Chapter 11: Miracle Baby

Aurora was never a healthy child. She was the weakest among all of her siblings. A Miracle Baby.

According to the doctors, Aurora should have died at birth, but she miraculously survived.

However...that wasn't the end of her misery...

She was plagued by many diseases over the years.

This was the reason why her parents were so tolerant toward her. This was also the reason why they would keep on monitoring her behavior.

Last year she had Hernia surgery. 

Her parents tried their best to cover the medical surgery cost but it wasn't sufficient. Her siblings took out their savings too.

None of them ever talked about cost, but Aurora knew. The total bill was a staggering sum of $30,891.

It included her medication, consultation, the room she was staying and the surgery itself.

Aurora silently smiled, her eyes turning a bit moist.

According to her dreams, Jacob was the very reason Adriana fell in love with Henry.

Jacob and Adriana had a classic teenage love story. Adriana was the popular cheerleader and Jacob was the star performer of the football team.

Both of them fell in love and started their relationship at the age of 16.

At 17, cracks began to show, when Adriana realized...how empty Jacob's promises were, while Jacob felt bored of Adriana.

The gap further widened when Jacob in need of money, asks Adriana for help, but she refuses him.

At 18 when Adriana requests Jacob to buy some items for her, Jacob refuses, claiming he has no money.

However, after one week, Adriana sees him spending money on some other young lady. She breaks up with him.

But Jacob doesn't stop there and starts to spread rumors, claiming Adriana is a wealthy heiress but she doesn't spend a penny on her boyfriend.

According to Jacob, Adriana was a rich heiress, however, she had an argument with her parents and hence did a part-time job to spite her father.

Apparently, everyone believed it. Reason? Adriana's clothes. They were top-notch. At least they looked like the clothes belonging to a high-end clothing store.

This rumor however works in Adriana's favor, and more people start to interact with her. She even became a part of the elite circle.

Henry, the second male lead, was attracted by Adirana's wealthy background and subtly started to help her.

Very smartly he made an impression on Adriana and even saved her multiple times.

Adriana started to love him, marking the beginning of her misfortune.

Aurora listened the conversation silently for a while and left when the call was over. The cheerful smile on her face returned as she enjoyed the chocolate cake.

Nothing seemed out of ordinary.

Adriana came out of the room with a puffy red eyes. She avoided looking in Aurora's direction and quickly took out the ice from the fridge.

With ice in her hand, she returned to the room.

Aurora watched Adriana with a cheerful smile all along.

At the dinner table, Aurora coughed and puffed her chest, in a magnanimous tone she said,

"Sister Adriana, make a wish. I have met a fairy god mother just 8 days ago in my dream. She told me, she can fulfil three wishes all of my siblings. However it can't be money."

Everyone at the table was amused by Adriana's antics. Mary gently scolded, 

"Sit down and eat your food. Did you forget the rule? No talking while eating?"

Aurora sighed and sat back down, her lowered head, looked that of a puppy abandoned by some owner.

Olivia smirked,

"Aurora you look like a dog drenched in toilet water."

Aurora rolled her eyes,

"At least whenever I open my mouth, I don't spray toilet water on others."

Olivia: "..."

Theodore laughed, and gave a thumbs up to Aurora, who showed a smug expression.

However she didn't forget her mission and turned to Adriana, 

"Sister you still haven't told me."

Adirana pretended to think for a while and answered,

"Then I want a $50,000 gift card of Star Icon."

Aurora: "..." Greedy.

She stared at Adriana for a while, before shaking her head with a serious expression,

"But fairy godmother gave me a budget of $50 for each gift."

'I am truly smart.' Aurora praised herself.

One second.

Two Second.

The entire family laughed hearing Aurora's words. Olivia mocked her mercilessly,

"Aurora, even the fairy god mother visiting you is poor. Leave her and find new one."
