The goddess Selene

The Wolf was tied and on the ground, while the soldiers were thinking about what to do with her exactly. Nayleth was paralyzed, not able to move, while I was trying to figure out what to do. Only 2 hits were needed for them to kill me, and they seemed to be capable of causing damage way further up from what I could. Even their HP seemed to be faster than what I could imagine.

What was I finding myself in these situations? I have nothing in this world. No connections, no story, no real desire to achieve anything on it. I was just thrown into a random world by pure chance after I tried to help someone.

Once again that message appeared in front of me.

"Not takin' chances," Said the one with the bow and shot one into the air.

The arrow was followed by a bright red light that illuminated the dark forest until it reached a high point, and exploded like a firework. The sound of the explosion was loud and should have been heard several kilometers away, not even counting the light. It was a call for reinforcements.

"Heh, you alerted the scouting party looking for them," said the one with the mace, pointing at us.

They seemed to have forgotten about me, they probably knew I was not a huge threat to them. What level are they? What makes them powerful? How can I deal with them in this situation?

"Well, ours too" answered the one with the spear "We can kill them ourselves. Think the Demon Queen would be in there?"

"None seem important, ya know?" Said the one with the bow "She probably sent just grunts"

"We slaughter them all together" answered the one with the mace.

I looked around. The goblin lady was there, looking directly at me. What was she doing? Judging me? Her face seemed distorted, looking at me. Then I saw Nayleth, he seemed to be looking at me too, judging me while paralyzed. My breathing hitched, getting faster and I started to pant. Cold sweat started to pour all over my body and I felt my heart beating right on my neck, trying to escape.

Why was I thinking that? No, I needed to do something to continue living. I was not going to die like this.

My feet start to move alone and make me turn around to run away.

But then I felt pain, immense amounts of pain on my left arm. A force made me fall to the ground with my face right on the ground. I barely registered the [91] points of damage I received.

"AAH!" I yelled against the dirt. I looked at what caused the pain, an arrow was lodged in my flesh.

"Ya believed we forgot about ya?" said the one with the bow.

"Did you do a low amount of damage, right?" Asked the one with the mace.

"Aye" answered my attacker "way lower than normal"

"He is full of surprises"

Then the one with the mace approached me, smiling and laughing. I was hoping someone else would jump and save me like it has happened so far. Every time someone came in and managed to take me out right at the moment of proximity.

"You know the captain wants him, August," said the one with the spear.

"Accidents happen" answered August.

Then he raised his mace and everything went dark.

I was feeling nothing. I was in a void, far away from pain yet so familiar. This place was somewhere I found myself before.

"Hahahaha! So you finally did get here!" I heard a voice exchange between a male and female, one that I knew which one it was. Kalamith.

"Man! You lasted more than I thought!" I heard his voice mocking me, damn god, laughing at my misery. I tried to answer back but I was not capable "You know, I had a hard time finding you, I wanted to have fun following you as you struggled your way to getting killed. BUT BY A LEVEL 6 GRUNT OF THE SACRED ARMY! That is hilarious"

Heck, I remembered how much I hated him. No mouth, no way to communicate, I was forced to listen to the way he was mocking me.

Then a tall figure that seemed to be human, giant and imposing, with golden skin, appeared in front of me, looking at me. I could see no discernible features, his whole body was plain with no details. And a weird aura seemed to engulf him.

"You know, I could send you back and see how much fun we have… but I need to keep things balanced, we promised our summons would get no revives," He said while laughing "You are still my summon and if they see me doing you these favors they might believe I am cheating at out game here"

Game? What game? Is he talking about the system?

"Welp, sorry. Time moves differently here than the world where you just died and I must return… hey, I just noticed… your soul looks different than before. Did you find a rare item?" He asked, curious, he got his face closer to me, and I knew he was inspecting me "Yeah, you managed to do something… too bad it amounted to no-"

Then he paused. Steps could be heard behind me. Someone was walking towards us. I turned my face only to see the goddess that helped me a few days back and fixed my system.

"And who are you?" Both Kalamith's tone and pose turned more serious.

"What? You cannot remember me, Kalamith?" She said as she stopped right beside me. She had a big smile on her face, showing confidence, she stood with a hand resting over her chest "I am Selene, darling. You should not forget my name ever. And this should right here?" she passed her hand over my soul. I could 'feel it' as it went through me, warm and calming "He is mine now. Thank you for the gift" then she winked at him.

"Y-you?!" He was surprised, showing they had a story "Who let you in?!"

"Poor little boy" She laughed with a hand on her mouth "It was you, through him"

"W-what?!" he said, surprised, then he looked at me "Then I will destroy him-"

But he got interrupted when Selene made a movement with her hand, and Kamalith disappeared.

"Sorry, baby. I don't like threesomes"
