Chapter 16: Future

.

.

.

What a cute kid.

.

.

I gave Tae-hyeon a slight smile.

.

"If you want me to stop being a 'show-off', you better do something about your acting, Song Tae-hyeon-ssi."

.

.

Song Tae-hyeon moved as if he wanted to retort, but I didn't let him interrupt.

.

"No, is it Han Tae-hyeon-ssi perhaps?"

.

.

Song Tae-hyeon was frozen.

.

.

.

.

"How did you--?"

.

.

"So I was correct?"

.

.

.

I glanced deep into his eyes.

.

.

Wow there is still something in there.

.

.

.

"A word of advice for you, stop talking so much won't you? The walls have ears."

.

.

"I happen to be very busy, so I'll take my leave first."

.

I waved at him as I walked away.

.

...

...

...

.

In the parking lot, I ended the recording.

.

This mini recorder is really convenient, but I think I'm running out of storage.

.

.

...

...

...

.

I've been taking more pictures and videos. I wantes to capture more of the sentimentality of this era. Maybe if I went back, it's possible to still have these records.

.

My mom took on this new interest of mine with relish. She is all for supporting her daughter. She bought me more film when I was running out.

.

Film really gives a different feeling compared to digital cameras. It's so beautiful and nostalgic.

.

...

...

...

The confession scene got decent feedback from the audience and the rating went back to the latter 30s, but it seemed that it wouldn't go higher anymore.

.

I've finished my shoots for most of the last episodes, so I finally had some free time.

.

.

.

I was offered a short interview with a reporter who wrote for the entertainment section for S Newspaper.

.

I planned to reject it since I had no much interest to develop in the entertainment industry. However, all changed when I heard of the reporter's name.

.

.

Reporter Hwang Ji-min

.

.

She is known to be the reporter who exposed a shady but huge entertainment company that made Agency N seemed like a peaceful garden.

.

This issue shocked the whole country.

.

It was talked about for a long time.

.

Right now, she is only a junior reporter, but making a connection with her might help me at some point. In the end, I decided to go for that interview.

.

...

.

We decided to meet in a café.

.

.

It's a neutral ground.

.

Suitable for a rookie reporter and a rookie actress.

.

.

I wore a surgical face mask so that no one would recognize me on the streets.

.

.

.

That sounded much like what a narcissistic celebrity would say.

.

.

.

I just don't want unnecessary problems.

.

That's it.

.

...

...

...

.

Reporter Hwang Ji-min looked like college student. She looked even younger than Jang Hye-jin even though I thought that they were pretty much the same age.

.

"Hello, you must be actress Kim Ha-na. I'm Reporter Hwang Ji-min. Pleased to meet you."

.

She pulled her hand out for a handshake.

.

"Yes, it's a pleasure of mine."

.

We shook hands.

.

"Would you like to order something?"

.

"I think I'll take some warm green tea."

.

Reporter Hwang went and ordered some tea.

.

My order arrived pretty quickly.

.

"Now that it's settled, how about we start the interview?"

.

"Sure, ask away."

.

.

.

.

"Alright, then we'll start with the basic stuff...Actress Kim Ha-na, you have recently participated in Channel K's daily drama 'Spring Breeze', what do you think about the drama so far?"

.

.

I arranged my words for a while.

.

"First of all, 'Spring Breeze' is a work that I cherish and consider to be an important part of my career. I got lots of opportunities to try new things and explore many new aspects about acting."

.

"Furthermore, Yeon-gyeong is simply a friend that I cherish. We got our differences and our similarities, but I think I would be good friends with her if we ever got to meet."

.

.

"You mentioned that you have similarities and differences with Yeon-gyeong, where exactly would you be the same or differ?"

.

"There is actually a lot, Yeon-gyeong doesn't like studying and neither do I, hehe. Yeon-gyeong liked sports and I recently come to like it as well."

.

"For the differences....I'm not as blunt as she is. She liked and hated in a frontal way, but that's not really the case with me. I prefer to be a bit more lowkey."

.

"These differences made playing Yeon-gyeong interesting though, it also helped me see things from other perspectives."

.

.

"That's a beautiful way to view it, is there any particular challenge in playing Yeon-gyeong?"

.

"The challenge in acting as Yeon-gyeong is more on the technical skills. Learning archery is not that easy, but it worked out in the end. I also exercised more often to prepare for the role."

.

"Wow that seemed like a difficult job."

.

"It was difficult in the beginning, but I managed."

.

"Actors are really amazing in that sense, speaking of acting, is there a memorable scene in the drama for you?"

.

"Of course there is, it's the confession scene actually. I think you'll be able to see it soon. It was my own suggestion, which is why it's particularly memorable."

.

" Yeon-gyeong always seemed like the type to confess first doesn't she? So I suggested for it and it was accepted."

.

.

.

She asked me a few more questions about 'Spring Breeze'.

.

.

.

"Last question for today? Where do you see yourself 10 years in the future?"

.

I went silent with thought.

.

"10 years in the future huh?"
