Chapter 14

The hall of summons was located in the heart of Litzen city. Rather than a hall, it was a tall skyscraper that dwarfed the nearby building surrounding it. To the people of Litzen city it was a symbol of power. The building was practically the tallest building in the vicinity of Litzen that almost reached the sky.

The building served many purposes for summoners. It also served as a registration centre for newly awakened summoners who wished to partake in dungeon outings.

Principal lukeman adjusted the glasses on his face before approaching the receptionist.

There were several receptionists outlined in front of him, but he chossed the lady who just finished attending to a customer.

There were many people on the first floor of the building. The first floor of the hall of summons was the reception point. The reception point was the first floor you came across when you entered the building.

"Good day sir, how may I help you?" The receptionist gave him a welcoming smile that didn't hide the bags under her eyes despite her heavy makeup.

"Nothing dear, just here for the updates on the school tournament of summoners." Principal Lukeman replied, he was dressed admirably.

"No problem sir, just give me a second." The receptionist began to type into the monitor in front of her. It didn't take long before she handed him a flyer she printed.

"Here you go sir"

Principal Lukeman took the flyer she handed with a 'thank you.' He didn't immediately sit down. But rather he took his time and inspected the paper.

The school tournament was starting a few months from now. It was a global event where each school selected a few of their students that will represent the school. When they meant a few of their students, they meant the best of the best.

"This will do." Principal Lukeman muttered to himself. He turned to leave before bumping into someone.

The broad figure with Gold Locks humped irrationally when principal Lukeman bumped into him. He straightened the crease of this tight fitting suit.

"You'll do well to look where you are going." He glared at the man with glasses. On inspection he recognized the person that bumped into him. "principal Lukeman"

"pardon me, principal Goldman. I was in a bit of a hurry." Principal Lukeman held out his hand in apology.

Principal Goldman looked at the hand but he didn't take it. His eyes caught sight of the paper in the other principal's hand. He didn't need a soothsayer to tell him what principal Lukeman had been up to.

"See ,you have been busy." Principal Goldman said looking at the paper before he averted his eyes to Lukeman.

"Me ? Everyone is busy these days." Said principal Lukeman sheepishly, before retracting his hand.

The humble look principal Lukeman had on his face eased the golden haired principal a bit. Principal Goldman had known principal Lukeman for as long as he could remember.

They attended the same high school and even awakened on the same day. But they were not actually the best of friends. They both sought to better the other.

Principal Goldman adjusted the tie on his neck. "Very well. I don't mind your clumsiness, so I would put this matter aside. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a pressing matter regarding my attention."

He shoved Lukeman aside who frowned in displeasure. At the moment Lukeman noticed the young boy that trotted behind the broad principal.

'outstanding!' lukeman gasped in his head. The teenager had a solid foundation of soul energy. And from his perspective, Lukeman could tell the kid must have a strong contracted beast. With time the boy in front of him will be a strong summoner. Kids with talent like this were hard to come by. They were rare. If only he could recruit this kid to his school he wouldn't have to worry about the upcoming tournament.

"Least I forget." Principal Goldman's voice snapped him from his fantasy. "This is my student Chris Frizewood." Said principal Goldman proudly. He drew Chris closer to himself and placed his arm around the kid's shoulder like a trophy.

The action made principal Goldman look like a child showing off his new toy.

"Remarkable isn't he." continued principal Goldman. "His talent is, let's say one in a few. The day he awakened he bonded with a lycan."

"You praise me too much sir." Chris said quickly, giving him the humble attitude.

The other principal agreed that Chris was going to be a strong summoner. But he didn't fail to notice the obvious smirk on Chris's face as his principal showered praises on him.

"I can see he is a protege. He must have learned from the best."

" Of course, he has." Principal Goldman beamed relishing in delight to the other principal's words.

"I wish you success in the upcoming tournament." Principal Lukeman said hurriedly before turning to go. He felt that the longer he lingered, the more irritated he would be due to principal Goldman's attitude. Sure he had better students than him. He wouldn't want to stay and let him run it all over his face. So what if he had better students or his school was better polished than him. Well he would be lying if he said he wasn't envious of his success, but he was content with what he had. Content? What rubbish, he wished he had an equally strong student so he could rub it in on principal Goldman's face.

" Luck? I don't think we need it, but you definitely do. Or your school isn't taking part in it like last year?"

The proud principal Goldman's words struck a nerve in him, but he managed to suppress his anger and put up a fake smile. "Nothing is certain. principal Goldman, have a good day."

Principal Lukeman didn't bother waiting for a response as he turned his back to leave. He weaved through the crowd and exited out of the building.

His car was parked a few meters from his right. He located his vehicle and hopped in. The key was placed in the ignition and brought the car back to life and he drove off.

'Damn it!' principal Lukeman cursed in his head as he navigated his way on the road. He was upset at principal Goldman's attitude back at the hall of summons. But he kept a cool face.

He expected no less from principal Goldman's mockery of him. He knew the proud faced principal since school. But his words made him angry.

The teenage boy, Chris had a tremendous amount of soul energy. He could sense it at a glance making him believe that his summoned beast was not weak. What was it? Yes a lycan. A mythical wolf type creature that had speed and inhuman strength as well as Sharp senses.

With the kid, principal Goldman was sure of a favourable spot in the upcoming tournament this year.

Soul energy determines the strength of a summoner and Chris had...... Speaking of soul energy, there was one who came to his mind suddenly. A boy with multi colored hair. The uncon who failed his awakening. His soul energy was all his office when he came to him. Comparing both kid would be comparing a sea to a river.

What was his name again. 'Sam Delon'
