Chapter 94: Infinite War (Part 4)

The Vibranium Spider Suit had elevated Peter's defense to its absolute peak.

At present, the only being capable of breaking through his armor and posing a real threat to him was Thanos wielding four Infinity Stones.

Oh, wait—perhaps the Black Order could as well.

After all, Thanos possessed a metal even rarer than Vibranium—Uru steel.

In the original story, Thanos wielded a massive blade called the Tyrant Slayer—a name that sounded rather over-the-top, but its power was undeniable. That sword was strong enough to cleave through Captain America's Adamantium shield in a single strike!

Furthermore, two members of the Black Order—Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight—also wielded formidable weapons.

Corvus Glaive's Soul Blade could easily pierce Vision's body—and Vision himself was made of pure Vibranium.

His wife, Proxima Midnight, carried the Night Spear, which was just as deadly.

Both weapons were likely forged from Uru steel.

Peter kept this in mind. If he had to face them, he would proceed with extreme caution.

As for Ebony Maw, who was already dead, and Black Dwarf's giant scythe, Peter wasn't sure if they were also made of Uru.

Ebony Maw was irrelevant now, given that he was already eliminated.

As for Black Dwarf's giant scythe, it didn't seem particularly impressive in battle.

Sure, he had casually thrown it, and it had smashed through several buildings—

That might sound impressive, but in the Marvel Universe, where superheroes and supervillains routinely demolished entire city blocks, it wasn't exactly groundbreaking.

SWOOSH! SWOOSH! SWOOSH!

Peter's four Vibranium Spider Legs transformed into razor-sharp spears, weaving through the swarm of Dark Servants with precise, deadly efficiency.

This morning, during a last-minute training session, Peter had already begun synchronizing with his AI battle system.

Thanks to its exceptional learning abilities, the AI had quickly adapted to Peter's fighting style.

And after a few minutes of real combat, their coordination had improved even further.

Now, they fought in perfect harmony.

As Peter moved through the battlefield, his Vibranium Spider Legs, guided by the AI system, automatically targeted and struck the weak points—the heads and spines—of the Dark Servants.

All Peter had to do was throw his enemies off balance, making it easier for his Spider Legs to land their killing blows.

The only thing left to do was—

Advance.

Advance!

And advance even further!

Thick, dark blood splattered across the battlefield.

Under Peter and his team's ruthless efficiency, the hundreds of Dark Servants trapped within their kill zone were swiftly eradicated.

Once the slaughter was complete, Peter led his squad back to their defensive lines.

After a brief moment of rest, they prepared for the next wave of battle.

The strategy remained unchanged:

Lower the barrier → Unleash long-range firepower → Raise the barrier → Close-quarters slaughter.

With this cyclic strategy, Peter's unit alone eliminated nearly a thousand Dark Servants every thirty minutes.

And there were five or six other combat zones operating simultaneously.

Meaning that, every half hour, the Dark Servants were losing around 5,000 to 6,000 troops.

Meanwhile, Earth's forces—thanks to strategic planning and superior equipment—had suffered minimal casualties.

After several hours of battle, only a handful of soldiers had sustained minor injuries.

However...

The situation remained far from optimistic.

After yet another wave of slaughter, Peter retreated to the defensive line, his expression grim as he gazed at the mountainous piles of Dark Servant corpses in the distance.

It wasn't just his area—across all battlefronts, the sheer number of fallen Dark Servants was overwhelming.

The sheer scale was so massive that the corpse piles could be seen from several kilometers away.

In just a few hours, Peter's battalion alone had taken down six to seven thousand Dark Servants. If he included all the other battle zones, the number was likely approaching a hundred thousand.

But even so, as Peter looked beyond the barrier, he could see an endless horde of Dark Servants still pouring out from the obelisks—

Their numbers showed no sign of decreasing.

"Peter, something feels off," Holland Spider removed his mask as he landed beside Peter.

Peter nodded, then asked, "Ava, did you find anything?"

"Huh?" Holland Spider glanced around, realizing Ghost was nowhere to be seen. "Where is she?"

"Boss, there are a ton of machines here, all running at full power, constantly churning out these Dark Servants. Should I destroy them?"

Ava's voice came through Peter's earpiece.

Right now, she was inside the nearest obelisk, just beyond the defensive perimeter.

Peter had suspected something was off more than ten minutes ago, so he had sent Ghost to investigate.

Her invisibility was utterly broken—not only could she evade the naked eye, but she could also slip past infrared detectors to a certain extent.

With this ability, she had effortlessly infiltrated enemy territory, slipping past thousands of Dark Servants undetected and making her way inside the obelisk.

"Huh?" Holland Spider's eyes widened.

Peter shot him a calm look. "Don't do anything reckless. The Emperor of the Black Universe isn't that easy to deal with."

"Got it, Boss," Ghost acknowledged before going silent.

Peter immediately activated his comms and uploaded Ghost's findings to the team's shared communication channel.

"What's your plan?"

The voice of T'Challa, who was overseeing the entire battlefield, came through.

Unlike his original portrayal, where he fought on the frontlines like a warrior, here, T'Challa had fully embraced his role as king and supreme commander of Wakanda's forces.

He was positioned right behind the frontlines, directing troops with tactical precision.

And this was exactly what he was meant to do.

A good commander was far more important to a war than a single fighter.

Peter responded, "I'm going in. I'll destroy their machines. If we don't shut them down, we have no idea how many more of these creatures they can mass-produce. We'll be worn down to death!"

"I think Peter is right."

It was Captain America's voice, slightly breathless—he had clearly just fought his way through another skirmish.

"This is obviously Thanos' strategy—he's using these mass-produced, disposable monsters to grind down our forces. Then, when we're exhausted, he'll hit us with a final, decisive blow!

We need to destroy them before we lose our ability to fight back."

"Can't we just bomb the area with heavy artillery?" Hawkeye suggested.

"We can try," Falcon responded, "but I doubt it'll work. I just got a closer look—

The defensive energy shielding around those obelisks is insanely strong. I launched a miniature missile, and it didn't even leave a scratch.

I think we'll have to take them down from the inside."

"Leave it to me," Peter said. "Stealth infiltration is my specialty."

"You can't do it alone," Iron Man's voice came through.

"You don't have a way to properly destroy those machines, do you?"

Peter smirked. "No—I do."

Retracting his Vibranium Spider Legs, he began striding toward the barrier.
