Consequences

After mentally reviewing all the items he had received and their purposes one last time, he prepared himself to begin.

Despite his age and vast experience, Yasuo was kind of excited about the role he would be playing from now on.

It appeared to be something unreal that even people in this world only dreamed about in fantasy books, yet here he was about to be someone that even cultivators way stronger than his past self would have to obey his rules.

If even this didn't excite him, he would be lying to himself.

Age is just a number when it comes to things never seen or heard of before, and a system is one of those things! It's the same as Immortality if he had to guess!

"How do I withdraw the items I received?" he asked.

"Any item can be withdrawn by simply thinking about it, like communicating with me. Also, you are required to choose where to place the facilities ."

After a thought, he withdrew the black rock, which appeared hovering just before him, a few meters behind the absolute relic.

At a glance, nothing was magical about it; it was just a casual boulder-sized black rock, but after learning its origins and usage, Yasuo could only look at it with eyes lit up as he placed it in the middle with a thought.

He already planned how to use the black rock. If any guests were not occupied with anything else, he would charge when they use it and cultivate. If everyone else were busy with other facilities or matters, he would be the one using it to cultivate.

It was pointless to occupy the rock solely for him since he wasn't always there anyway, and when he was, he would be pretty much managing the holy land with a bit of free time.

'But that's for the future; let's place the chamber of spirit and time on the east of the rock and be done with this,' Yasuo had already spent thirty minutes or so in here, and he felt that it was time to go back to his room in case the old man visited in the morning.

With a thought, the chamber of spirit and time, which appeared like a small white room from the outside, was placed far east of the rock. Given his absolute authority, he could even check its interiors from here.

Inside the chamber, the space appeared almost infinite. The flat, white floor extended endlessly in all directions, and the horizons were shrouded in a white void. The room could accommodate two people at once, so it had a small living area near the entrance with basic amenities like food and water enough to sustain them for three days.

'Tsk, everything requires holy land points here, isn't it?' Yasuo could see at a glance that replenishing the food and water also required points from him; thankfully, such a requirement wasn't set for the black rock, and he could use it for free since it was received from the newbie gift pack.

With another thought, Yasuo added a twenty-meter-high small mountain and opened a cave abode inside it. Although the cave gave no particular boost to cultivation, he could still charge people if they wished to live in his holy land for some time per day.

Unfortunately, nothing happened when he wanted to cover the holy land with grass, and he assumed that his nature permit had already been revoked.

'Sigh, nothing is free, not even a system service.' Yasuo looked at the absolute relic, and almost instantly, he vanished the next moment, appearing on his bed with a smirk.

Phew!

'Luck is on my side; he hasn't visited yet. If he saw me appearing out of nowhere like this, it wouldn't be surprising if I became a lab rat for this old man.' He thought.

Yasuo was then about to take a shower and such when he decided against it with a frown,' I can't act so carefree. In his eyes, I'm merely a 17-year-old young man who didn't see anything of life; if I'm gonna play with the flow, I'll have to act paranoid and do what anyone my age would have done, which is to wait patiently in this room.'

Somewhere in a forest near New York City, a bit far away in a house built on a mountaintop, an old man sat cross-legged in the middle of a wooden house. Spiritual fluctuations distorted the space around him as he made sure to take it slowly and only absorb what he needed from the chaotic qi around him.

Creak...Creak...

The wooden door creaked open, and a bulky man came through it. Without hesitation, he dropped to one knee on the floor. Despite his fiery temperament, the man remained silent after kneeling on the ground, even bowing his head in submission.

"Speak, what brings you here? Haven't I told you not to disturb my cultivation unless it's an urgent matter?" The old man said coldly; his eyes closed, but the spiritual fluctuations around him were abruptly stopped.

"Father, I...I."

"Speak; you came all the way here anyway; just say what happened." The old man's tone eased as he looked at his fearful son.

"Father..." Brian yelled aloud, furious. "Someone has been bullying my younger brother for three whole years and extorting money from him. But when I saw him as a potential threat after discovering his heavenly talent, the director of Nordo High School stopped me!"

Hearing his son's words, the old man's aura erupted chaotically, his killing intent sweeping across the entire mountain. It was like a wave of chilling wind unleashed from the peak, and any animal or plant caught in its path collapsed on the spot, unconscious, their eyes rolling back.

"Good, very good," the old man uttered, his tone chilling as he slowly stood up. It seems like giving face to the other families and organizations made them forget who's behind the Donkin family; maybe it's time to help them recall that we are still at the top of the food chain!"
