Avon couldn't contain his excitement anymore.
He jumped and pranced round the yard with maximum enthusiasm, after all his life long dream wasn't too much of a distance away any more.
He quickly got up and climbed up the stairs. But his excitement melted as he turned to see huge mess he still had to clean up.
The clean up left to be completed immediately dampened his spirit.
He heaved a sigh of reluctance went into his house in ruin to complete the cleanup.
"There have got to be a faster way to finish all this?", Avon said as he bent low to pick up the broom he has left on the floor.
"Of course, magic!", Avon exclaimed in a slightly higher tone as it dawned on him, he has powers now. He could just use his magic to levitate the pieces of wood and bricks and place everything in order or even craft the entire building from scratch. There were so many possibilities to explore with his new powers, but first he needed to even know how to use magic.
He began to practice. He first raised his arm towards a piece of broken wood a little bit in ahead of him. He exerted his mental focus on the object trying to bend it position to his will, but nothing happened.
"Why isn't this working?, I could have sworn that this is how Kareal does it" he said with a wave of frustration in his voice.
He then took a look at his status oncemore and noticed there where no points on magic to even try to make an advance.
"No wonder but how can I boost my magic points?",
[That is attainable by acquiring stat points and assigning it to their respective abilities. Stat points can be obtained by completing the daily tasks given.]
A notification popped.
Task 1 - Run 20km
Reward - 10 sp
"10sp that seems enough but running that far will take too long. Are there any other alternative to obtaining stat points?", he said unwilling to spend that much time and energy.
He remembered Kareal's usually pre and post-exercise after he had completed his chores using his magic.
He would usually sit by the corner of the dogo and cultivate in a weird position.
[Cultivation. It is a simple technique performed to attain instant energy and mana.]
Yes, that could work. I see Kareal cultivating all the time how hard could it be?, Avon spoke with eagerness flowing out.
He took the cultivating position Kareal usually took, closed his eyes and began breathing deeply expecting to work on the first try.
The posture was quite uncormfortable. He tried to replicate his master's posture but it was too difficult for him. He decided to take a basic one-legged squat.
He continued his position for some minutes but he was no different from before. He then peeped, opening one of his eyes to observe any physical change in himself.
"Why is this blazer thing so difficult? It is really getting on my nerves.", frustration lingering at the edge of his tongue.
[For newly ascended it is a bit difficult because your mana core is still forming and it requires more focus than what your giving.]
"Okay, let me go again."
Avon took the cultivation position again and took a deep breath. He sensed the energy in air, the mana flowing everywhere around him. He focused and tryed absorbing the mana as he took lighter and more focused breaths.
He continued for some time.

The notifications kept on rolling in for the next few minutes.
He stopped and took a look at his status again.

He could now perform basic magic spells
"Now how do I levetate stuff?", Avon enquired.
He atleast had a clue of what to do from observing Kareal using his cheat code in chores but he needed a visual guide to practicing magic.
He remembered seeing pictures in the Arkanem and some other inscriptions before.
He pulled it out and flipped through its pages. He travelled slowly through each page and scanned for any visual aids to practicing magic, hopefully with some instructions as well.
As the flipped he saw some. Most of them looked really difficult to pull off and had high mana and magic requirement.
He looked for anyone that didn't use up too much Mp. He flipped for some time before finding a minor levetating spell.
He decided to test it on something first.
He picked up a rock and placed in front of him.
He followed the instruction written by the Arkanem.
>First strech your arm towards the object you wish to levetate. Then try to manipulate the energy round the object using the one you already have. Lastly move your arm in correspondence to where you want the object to move.
"That doesn't seem to difficult", he said as he streched his arm towards the rock.
Avon closed his eyes as he placed his attention on the mana moving round the rock and willed control over it using hisind and arms.
He slowly raised his arm up to manipulate the rocks movement.
At first it didn't work for some time. He applied more will power and it begin vibrating at a fixed position before being lifted.
Avon gave a little peek to see it the rock has moved.
"Wow! I actually did it."
Despite being a green horn, he was a natural.
He finally willed the rock back to himself as he caught it with the same arm.
He opened his arms and looked at his object and said, "Magic", he spoke in a tone of satisfaction and confidence.
