The moment Mala heard those words, she ran as fast as her legs could carry her, heading towards the burial grounds.
Francis' eyes flashed with anger as he glared at Queen Venessa and Mala's father, standing with their sons with no regrets in their eyes.
"Your highness, please….I can explain," Lord Lucas said shakily as he lowered his head.
"Your Highness, please forgive my husband's negligence," Queen Venessa begged. Obviously, she didn't mean any of those words.
"I came for something important. But know that I can burn down the whole village with you in it if anything happens to Mala," Francis warned before he walked into the throne room. "Meet me here when Mala is done mourning her mother. For now, I do not want to see your faces."
The moment Francis left, Queen Venessa immediately walked towards king Lucas and held his hands. "What's all of this?" She asked, whispering.
King Lucas kept a straight face. "I do not know," he answered.
