"It's just one angry fucker," I mutter, flopping down onto Caspian's bed.
The words leave my mouth before I can stop them, and I instantly feel the familiar stir of irritation from within me.
Aries has been like this all day—angry, unsettled, and downright impossible to handle.
"You have no idea," he growls in the back of my mind, his presence dark and heavy. "I'm not the problem. You are."
I roll my eyes and suppress the urge to snap back at him. Caspian watches me from across the room, clearly amused, his lips quirking up in that half-smile of his.
It's the kind of smile that always makes my heart skip a beat, but right now, it just adds to my irritation.
"So, it's quite the character, huh?" Caspian asks, raising an eyebrow as if he's trying to gauge my reaction.
"You have no idea," I mutter, glancing up at him.
"You know," he says with a slight tilt of his head, "I've never met a wolf like yours."
