"Hey, Ki-beom-ah. Lemme borrow your homework! I'll change things up, I swear!"
.
Ki-beom obliged without saying anything as Yeongyeong sent him a lovely grin.
.
Ki-beom seemed to think for a while before he opened his mouth, "Are you going to skip math again?"
.
"Of course," Yeongyeong is busy copying the homework, modifying things here and there.
.
"Can you not do it today?"
.
Yeon-gyeong instantly stopped all her actions, worry in her eyes, "What happened? Is there something going on with you?"
.
In this sentence, I changed Yeon-gyeong's whole demeanor, her eyes darkened but her voice softer.
.
"It's nothing, I'm just worried that you wouldn't be able to catch up."
.
Ki-beom's eyes behind his glasses shifted slightly to show some concern.
.
This kid is a pretty good child actor.
.
"Hey, you don't even have to worry about me."
.
Yeon-gyeong gave him that cheeky grin of hers.
.
Ki-beom smiled as well, a bit of something in his eyes.
.
In the script, it is strongly implied that Ki-beom had a crush on Yeon-gyeong. Nothing really happened in the end since they are just kids. It's just some sort of cherry on top for their story.
.
For his age he is a pretty good actor, he digests these emotions well. He must be pretty well PR trained as well. Considering all those aspects he is a model actor.
.
As for me, well...I'm good at pretending to be stupid.
.
"Cut!"
.
"Let's take some close-ups!"
.
We repeated the gestures that we did earlier. Sometimes it might be difficult to get everything even though there are multiple cameras set. There might be some more takes of the same scene but from different angles.
.
We took some more scenes that happened in the same settings.
.
"Thank you everyone! Let's take a short break for 5 minutes!"
.
The kid who played Ki-beom, I really should figure out his name, took his glasses off. He slipped out of character pretty quickly.
.
Now that I took a proper look at him, he reminds me of politician Han Seung-tae. They both have a similar face shape and their eyes look very similar when they are expressionless.
.
...
...
...
.
I went to talk with Soohyeon during the break.
.
"Hana! This is so exciting!"
.
"Isn't it?"
.
"It's crazy to think that I will appear on TV!"
.
"If you can get a talking role, you can get the whole for yourself!"
.
"Oh my, is that possible?"
.
"I'll recommend you if we need an extra that fits your criteria."
.
Me and Soo-hyeon spent most of the time talking while I felt someone staring at us.
.
It's that kid isn't it? I took a discreet peek and sure enough it is him.
.
"Actors Kim Ha-na and Song Tae-hyeon please be on standby!"
.
"Other extras please leave the classroom first!"
.
Ahh, so he's called Tae-hyeon.
.
"Get the lights on...Cameras rolling, sound as well..."
.
"Action!"
.
This scene happened quite some episodes after the scene earlier. Efficiency is key in filming.
.
This time, they faked a sunset via lighting. The slightly orange-ish lights is passing through the blinds. They might tweak it more in post production to make it seem more like it.
.
Ki-beom is laying down on his table, his gaze faraway, tears dropping down to the table.
.
Suddenly the class door opened with a bang.
.
It is Yeon-gyeong. She looks half mad, half distressed.
.
"Ki-beom-ah, why didn't you tell me?"
.
Yeon-gyeong found out that Ki-beom had been bullied.
.
Both of them were silent for a while.
.
"Ki-beom, why-"
.
"Yeon-gyeong-ah, why did they choose to do that to me?"
.
It's an ad-lib, he is supposed to stay quiet and then Yeon-gyeong will comfort him.
.
I guess he wants to give me a surprise or something.
.
I walked towards our desk, the anger in my eyebrows dimmed.
.
Yeon-gyeong patted his back.
.
"Why would you need to care about their thoughts?! Don't even bother thinking about them. You should just focus on studying. I'll deal with them."
.
Yeon-gyeong's eyes glowed with confidence and a little vengeance.
.
I could see a trace of annoyance in Taehyeon's eyes, fortunately for him no one is taking his close-ups.
.
I looked at him as Yeongyeong still, my lips curled into a warm smile.
.
Tae-hyeon looked at me, trying to keep up his act, but he kept failing.
.
He looked like he swallowed a kilogram of sweet potatoes and now they are stuck in his throat.
.
"NG!"
.
"Let's give that another try Tae-hyeon-ssi!"
.
This time he managed to keep his composure.
.
"Cut! Both of you did great with the ad-lib but we'll record the one in the script just in case."
.
We recorded a few more scenes around the school including my fight scene with the bullies. It was done in a comedic and dramatic way. It was satisfying though.
.
Most of the action is done by the stunt team, but I still get to do some parts. It felt really good to work on something action related after a while.
.
Song Tae-hyeon kept trying to catch me off guard with his ad-libs. Of course nothing really happened. He is a good child actor but he isn't someone who has done something for 12 years.
.
.
Isn't it odd that no one scolded him?
.
.
...
...
...
.
The day ended, it'll probably be a while until my next shoot.
.
That night I tried to look more into the in production team of 'Spring Breeze'.
.
I browsed around and looked into who was behind who.
.
It took a long time before I gathered all the necessary information since it was scattered around.
.
My suspicions were correct.
.
Maybe they went into Spring Breeze predicting that it's going to fail. A slow but steady start is always good for people who has always been high-profile.
.
...
...
...
.
Tonight there is a gathering for the 'Spring Breeze' team. We're planning to watch the first episode together, but I wouldn't be staying for long since I am just a kid right now.
.
The atmosphere was pretty good, I think a lot of people held pretty good expectations for our project.
.
I ate a lot of meat and made some small talk with the seniors as we waited for the first episode to air.
.
He really looked like Han Seung-tae with that expression.
