Safer Without Him

Tyler's POV

my voice echoing off the walls. My head was spinning. I couldn't believe what my mother had just said.

Declan—that man—was in our house.

And she wanted me to go with him?

I turned to her, my chest rising and falling rapidly as I tried to process the insanity of it all. "What the hell is he doing here, Mom?" My voice was rough, filled with anger, disbelief—betrayal. "I thought he left! Why did you let him in? And now you're telling me I need to go with him? Are you serious?"

My mother's expression was strained, guilt and worry clouding her eyes. "Tyler, listen to me—"

"No! No, I'm not listening to this." I took a step back, shaking my head as I let out a bitter laugh. "You let him in, Mom. After everything. And now you expect me to just follow him like some lost dog?"
