Chapter 111: Pure Gold!

"Yo?"

Suddenly hearing Asa's unmistakable voice, Olga instinctively took a half-step back, pressing her small frame against the trembling green lizard.

Shocked by Asa's aura, it was a miracle the lizard didn't faint on the spot.

"You stupid pirate! Are you after the treasure that can buy the world too? Let me tell you, this treasure belongs to me alone! I'm greedier than anyone!" Olga seemed to realize that backing down was useless.

Trying to save face, she glared at Asa defiantly.

"Hahahahaha! You're such an unlovable little girl... I have no intention of asking for your permission!" Asa's face twitched slightly. He suddenly felt exhausted just speaking to a girl who had been alone for nearly two hundred years.

He reached out a large hand, pinched the back of Olga's collar, and effortlessly lifted the feather-light girl into the air.

"It doesn't matter whether you agree or not."

With that, Asa sat down on the lizard dragon lying on the ground, and threatened coldly, "Hurry and get to Stomach No. 3, or I'll stew you alive!"

He could reach Alchemy Island alone in his elemental form, but he couldn't carry a person that way—he needed transportation.

"Squeak!!"

The lizard dragon, Elizabeth, screamed in terror and bolted forward in a clumsy panic.

Half an hour later, Garp and Akainu finally arrived at Stomach No. 2. After a search, they found a pile of shattered stone—and buried underneath was the unconscious Vice Admiral Tsuru!

"Tsuru!!" Garp shouted in rare panic, urgently shaking her awake.

She groggily regained consciousness and immediately yelled, "Hurry... go after Asa! He kidnapped the little girl—don't let him get away with the pure gold!!"

"What?! That damn brat hurt you?!" Garp's expression turned savage with fury, like a rampaging lion.

The three of them began their pursuit of Asa...

The deeper they went, the darker it became. Less and less light from Lord Lantern could reach these depths.

Exhausted, the lizard dragon Elizabeth finally carried the two to Alchemy Island in the deepest part—Stomach No. 3!

Holding Mischia Olga, Asa walked through the ruined island, comparing the surroundings with memories in his mind and the intel from Mischia Asier.

The place was eerily quiet, lacking the warmth of Stomach No. 1 and No. 2. Olga's small body shivered.

"Zzzssssssssss!"

Electricity sparked from Asa's free right hand, illuminating the surroundings. As the voltage slowly increased, the lingering chill gradually faded.

"Yo?" Olga looked at his thunder-charged hand in surprise, then turned her head away with a pout. "Hmph! Even if you warm me up, I'm not sharing the treasure with you. Give it up!"

"I don't intend to share it with you. Besides—do you really think I don't know where the treasure is?" Asa replied with a half-smile.

"You do?!" Olga's surprise grew, and then she grinned mischievously. "Hehehehe! Once you find the treasure, I'll just find a way to stay by your side... and steal it when you're sleeping! Heheheh—ugh!"

"Silly girl. Saying everything in your heart... that could get you killed," Asa said with a wicked grin.

"You're calling me a little girl?! You're younger than anyone else! I've lived almost two hundred years!" Olga squirmed in Asa's grip, but her arms and legs were too short to reach the ground.

The two bickered all the way until they arrived at a special structure. Asa stepped forward and smashed the door open with a punch, stepping into a pitch-black passageway.

"BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!"

Countless traps triggered, unleashing a storm of arrows from both sides of the corridor. But since they were iron, they were deflected easily by Asa's electromagnetic field.

These basic traps might be a threat to ordinary people—but anyone with heightened senses, or trained in Haki, could dodge them easily.

At the end of the long passage, a cliff appeared. A target stood on the opposite side—only by hitting it could the bridge extend.

"Ho ho ho!!"

A triceratops and a pterosaur roared from above.

"Crack!"

Asa snapped his fingers. A lightning spear instantly materialized and shot straight through the target.

"Kakakaka!!"

Gears clicked and rotated as the bridge extended. Ignoring the roars of the triceratops and pterosaur, Asa crossed over with Olga in hand.

They passed through another long tunnel. At the end stood a massive crocodile's head—its material unknown, but extremely lifelike. Inside the gaping mouth was a keyhole.

Asa recognized it immediately—this was a trap left by Asier to prevent the greedy from reaching the pure gold. The real treasure was beneath them, in the research lab.

"Hey? So the pure gold's here? I'll steal it the moment you get it! Hehehehe!" Olga giggled wickedly again.

Asa could only sigh at her inability to keep her thoughts to herself. Without a word, he stomped hard on the ground!

"Boom!"

The sturdy floor cracked open beneath his foot, revealing a dark, deep tunnel.

"Down we go!!"

Dragging Olga along, the two of them dropped through the gap.

"Aaaaaahhhhhhh!"

Olga screamed as they fell. She broke into a cold sweat—her earlier smugness gone in a flash.

"Bang!!"

They landed on a soft cushion. Asa remained calm, having expected it.

Electricity flickered across his body as he pushed open the wooden door ahead and stepped into the laboratory that had once belonged to Asier—two centuries ago.

Rows of bookcases stood neatly, filled with texts about minerals. A blackboard bore complex formulas, while the worktable was cluttered with colorful ore samples.

"This is..." Olga's expression changed, her voice trembling. "My bastard father's... lab?"

"I don't know if your father's a bastard. Read his diary first before saying anything." Asa strolled casually to the desk, picked up a thick journal, and tossed it to her.

Then, his attention turned to a container that looked like a lamp...

The wooden base was inlaid with pieces of transparent glass, filled with a special solution that dimmed the glow of what was inside.

Suspended within—floating up and down—was a fist-sized piece of metal.

"This is the great creation that could drive the entire world to madness—pure gold," Asa whispered as he held up the container of wood and glass.

If what was inside were ever exposed to the world... countless people would swarm for it. The chaos it would unleash could rival even the start of the Great Pirate Era.
