Hades SMUT POV

Aurelia groaned but didn't have the energy to argue. Every muscle in her body ached, and she was fairly certain her limbs would refuse to move by morning.

Hades carried her, his grip firm but careful as he knew how exhausted she was. They left the training field, passing under the crystalline trees that shimmered with the fading light. The cool air was a relief against her sweaty skin.

"You did well," Hades murmured, breaking the silence.

She snorted. "I feel like I got trampled by a herd of beasts."

He glanced at her, "Shifting takes a toll in the beginning. But your body will adapt."

She sighed, tilting her head up to the sky. "I don't know how I'm supposed to do that again tomorrow. Lator is relentless."

Hades chuckled. "That's why Astrae assigned him. He's the best at what he does."

After a while, they reached her pod, the glowing haven they had slept in the night before. She hesitated at the entrance, turning to face him.
