Jasper approached slowly, his footsteps measured.
The closer he got, the more certain he became. He wasn't going to let this opportunity slip through his fingers.
"Hello, mysterious lady..." he said smoothly, standing just a few feet away.
Nora turned toward Jasper as if she was noticing him for the first time.
"Oh?" she murmured, her voice light but unreadable.
"I was standing in the corner and suddenly I noticed that you were all alone so I thought of accompanying you." He said with a faint smile.
"If a beautiful lady like you stands alone at a party like this," he said softly, "it would be a shame if no one kept you company."
Nora tilted her head slightly, pretending to be amused. "Oh? And you decided to be that person?"
Jasper chuckled, his voice deep and charming.
"Of course. I couldn't just walk past and ignore you." He leaned in just a little, lowering his voice.
