared for her, and it would be tough for her to try to start afresh when she had been a rogue all her life.
It seems like we were very wrong about her. She was getting along well without her past haunting her. Life must be good for all of them.
I hope that they are truly happy because that will be the moment of happiness they get to experience in this life. I watched everything and those fools accepted Amaya, a mere little weak human as their Luna. They are all a bunch of idiots. Especially that one, River. He is still a fool. Seems Amaya cast a really good spell on him. She did her witchcraft thing to even bind herself to him in this life as well.
I have to give it to her. She is really that good, but I will make sure that she is alive for the last time. My men were scooping the area, making sure to blend in with the crowd and be ready to attack. This party served as a good distraction to help us get around without any prying and suspicion. I walked off and let her have her little moment.
I know it might seem like I didn't try to let go of all this hatred, but I did try. But she shouldn't have come into our lives because that is where everything went wrong. She doesn't know how much pain she has caused us all. She broke a sacred bond with her own selfish intentions. And then everything was destroyed.
Amaya doesn't know the pain she caused. She always thinks that she is the victim of it all. But she did the finishing blow on us by putting that immortality curse on us. She doesn't know the pain of watching everything you loved and cared about fade away right in front of your eyes and not being able to do anything about it. Watching helplessly, over and over again. It's like falling into an abyss and no matter how hard you try to find solid ground, there isn't.
All this time I had on my hands due to her unrequited gift, I had nothing to do but hate her. And the only way I could get rid of all the darkness in me was to kill her. That is the only thing that was going to satiate my hunger and thirst for blood.
Finally, it felt like forever, but it was time to attack. I sent the signal to begin the mission. I went out there and started attacking anyone that was in my way. I wanted to go up there and grab her by the neck and then make her watch as I massacred everyone who was at this party while she watched in anguish and having that helplessness of not being able to do anything to save anyone, even herself.
That was the plan, but she wasn't where I wanted her. She must have gone into the house while I was lost in thought. No matter. Wherever she is, in whatever little hole she is hiding in, I will get her out of it. She isn't escaping this time. Without anyone else noticing, I slipped away from the fight and went around the pack house. I was looking for a way to go inside the house.
Through the window, I saw the family gathered in the kitchen. My eyes landed on Amaya who was looking very troubled, just the way I wanted her to be. I don't know what they were planning, but River and the other guy left the house, leaving Amaya and the other traitor, Morgan, along with River's parents. I watched them from the window as they left as well in the direction of a hallway. I patiently waited there like a predator waiting to pounce on its prey.
Once the coast was clear, I opened the window and went inside the house. Once inside, I followed where the scents were leading to see where exactly they were going. They were not going to run from me. I made sure to follow behind slowly so no one noticed my presence before. I made sure to mask our scents before we got here or else this mission would have been a burst. I followed until I was sure where they were going.
After confirming my target's location, I retreated. After a little while, everyone went down. The oldman came back alone. He left the others in that basement. I purposefully walked up to him. He looked startled and confused. Before he could react to an intruder in his home, I punched him in the face. He staggered back, but before he recovered, I put him in a headlock and stabbed him with a dose of concentrated wolfsbane. The man was a big guy. We struggled and knocked over things. He clawed at my arms and kicked, but I did not let go.
It took a while, but I finally managed to put him down. With him out of the way, my path was clear. There is nothing stopping her from my goal.
