Chapter 29

After saying all this, Acting Grand Master Jean slowly exited the room. She believed Famas would understand her intentions and would definitely stay.

"After all, what lsp wouldn't love a girl's private room?"

This was Famas' thought, but Jean had no idea. Her mind was filled with the internal affairs of Mondstadt that had been delayed due to the Dvalin situation, as well as the mountain of paperwork piling up. Just thinking about it made Jean's head hurt again.

Watching Jean place the key on the coffee table and close the door behind her, Famas relaxed and sank into the sofa, his whole body sinking into its softness.

Feeling the familiar scent, Famas began to think about his next steps.

"I'm not strong enough yet. If I go to Liyue now, I'll probably get beaten up by Morax, right?"

Famas shook his head. Absorbing the divine power from the two Visions had only slightly restored his strength, barely allowing him to maintain his human form. But defeating Morax? Not a chance. Even Dvalin was only barely manageable.

"I need to find a new source of power."

Famas pondered.

"There's still Klee and Bennett's Visions I haven't absorbed… and there's Xiangling, the wandering chef from Liyue…"

Famas' gaze seemed to pierce through the walls of Vennessa's living room, as if he could see Klee in the confinement room.

"Right! Klee's probably still in confinement. Stealing her Vision is out of the question, but if I take her to Starfell Lake to fish-bomb a few times, borrowing her Vision should be a piece of cake, right?"

A gleam of excitement flashed in Famas' eyes.

"First, replenish my power, then go find Klee."

After making his decision, Famas immediately began to connect with the ley lines, continuously absorbing Pyro energy.

Poor Acting Grand Master Jean was completely unaware of this. She was still struggling to handle multiple environmental issues caused by the battle between Dvalin and Famas, such as "ley line eruption at Starsnatch Cliff causing mass death of fruit trees," "sudden forest fire at Starsnatch Cliff," and "meteorite impact at Starsnatch Cliff."

However, by the time Famas fully recovered his strength and opened his eyes on the sofa, it was already dusk.

Famas quietly opened the door and slipped down the stairs from the second floor of the Knights of Favonius headquarters.

The hall of the Knights of Favonius was brightly lit. As Famas approached Jean's office, he suddenly heard her angry voice from inside.

"Klee! Hand over all the bombs!"

Facing the Acting Grand Master's stern gaze, the seemingly harmless little red-haired girl had no choice but to surrender the explosives she had hidden all over her body. Then, under the escort of the gleeful Cavalry Captain Kaeya, she tearfully headed to the confinement room.

This kind of story probably played out once or twice every week.

"Hey, Mr. Famas, settling in well at the Knights of Favonius?"

Cavalry Captain Kaeya, who was responsible for escorting little Klee, greeted Famas with a smile. Aside from Famas' identity as the Pyro Archon, Kaeya had already learned from Jean that Famas was the Pyro Slime and about his current formidable strength.

"Good evening, Kaeya."

Famas greeted Kaeya, then turned his attention to Klee, who was crying pitifully.

"Big brother, good evening…"

Kaeya poked Klee, who had red eyes, signaling her to greet Famas.

Famas looked down.

There stood an adorable little blonde girl with golden curls, elf-like long ears, and a red outfit with a fluffy scarf. She carried a small red backpack on her shoulders, bouncing around cutely.

"I'm dead."

Famas said this with a completely straight face.

"Huh? Mr. Famas, what are you saying?"

Kaeya was startled by Famas' words and rubbed his eyes in disbelief.

"No, Kaeya, I'm alive again."

Famas let out a long sigh, suppressing the urge to pick up Klee and give her a good squeeze. Instead, he smiled and bent down, patting Klee's head.

"Klee, why are you crying so much?"

Looking at the pitiful Klee, Famas couldn't help but pat her head while also giving her little ears a gentle pinch.

"Setting off fireworks in the city, confinement report; bombs hurting people, Jean comes knocking; setting fire to the mountains, Klee's doomed…"

Feeling the pat on her head, Klee seemed even more aggrieved. She looked up at Famas.

"Wah… Klee bombed the fish in Starfell Lake, and Acting Grand Master Jean is going to put Klee in confinement…"

Klee suddenly hugged Famas, who also had a fiery aura, and wiped her tears and snot on the red-clad big brother.

"Big brother, you smell so nice, like Mommy."

After rubbing against him a few times, Klee caught a familiar scent of Pyro energy from this unfamiliar big brother and clung to him tightly.

"Klee, don't wipe your snot on the big brother."

Kaeya watched as Famas held Klee and shook his head helplessly.

"Now, come with me to the confinement room. I'll put in a good word with Acting Grand Master Jean, and you'll be out sooner, okay?"

"Mhm… okay…"

Hearing this, Klee reluctantly let go of Famas and looked at him with longing.

"Big brother, are you called Famas?"

Klee asked Famas with a clueless expression.

"Yes, I just arrived at the Knights of Favonius. Klee, listen to Kaeya, and when you get out of confinement, big brother will take you fish-bombing, okay?"

Famas stroked Klee's soft hair, looking at her radiant energy even while crying, and felt his heart melt.

"Okay! It's a promise! You can't break it!"

Hearing the word "fish-bombing," Klee immediately stopped crying, her red eyes shining brightly.

The two figures, one red and one blue, accompanied Klee into the confinement room. After closing the specially made iron door, Kaeya asked Famas with lingering concern.

"You weren't serious about taking Klee fish-bombing, were you?"

"Ahem, of course I was joking."

Famas coughed lightly, but judging from the seriousness in his eyes, Kaeya didn't think he was joking.
