No Good Golem

Susanna was the bigger woman, the better warrior, with the sharper Golem! Why, by the Gods, was she the one being sent back!? The bear Golem ran with her, staring at her with a blank, but detailed face. Blankness had no right to judge her. Jerome was there just before the bonfire always a distance away from the celebration itself. He turned and smiled but his smile soon faded.

She pointed back and to the white dot in the distance. He stiffened.

She didn't say anything. He nodded and waved her to the crowd.

"I'll keep an eye, go get others." But Susan was already kicking up dust and sand.
