Chapter 15 : Rescued And Found

Ragna woke up to a a loud sound and a raging belly which demanded food. He was hungry and felt his body aching even after god's knows how many hours of sleep, more like unconsciousness, but he did feel good once he was all rested up.

Now the only thing he needed to do was to figure out where he was exactly?

Looking around he found himself inside a small room, his head was bandaged and felt like it gonna exploded anytime soon.

"Finally awake are we ?" Came a sound making him flinch, instinctively wanting to go for his sword but it wasn't on his side.

"Easy there swordsman, you are still healing, don't worry I have put your sword there." Said the man as he pointed at the corner where he found his sword, Sandai Kitetsu, lying peacefully.

Seeing that his sword was there and the person wasn't hostile to him he sighed in relief and finally turned to the person only to see that he was an old man.

'Great, another old man…' He muttered to himself, internally rolling his eyes.

"What did you say ?"

"Nothing, nothing. I'm Ragna by the way, who are you ?"

"I'm Hocker, I live here, you are currently in the Orange Town young man." Said the now-named Hocker.

He was an old man with a white beard and wore a pink shirt and cap. Overall he looked like any other normal grandpa.

"How did I come here ?" The last thing Ragna knew was that he saw the Flag which the other old man whose boat he stole… Cough COUGH… mean he purchased with a fair price, told him about.

A Jolly Roger with a big red nose.

"I found you beneath the hill, you were bleeding from the head, must have fallen from up there. I'm even surprised you are even alive by how big of a fall that was, let alone woke up just under 2 days of that." Said the man, making Ragna slowly process what the man said and when he did, especially the last part, he all but jumped out of the bed.

'My ship…, it's been two days already. Shit,' he wanted to take his sword and go hunt for his ship again but the old man stopped him.

"Stop, stop, you are in no condition to be moving around right now." Said the man as he brought some food for Ragna.

*Growl… and that was the same time when his stomach let his dissatisfaction known to others.

"Hmm Okay…" Blushing a little, Ragna sat down again, devouring the food in front of him, though he was eating it for free, he planned to pay for this food.

Unfortunately, the man did take the money.

"Don't worry about it young man, just rest up until you are completely healed." Said and man as he walked out.

'So this world got good people as well. Huh ?' He joked, of course he knew that this world has plenty of good people but just the setting of this world didn't let him believe that someone would be good to others without any reason.

He was right, there are not many good people who would show genuine care for someone else, especially a stranger and help them.

Fortunately, this time he found just a person like that here.

Ragna stayed there for another day at best, by then he was almost healed, the only injury of his which hadn't healed completely was his head but it was coming along really nicely.

"Thank you, Hocker, for everything you did for me," Ragna said the next morning.

*Bark…

"Don't mention it, I'm just glad that you have healed well. I'm amazed how fast you did, it's only been three days and you are as good as new…." Laugh Hocker.

"Wuff…"

"Your Dog ?" Ragna noticed that today Hocker had an extra tagging alone with him. It was a dog, an completely white fur dumb but cute looking dog.

"Yes, its name is Chouchou, he's my partner, a very smart dog who helps me in my work." By his tone, it was clear that Hocker really liked his dog.

Though to Ragna the dog didn't look all that smart.

"Chouchou, that's a good name." Ragna gave a smile to the dog, to which the dog only remained motionless with his tongue half out, constantly looking at Ragna.

'I wonder whether he is thinking that I'm gonna hurt Hocker and keeping an eye on me…' Ragna mused.

"Are you sure that you won't want anything in return, it feels strange owing you like that," Ragna asked, he didn't want to owe anyone favours if he could help it. He's the kind of a man who pays his depth.

He was strict in his regards, a personal principal of a sort.

"Nah, don't worry about it, I didn't help you for a reward. I'm just happy to help that all." Hocker waved off his concerns.

"Hmm…" Ragna can't help it turn to the half-broken building he stayed in for the last 3 days.

"You wanna build a pet store here right, I can help you with that, you are lacking funds right. Just help me in that…" Ragna trailed off, he himself wasn't that wealthy or anything but he had money to the point that he could help the old man.

Hocker was a big-time talker, and Ragan too who didn't have much to do listened to all of his stories all night while he was recovering.

Among those stories, Hocker told him that he wanted to open a Pet Store. That is how he knew about it.

"No need, I'll make the pet store myself. I really am not looking for money." The man replied again, not accepting any help. Sigh…

Fine.

"By the way, it's time for me to move on Hocker, I'm all healed and now." Ragna finally said to which Hocker showed his concern.

"You are not completely healed yet, why not stay here and wait until…" Hocker was saying but Ragna stopped him mid-sentence.

"Sorry, but I really can't stay for long. I'm mostly healed anyways."

Ragna said and took his sword from the corner and got ready to exit the place. The only thing running through his mind was to get his ship back or find info about these Red Nose Pirates.

And just then his mind clicks and he turns to Hocker.

"By the way, what do you know about Red Nose Pirates."

"What do you think about the catch, wasn't she a beauty." a man boosted as he talked about his recent catch.

"Tsk, quite already, what so great about getting a ship like that. I can get catch even a bigger ship." The second man said with dissatisfaction.

"Hahah, you are just jealous…" laughed the first man.

"Whatever, don't listen to his grumbling, tell us already how you got a ship like that ?" the third man said, encouraging the first man to tell the story.

"haha.. it was a simple catch, some idiot dock in the island I was in, all along with no one to look over it. Hahahahaha…"

Laugh the man and others laugh at with him.

But just as the laughter was getting louder, other sounds also started to ring alongside the laughter.

Sound of fighting.

"OI, what's going on outside." One of them asked, all three of them were drunken and didn't want to go out and check out, however, when the sound increased to the point that they couldn't take it anymore more.

One of them finally stood up to check it out. However, just as he was about to open the door, the door blasted open right on his face. Throwing him back.

"So, it's you bastards who stole my ship." A menacing voice came as a black hair youth with a bloodied sword entered.

Behind him was blood and fallen bodies as he craved his way to them.

"You you… who are you." The other two shuttered.

"The same idiot who you were just talking about…" Ragna smiled, he had a pleasant smile on his face but in reality, that looked dangerous in this setting when he was partially covered in blood.

"Don…don't come closer, do you know who you are messing with. Boss Buggy is a pirate with a bounty of 15 million beli. You will regret doing anything to us, we are boss Buggies right man man…" The man shuttered as he tried to back off while still crawling out the ground.

He looked at the man in front of him with horror in his eyes and unconsciously said anything that came to his mind to survive.

"Buggy huh…" Ragna heard the name and paused.

"Red Nose Buddy is a dangerous pirate, he came here a few years ago and controls this place. He destroyed and looted this place. Everyone is afraid of him. Before him coming here Orange Town used to be a happy place, but ever since he came, we all have to live in fear…" That's what Hocker said about Buggy the Clown.

After leaving Hocker's place started to roam around Organg town to gather more information about Red Nose Pirates

Ragna actually was looking for this buggy to get compensation if it was his people who stole his ship and even if that wasn't the case, he planned to get his bounty to make up for his loss.

However, while roaming the place he unknowingly came to the dock, only to be surprised to see his ship standing there.

It turn out that he missed his ship becuase of how fast he was paddling, he was only a little slower and took his time when maybe both the ship and he himself came to the town together.

Sigh.

Of course, after making sure that the ship was found, he went on a rampage.

Ship or no ship, those who dare to steal from him, they will be cut.

"Good… I will let you go. But in one condition. Tell me where I can find this BUGGY THE CLOWN…"
