Chapter 30- Deal

Tyler's POV

Declan's expression darkened. "The gunmen will find you even if you run."

I stared at my father, my jaw tightening as he repeated the same thing he'd been saying before.

"No matter where you run, Tyler, they will find you," Declan said, his voice calm but firm. "It's better you stay with me. I can protect you."

My hands curled into fists. My heart pounded, not just with anger but with suspicion. He sounded too sure—too certain.

I took a step forward, locking eyes with him. "How do you know that?" I asked, my voice sharp. "How do you know they'll find me, no matter where I go?"

Declan's expression didn't change.

"This isn't even the first time you've said something like that," I continued. "It almost sounds like you want them to find me. Like you… hired them yourself."

Beside me, my mother, let out a sharp gasp.
