CHAPTER NINE
Isabella's POV
"It's not safe to visit the man in his house. We might not make it out alive." Sienna said to me in a shaky voice. "You can simply ask him to come to the coffee shop and you will have some time to talk to him."
"He said his brother is going to be around this morning and he wants to fulfil his part of the deal that they had together. I don't know why but I feel like there's no problem with going to see him." I replied and rested my back on the walls.
"I am not holding you back, Isabella. I am just trying to make sure that we are safe. There will be no one to save us out of this mess if we get into it." She said, and it sounded like a threatening warning.
"Come with me? Stay back? Have some fun with the mysterious guy? He's been nice all through. I'm not sure if he's going to change his mind when I come visiting. Afterall, I can hear some sounds in his house. It seems like his brother is back already." I replied and looked through the window. It seemed like two people were excitedly playing with themselves.
"It's your choice to make, Isabella. I'm following whatever decision you choose." She said, and soon enough, we were on our way to visit the guys. I was very nervous but she kept comforting me and claiming that it will be well. As a new friend.
"This is risky. The house is too large." Sienna said and laughed out loud. "A whole family will be running around this whole building and not get to the destination in minutes."
"Enough of that. We haven't met his brother and we don't know if he's got tempers. We need to play safe." I said and she nodded her head in agreement.
"Kinda seems like you've got a new roommate. My house is a little bit far from here and boredom was about to take my life when I decided to come out to have some fun."
"And the meeting?"
"I have called them yesterday night when you were sound asleep. I apologized to them and told them I had to see someone important to me." She said and I grinned. That was how important I was to my father before his merciful eyes were gouged out.
I knocked on the large wooden door and Sienna stood behind me. She wore a red shirt and black trousers. Funnily enough, I wore a black shirt and red trousers with black stripes. The door was opened and I met the face of Noah. He wasn't wearing his usual clothes that hid most parts of his face and I knew his brother must have had an impact on him.
"Shall we come in?" I recalled that he was polite to ask if he could come in when he visited me. I could do the same thing now.
"Sure. Does your friend want to come in as well?" He asked, and Sienna turned her back to us. She didn't want to respond to him and I felt like his words sounded dismissive to her.
"Yes." I nudged Sienna to come in with me. She hesitantly agreed and we entered the large building. It wasn't what I thought of, earlier, and even Sienna was taken aback by the beautiful gardens surrounding this place, the shrubs and all and the internal decorations, though looked old, were still enough to call the house a nice one.
"I have locked him in. He is such a troublesome person. Come with me, Isabella." Noah said and walked me into the living room. Sienna hesitantly followed us and we got to sit on one of the rare plastic chairs. There were several foods on the table and how he mixed the meal made me understand that he did this only for me and he wasn't someone who cherished food.
"Where is the brother?" Sienna turned to ask me.
"He went out for a morning jog and he will be back. And by then, I will truly lock him in, oh maybe after he sees me together with Isabelle, he will be contented." He said. We were both shocked to see him compose a long paragraph.
The door was pushed open and Sienna turned around to look at the approaching person. He looked so cute and goodness, I would be breaking Noah's heart by running to meet his brother to pull him into a warm hug. Why were they so cute?
"Welcome to the home of Noah. My name is Isaac and according to the little information that I've found out, I think you must be Isabella." He said and lowered his head slightly. "Once again, my name is Isaac. You must be the girl that Noah is referring to. Or is it the red haired lady?"
"Not at all." Sienna replied to him and felt so anxious that she nudged me and informed me about her need to leave right now.
"Are you going so soon? I'm sorry for referring to your hair in such way. Please stay with us for a little while." Isaac said to Sienna who turned around, let out a deep breath, and continued to leave. I wondered why she would leave me in the midst of two grown men. My heart thumped faster but the nice looks on their faces made me feel relaxed.
"Let me nor ruin your time with your lovely friend, Noah. I will need to have another jog outside." Isaac said to him and Noah quickly agreed. Before Issac left, he requested for a handshake and I welcomed him. I felt the same spark of electricity when he did that. But, once again, I decided not to talk about it.
"He's happy to meet you, and so I am." Noah started to say when Felix left. He encouraged me to eat up, but I showed my disinterest to eat the food of an unknown person.
"You will love to see that. It will ease the stress of having to speak with my troublesome brother and experience the drama between him and your friend." He said and pulled his hands into his locker, bringing out a cardboard. Rolled, he flung it at me and I swiftly collected it.
I opened it and suppressed a scream when I saw how beautifully he'd drawn me. He was such a a great artist and it did really make me feel better. It made me feel at home. No one has ever given me a cardboard, claiming that I was drawn. For some minutes, I felt like doing everything he asked for, but I kept my emotions in check.
"You love it?" He raised a brow and asked, resting on the chair.
"Yes. I love it so much." I said and hugged the cardboard. "You didn't tell me that you were an artist."
"We didn't have the time to get there. You were in a hurry to leave." He said and then I recalled that I was the one who wanted to stay away since I was feeling anxious about his responses to my words.
"Thank you so much." I said and rolled it back, aiming to take it back home. The tone of my voice changed. "So, what am I here for?"
"You're here to know more about me. And by that, I mean the things you will never have guessed right." He said with a deeper voice this time around.
