Chapter 208: Infinite War (Continue)

After slaying Solus, Peter searched underground and found Kahn, blasting him to death in one strike.

With his growing mastery over his current power, Kahn stood no chance against Peter.

While dealing with these matters, Peter also kept an eye on the movements within the Great Web.

He knew that the Weaver Master would never accept being "disconnected" so easily.

And now, as he dealt with Solus and Kahn, the Weaver Master had finally managed to reconnect the "network" after a great struggle!

However, Peter had already prepared for this.

Just as the Weaver Master reconnected to the threads of the Great Web, a surge of magical energy burst from those very threads, striking the Weaver Master from all directions.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

The Weaver Master was engulfed in an endless flood of magic.

The scene froze at this moment.

Peter placed a hand on his chest. "I've done everything I needed to do. Now it's time to leave. Thank you."

Whoosh—

A brilliant light shot out from Peter's body, floating before him.

Then, the light split into two parts—one was an extremely tiny fragment that entered Peter's body, while the larger portion soared into the distance.

It would return to Captain Universe Spider-Man, allowing him to continue protecting this universe.

Peter was pleasantly surprised.

This tiny speck of light was actually a "pager."

With it, Peter could summon the power of Captain Universe!

Across other universes!

The power of Captain Universe was a mysterious force that existed throughout the cosmos, theoretically present in every universe.

Unfortunately, this pager contained only a small amount of that power—likely enough for just one use.

Still, that was more than enough.

At the very least, with this, he had a chance to wield the power of Captain Universe.

With this power, he could accomplish many things.

If everything went smoothly, he might even manage to retain this power permanently in a certain world.

That would elevate his strength to the absolute peak of a single universe!

And given his ability to open doors to the multiverse at will, possessing it in one world would be no different from having it across all universes.

If he couldn't win a fight, he could simply retreat and return later. If anyone dared to chase him across dimensions, well... they'd be in for a beating!

Ahem.

Perhaps that sounded a bit too barbaric.

But it was the truth.

As for which world he would use this power in—Peter had already made his decision the moment he obtained it.

Beyond the atmosphere of a blue planet...

A massive interstellar warship, the size of an asteroid, remained motionless in the cold darkness of space.

Its enormous form completely blocked the sunlight, plunging Earth—despite being in daylight—into darkness.

It hovered so close to the planet, yet it seemed unaffected by the rigid-body Roche limit, as if Earth's gravity had no hold on it at all.

That was because this ship belonged to the cosmic overlord, Thanos.

The Floating Throne!

At that moment, numerous hatches on the Floating Throne opened, releasing wave after wave of Leviathan-class warships—the monstrous bio-ships of the Chitauri.

This is a bizarre bio-mechanical weapon, a creature that exists somewhere between biology and machinery. It somewhat resembles a flying whale, yet also looks like a worm.

Each of them is hundreds of meters long and can carry thousands of Chitauri soldiers along with their weapons.

The massive Chitauri cannon mounted on its front jaw possesses immense power, giving it a formidable ability to dive and strike enemy positions.

Very soon, Leviathan worm-like motherships filled the skies above Earth.

Following the orders of their ruler, Thanos, the Chitauri soldiers would conquer every nation across the world, using it as leverage to force those people to hand over the last Time Stone and Mind Stone!

Along with their arrival, numerous landing pods also descended, trailing long streaks of fire as they tore through Earth's atmosphere, hurtling toward the ground at high speed.

Additional landing pods accompanied the Leviathan battleships, ripping through the planet's atmosphere with fiery tails streaking behind them, plunging toward the battlefield.

At this moment, the war escalated, entering an entirely new phase!

"Damn it! Why are these guys so damn persistent? Were they raised on dog shit?" Iron Man cursed angrily. During the battle just now, two of his Iron Legion drones—each worth a staggering fifty million dollars—had been accidentally destroyed.

It wasn't the money that bothered him; wealth meant nothing to him.

What frustrated him was the predicament at hand.

That feeling of trying so hard yet making little progress was what truly aggravated Iron Man.

As he fought, he kept searching, trying to find a breakthrough.

However, his opponent was none other than Thanos—the dark overlord, the cosmic tyrant who had ravaged the universe for years and annihilated countless civilizations.

Thanos had an extensive history of destroying worlds.

It was only because Earth had so many superheroes and because he needed to acquire two Infinity Stones that Thanos was holding back—just a little.

But at this rate, Earth's defeat was inevitable.

Unless Thanos himself exposed a weakness.

Or unless an immensely powerful force joined the battle on Earth's side to change the tide!

"Peter, I hope you return safely," Black Panther made the Wakandan prayer gesture in front of his chest before donning his armor and leaping into battle without hesitation.

The war had been raging for a long time, and Wakanda's forces had suffered heavy losses.

As king, he could not just stand by any longer.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

In one part of the battlefield, Doctor Strange performed a slow-motion gesture with both hands, flinging magical grenades into the swarming dark minions below. Immediately, the ground trembled violently.

The explosive magical energy obliterated dozens of dark minions.

In terms of sheer destructive power, it was no less devastating than a missile.

Yet, compared to the overwhelming enemy numbers, it was just a drop in the ocean.

Elsewhere, Wanda, Vision, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Holland Spider, and other superheroes were all fighting desperately across the battlefield.

Just then, a massive portal appeared at the center of the battlefield, drawing everyone's attention.

A lone figure stepped out from the portal.

Then a second.

A third.

A fourth.

Countless figures emerged from the portal, one after another.

After appearing, these figures swiftly moved past the first silhouette and rushed into the battle.

With their arrival, the battlefield, which had been on the verge of collapse, was instantly turned around.

The battlefield was now filled with figures leaping back and forth.

There were men and women, young and old—some weren't even human but animals, machines, and more.

Yet, regardless of their appearance, gender, or species, they all shared one unmistakable trait.

Spiders!

Doctor Strange glanced down, then looked up in shock at the first figure who had stepped through the portal.

At that moment, Peter smiled and waved.

"Strange, I'm back. Long time no see."
