Peter, filled with a mix of excitement, curiosity, and a hint of nervousness, followed T'Challa and Princess Shuri out of the banquet hall and towards the adjacent research facility.
The siblings didn't seem to notice Peter's complicated emotions.
Along the way, Shuri kept chatting with him.
Besides expressing gratitude for Peter's help in saving her brother, she was also quite curious about the method he suggested for Vision's operation.
Because under normal circumstances, without knowledge of Wakandan technology, the success rate of such a procedure—based on modern medicine and biology—would have been nearly zero.
Only Wakanda, with its ultra-precise instruments capable of scanning neural synapses, could have pulled it off.
Which meant Peter had to be highly familiar with Wakandan technology.
"Mr. Peter, how did you come up with that method? To be honest, I didn't even think of it at first! It was only after they told me about it that I had further insights."
Peter's face showed a trace of awkwardness. "Actually, it was originally your idea, Princess Shuri. I saw it in the quantum realm and simply mentioned it ahead of time. So, in truth, I don't really understand the details."
Using borrowed knowledge and pretending to be a genius in front of the original creator—he didn't have the audacity for that.
"That's such a pity," Shuri said with some disappointment. She had thought she had found a like-minded intellectual.
As a prodigy who had displayed extraordinary intelligence since her teenage years, Shuri had become Wakanda's chief researcher by the age of eighteen, showcasing her exceptional brilliance.
However, being both incredibly smart and of noble status made it difficult for her to find friends her age.
"I wonder what kind of existence the quantum realm really is. That's a field even Wakandan technology hasn't ventured into," she mused, quickly shifting her focus.
"Alright, Shuri, this isn't something you can just discuss casually," T'Challa interjected, gently patting her on the head and pulling her back.
She had been leaning in so closely to Peter that he was finding it difficult to walk properly.
Only when she was pulled away did Peter finally breathe a sigh of relief.
He smiled slightly and said, "Actually, there's no harm in explaining a little. The quantum realm doesn't have an objective sense of up, down, left, or right. In that way, it's somewhat similar to outer space. The sensation inside is…"
As Peter recalled his experience in the quantum realm, he described it in detail.
Shuri listened intently, nodding occasionally, as if mentally recording every bit of information.
After what had happened to her brother, she was now determined to study the quantum field seriously.
As they talked, the three of them arrived at Wakanda's research facility.
Even at night, the lab was brightly lit, with many Wakandan scientists still hard at work.
Upon closer inspection, several workstations held various alien artifacts.
These were all items salvaged from the wreckage of the Chitauri Leviathan during the battle earlier that day.
Among them were power cores from the Leviathan, energy barrier generators, Chitauri armor, melee and ranged weapons—practically every recoverable piece of technology had been collected for study.
Thanos had attempted to gather Wakanda's data through a suicidal assault. In return, Wakanda could now analyze Chitauri technology to develop countermeasures.
The trio bypassed the outer labs and headed straight to the inner sections.
The security inside was far superior to the perimeter.
Even the vibranium-reinforced laboratory doors alone were enough to make any intruder's vision go dark.
Once inside, the space became even more expansive, and the technological atmosphere intensified.
Transparent cylindrical chambers lined the lab, each containing various strange objects—likely Wakandan research projects.
In fact, aside from a select few researchers, ordinary people were not permitted to enter this laboratory.
However, considering that T'Challa had even taken Peter to his private royal base before, bringing him here didn't seem all that surprising.
Peter's gaze, however, didn't linger on these peripheral objects—despite the fact that any one of them, if taken outside, could be sold for a fortune that most people couldn't accumulate in multiple lifetimes.
That was because, not far in front of him, inside one of these cylindrical containers, there was a suit—a Spider-Man suit with a cool metallic sheen!
Its design was nearly identical to his previous upgraded suit, down to the exact same proportions.
The only difference was the material.
That distinctive color, that unmistakable texture… And the fact that it was in Wakanda—
This was a Spider-Man suit made of vibranium.
Or rather, it should be called the Vibranium Spider Suit!
Was Black Panther really gifting him a vibranium Spider-Man suit?!
T'Challa spoke, "Once vibranium is shaped, it becomes very difficult to alter its form. However, as long as it remains inside this containment unit, we can still make some minor adjustments. So, Peter, if you have any specific requests, now is the time to let us know. Shuri will make the necessary modifications."
Shuri had already moved to the cylindrical container, pulling out a control panel from somewhere. She looked at Peter, waiting for his instructions.
Peter was momentarily speechless.
He had expected that the wealthy and resourceful Wakandans might reward him with some vibranium weapons or gadgets.
But he had never imagined they would go so far as to craft an entire vibranium suit just for him!
T'Challa noticed Peter's hesitation and reassured him, "Peter, I hope you won't refuse. This is simply a small token of friendship from us."
"Yeah! You saved T'Challa, you saved Wakanda—this is just a little vibranium, no big deal. Don't overthink it," Shuri chimed in.
Just a little vibranium?
Peter was at a loss for words at this billionaire-level nonchalance.
Vibranium was incredibly rare. The market price for just 1 gram of vibranium was around $10,000. According to some analysts Peter had seen in his past life, the estimated cost of T'Challa's Black Panther suit was roughly $8 billion (not just for the vibranium, but also the high-tech enhancements).
Judging by its appearance, the Vibranium Spider Suit in front of him wouldn't cost any less than the Black Panther suit.
As for its market price…
If the Black Panther suit were ever put up for auction, do you think $8 billion would be enough to buy it?
The price could easily quadruple or quintuple!
The same would apply to this Vibranium Spider Suit.
Maybe this still wasn't clear enough—
Remember S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Helicarrier?
That thing probably cost less than $8 billion to build.
Which meant S.H.I.E.L.D. used $8 billion as the foundation for an airborne base—
While Black Panther carried $8 billion worth of tech on his body.
And now, he was handing another $8 billion suit to Peter, inviting him to join this absurdly overpowered club!
It was... sudden.
But so incredibly tempting!
