Chapter 112: Ready to Leave

The light of pure gold inside the container was completely concealed. If the glowing object wasn't removed, no one would guess it was a "miraculous substance" capable of prolonging life almost indefinitely.

"Bang!!"

Asa shattered the protective glass cover. The solution that blocked the glow splashed everywhere as a fist-sized piece of pure gold rolled into his hand…

In an instant, the golden light outshone even the electricity coursing over his body, illuminating the entire lab like daylight.

"Boom!"

Far outside, the lantern fish—unconscious from pain—seemed to sense its favorite substance, pure gold, and began to stir.

Asa narrowed his eyes; even he couldn't look directly at the blazing light from such close range.

"Fwoosh!!"

Activating his electromagnetic powers, he drew untainted minerals from the table into his hand. The high-voltage current raised the temperature in an instant, allowing him to forge the pure gold into four bracelets.

After reshaping them, Asa slowly melted and layered the minerals onto the surface of the bracelets, completely concealing their glow.

Now, four white-silver pure gold bracelets rested on his left wrist. His mission was complete.

Just as he was preparing to leave…

"Uuuuuuuuuuuuuu..."

Mischia Olga bit her lip and began to cry. After reading her father's diary, she fully understood his intentions. All the resentment she had carried for nearly two centuries vanished in an instant.

She couldn't help but cry as she realized her father had researched pure gold solely for her sake.

"Stop crying. Now that you know why your father created pure gold, let's go find him." Asa lifted her by the collar again.

"Uuuuuuuu... but my bastard father is already dead!" Olga sobbed uncontrollably.

"Hahahaha! If I already knew where the pure gold was, why would I bring you along?" Asa chuckled. "It's because I made a deal with your father. I promised I'd bring you to see him, you little idiot."

"You're the idiot!!" Olga shouted, flailing wildly in his grip.

They exited the lab together. Asa glanced once more at the countless research notes on pure gold, then concentrated an ultra-compressed thunderball in his palm—and hurled it.

Garp, Vice Admiral Tsuru, and Akainu were still inside the lantern fish. They'd find this place eventually. If the research remained intact, and the World Government somehow succeeded in replicating pure gold…

"BOOM!!"

A thunderous explosion engulfed the lab. The research, the records, the secrets of pure gold—were all reduced to ashes.

At the same time, the trio who had just entered Stomach No. 3 heard the blast.

"What was that noise?"

"Who cares what it was? We're heading there anyway!" Garp said, picking his nose furiously. "I'm gonna make that brat Asa taste my Iron Fist again!"

"Olga, tell Elizabeth to take a detour!" Asa suddenly raised his head, sensing Garp and the others nearby.

"Why? It's faster to go straight!" Olga protested. She didn't want to waste another second—she just wanted to see her father.

"It's fine if we don't. But if we get into a fight with those three Marines, the shockwaves alone might kill you." Asa shrugged. He didn't fear Garp and the others at all—but he did worry about failing his promise to bring Olga back safely, or letting a talent like Asier slip away.

"Elizabeth, take a detour!" Olga responded quickly, steering the lizard dragon to veer off without Asa needing to say another word.

Elizabeth turned sharply at her master's command…

And so, the two parties missed each other completely.

On the isolated island in Stomach No. 1, several enormous dinosaurs roamed freely in search of food. A dozen smaller dinosaurs played near the cave entrance.

Among them, wearing a ragged dinosaur hide, Asier crawled and wandered aimlessly. After two centuries of living among these beasts, he had fully blended in—his scent indistinguishable from the real thing.

His steps were restless and erratic, as he anxiously waited for news of Asa.

"Bah bang bang!!"

Elizabeth's steady steps echoed as she crossed the acidic gastric fluids to reach the island.

"Roar!!"

The group of dinosaurs instantly picked up the scent of the three unexpected visitors.

"Move." Asa narrowed his eyes and spoke in a low voice. His overwhelming presence burst forth, sending the dinosaurs fleeing in every direction.

His Conqueror's Haki had awakened days ago, but he still had little control over it. Right now, he could only increase his presence slightly. He was far from mastering it—let alone knocking others out with it.

He regretted not asking Chinjao about how to use Conqueror's Haki back when he asked him about Armament Haki.

Still, Asa wasn't worried. There were plenty of Haki users in the New World—sooner or later, he'd find someone to learn from.

As the dinosaurs scattered, Asier noticed the disturbance and slowly approached, his eyes growing moist as he spotted the little blonde girl riding on Elizabeth.

At the same moment, Olga saw Asier—and fell speechless.

After two centuries apart, father and daughter had no words.

"Olga… is that you? Olga!"

After a long silence, tears streamed down Asier's round face. Despite his shrunken limbs, his legs erupted with unexpected strength as he dashed forward—

"Wooooooooo~"

"Wooooooooo~"

Father and daughter embraced tightly, sobbing uncontrollably…

"Asier, I've brought your daughter back. Does our deal still stand?" Asa interrupted the emotional scene.

"Yes—of course!" Asier wiped his tears and nodded with determination.

Seeing his daughter alive was already more than he'd dared to hope for. He would honor his promise to Asa.

"Very good!" Asa nodded, pleased. "Remember what I said. In two years, I'll return to this lantern fish to retrieve you."

This creature loved pure gold. All Asa needed to do was release a faint glow—and the lantern fish would come, like a cat smelling fish.

Back then, Alchemy Island had been half-swallowed because of the pure gold.

His mission was complete. Asa was satisfied. He instructed Asier and Olga to hide—and began preparing to make the lantern fish vomit him (and Garp) out.
