The day started to change, the window opened letting sunlight into Kai's room. "Light?" Kai squinted, then slowly opened his eyes and got up from his sleep.

"Turns out running away from that room wasn't a dream," Kai lowered his body, looking at his open palm, showing he still couldn't believe what he had just experienced.

A knock on the door was heard, Kai, still lost in his thoughts, was a bit startled by the knock. He grabbed the robe he was wearing to cover his red eyes, then stood up from his bed to open the door, revealing a brown-haired girl standing in the doorway, a gentle smile etched on her face. She was holding a small tray with warm water and a towel. From her posture, she looked like a 10-year-old child.

"Good morning," the girl greeted, her voice soft. "My name is Lilie. Miss Seraphina told me about you and asked me to help you." Lilie stepped in, placing the tray on the table deftly.

Kai was taken aback hearing that from Lilie, he wanted to speak, but for some reason his voice couldn't come out right now. On the other hand, after placing the tray with water, she turned around and looked at Kai.

"Nona Seraphina said your baby tooth just fell out, right? I get it, a few days ago my baby tooth fell out too. It feels like I don't want to talk all day. Just opening my mouth hurts." Lilie raised her hand, pointing to her cheek with her index finger, as if illustrating the pain she was feeling.

Kai felt relieved. Seraphina didn't say anything about him being a vampire. From any angle, Lilie still looked like a kid. Just this explanation might make her understand right away; if Kai opened his mouth, his fangs would be clearly visible.

"I brought you warm water, wash your face with this, okay?" Lilie pointed to the tray on the table, then took a step back, watching Kai while waiting for a response.

Kai just nodded, Lilie smiled, "Alright, then I'll take my leave." She bowed politely and then left Kai's room.

Kai opened his cloak again, taking a moment to breathe. He grabbed a towel, dipped it in the warm water on the tray, then wiped his face with the towel and looked in the mirror.

"This is the second time I've looked into these eyes since that incident," he murmured, his fingers touching the mirror as if he wanted to touch his own reflection. He took another breath, "I should calm my mind." He walked out of his room, down the stairs.

In the lower floor, Seraphina is seen standing in front of the reception desk, she sees Kai who is on the upper floor and greets him, "Kai, good morning." Kai just waves his hand in response, as he can't really speak right now, and he rushes down to meet Seraphina.

Seraphina steps closer, her gaze attentive, "Good morning, how did you sleep? How's the outfit? I didn't know what size would fit you, I just told them to prepare clothes for a 16-year-old guy so....." Seraphina looks at Kai with a curious expression.

Kai nods slightly, trying to smile, "Pretty comfortable, the room is warm. And, thanks for the clothes. They're really comfy to wear." He looks into Seraphina's eyes, showing his gratitude.

Seraphina looked at Kai with an expression that was hard to read. Her eyebrows were slightly raised, showing a bit of concern. "Kai, the Commander wants to see you." She noticed Kai's hesitant expression, her fingers playing with the ends of her hair. "Don't worry," she said reassuringly, briefly placing her hand on Kai's arm, "I'm the one responsible for bringing you here, so I'll take care of you."

Kai nodded slowly, his eyes still showing doubt. "Alright, I'll meet him. Ever since you brought me here, I kind of figured this would happen." He sighed, trying to calm himself.

Seraphina gave a slight smile, "Ahaha, sorry about that. Okay, follow me!" She turned and started walking, her steps quick and steady. They exited the inn and Kai followed Seraphina from behind, glancing left and right to take in the atmosphere of Narnia.

Not long after walking, they had arrived at the Hunter headquarters in Narnia city, Seraphina opened the door using a code, and entered the door. Afterwards, They walked through a dark and silent corridor. Only the sound of their footsteps could be heard. The tense atmosphere felt tense. Occasionally, Seraphina glanced back, making sure Kai was still following her. The silence was even more tense.

Finally, they arrived at a large room, the heavy iron door opened slightly, revealing the figure of Commander Glaen sitting on a large chair, his face serious. However, Kai was even more surprised by Seraphina's change in attitude. As he stood in the doorway, his elegance and gentleness vanished. He stood upright, his posture changed to stern and authoritative, his gaze sharp and commanding. It was no longer the gentle Seraphina that brought his here.

"Commander," Seraphina said in a voice lower and deeper than usual, sounding authoritative and a bit cold. "I've brought him as you ordered." She let Kai stand behind her, as if putting him in a lower position.

Kai was taken aback. Seraphina's change in attitude surprised him. He didn't expect the shift to be so drastic. It felt like he had been pulled into a bigger and more dangerous game than he had imagined. He glanced at Seraphina, trying to understand what was happening, but her face remained flat and her expression hard to read.

Glaen stood up from his chair, his steps calm but full of threats. He approached Kai, his shadow enveloping Kai, creating a tense atmosphere. With quick and precise movements, he opened the hood of Kai's robe, his fingers touching Kai's cheeks with a cold touch. Glaen's gaze fell on Kai's red eyes, "These red eyes...!" his voice was whispering, yet full of meaning. Kai felt a chill that pierced his spine.

Before Kai had time to react, Glaen was already gripping his jaw tightly, his fingers pressing hard. Kai's mouth opened forcefully, revealing a row of sharp fangs. "Fang, huh... There is no mistake." Kai was shocked and helpless, he tried to fight back, but Glaen's grip was too strong. His eyeballs narrowed, in shock and fear. He felt a stabbing pain in his jaw, but more than that, he felt an overwhelming sense of fear.

Glaen let go of Kai's jaw, and after breaking free from Glaen's grip, Kai coughed because his breathing was unstable before. Glaen kept watching Kai suspiciously. He turned to Seraphina, raising an eyebrow slightly, showing doubt.

"Seraphina," his voice sounded a bit suspicious, "when was the last time he drank blood?" he asked. Seraphina stood straight, her gaze fixed ahead, showing a professional and calm demeanor. "According to the commander's report," she said in a calm and flat voice, "yesterday. It was animal blood." She showed no emotion at all.

"Hoo..." Glaen chuckled, "Can you still get along with this?" she reached into her pocket and pulled out a small knife from her pocket. He also injured his own hand with the knife, causing his blood to drip to the floor.

His gaze was fixed on Glaen, the tall and sturdy figure standing before him, a dim light hitting his calm but threatening face. Kai's eyes widened, his body's uncontrollable reflexes. Saliva hung at the corners of his lips, dripping slowly onto the dusty ground. A strange sensation crept through his jaw; His sharp fangs felt elongated, pushing out of his trembling lips. Before common sense was able to control it, its body moved on its own, driven by an irresistible savage instinct. The first attack was launched, a wild and unstrategic attack.

"That's all you can hold onto, huh?" Glaen's voice rang out in the distance, like the whisper of the night wind echoing in the silent valley. Kai felt the cold touch of the Glaen sword hit his wrist, a sharp vibration spreading to the marrow bone. His body jerked, his consciousness began to float like dust blown by the wind.

He tried to resist, resisting the wave of wild impulses that overwhelmed his body, trying to control movements that felt alien and uncontrollable. "Damn!" Swear was held in his throat, his voice hoarse and hoarse. Lust blinded his vision, making him return to attack, but Glaen easily parried his every attack, his movements so agile and precise. Glaen's sword danced in the air, creating a dazzling flash of light.

"Oi, Seraphina. It seems that your report this time is not true," Glaen said, his voice sounding faint, like the voice of a dream that was about to disappear. Kai's consciousness grew further and further away, the world around him began to fade.

Glaen's attacks were getting faster, but each of his attacks felt like cotton punches. Kai could still feel it, but it felt like he was just a spectator in his own body. He tried to parry, attack, but the movements felt slow, uncontrollable.

Kai's vision started to blur, like the world was wrapped in thick fog. The only thing still clear was Glaen's mocking smile. Darkness threatened, slowly swallowing his consciousness. With the last bit of strength he had, Kai did something irrational, something stupid, but maybe the only way to survive. He bit his own hand as hard as he could. For a moment, he felt like this could bring back his awareness.

Kai stared at Glaen, panting. Glaen chuckled, a satisfied grin spreading across his face. With a swift motion, he sheathed his sword at his waist. His steps were calm and measured as he approached Kai.

"An interesting reaction," Glaen said, his voice low and resonant. "I didn't expect you to bite yourself to hold your consciousness." He stopped a few steps away from Kai, observing every small movement of Kai's body.

Kai groaned, his tongue sticking out, cleaning the dried blood at the corners of his lips. His hands clenched, the veins in his arms tightened. "I'm also a little surprised," Kai hissed, his voice hoarse. "I didn't expect you to hurt yourself to lure me." He tried to get up, but his body still felt heavy, his legs were shaking.

Glaen reached into the pocket of his coat, his fingers touching something cold and slippery inside. He took out a small bottle, filled with a deep red liquid, and held it out to Kai. "This."

Kai was still seated, his breath was short, his gaze was blank. He just stared at the bottle without reaction. Glaen frowned, then said in a slightly dismissive tone, "Don't worry, it's chicken blood. From Seraphina's report, all this time you have calmed your lust with animal blood. Well, at least it's better than rat blood, right?" Glaen grinned, her smile full of mockery. He raised one side of his eyebrows.

With trembling hands, Kai took the bottle from Glaen. He carefully opened the bottle cap and slowly drank its contents. As the red liquid flowed down his throat, his previously wild gaze began to calm. His fangs, which had been prominent, slowly receded into his mouth.

"So, how about we continue the discussion we left hanging?" Glaen asked, crossing his arms over his chest, his gaze sharp and confident.
