The next morning, Aurelia walked onto the training field, stretching out the lingering soreness from yesterday's brutal shifting drills and her eventful night. Lator was already waiting, standing with his arms crossed, a mischievous smirk tugged at his lips.
She barely greeted him before he let out a chuckle. "You must've been busy last night."
Aurelia frowned. "What?"
Lator tilted his head slightly, his mischievous eyes flicking to her neck. "That."
Confused, she reached up, her fingers brushing against her skin…. only to freeze when she felt the faint ache of a mark.
Oh, no! Hades left a hickey on her neck. And she was sure he did it to prove a point and mark his territory. Aurelia made a mental note to strangle him later.
Heat flooded her cheeks as Lator's smirk widened. "Lord Hades must be a real lover," he mused, amusement evident in his voice.
