Invitation to War (1)

Vethas clan, inside the frost pavilion.

Three months had passed without leaving a single day from the human library.

Frost Pavilion.

"Five months already…"

Yasuo sat cross-legged, his eyes deep and distant.

Unconsciously, he had already been in this world for five months.

Almost half a day had already passed on the outside world, but he wasn't concerned about that and didn't ask the system about updates on his holy land.

If anything urgent occurred or the kid did anything bad, the system would have informed him and asked him to fix the issue.

During these five months, besides immersing himself in the practice of understanding a couple of martial arts and cultivating the 6th qi condensation realm, thanks to some resources Vethas gave him, he also gained some understanding of this world.

The Vethas clan and Frosthorn clan, although part of the giant empire, were actually in a secluded area far away from any city nor any known inhabitants of the empire's giants.

He once spoke to Vethas about it, and the giant didn't mind answering.

He told him that the empire's strength was way too ridiculous and that if they went there, they wouldn't be any better than the human slaves they enjoyed here. Hence, they refrained from visiting those places.

Funnily enough, the empire turned a blind eye to them, so both sides never interacted with each other.

As for the two clans, Vethas and Frosthorn? Yasuo was told that the two were at odds with each other hundreds of years ago, and the enmity would only be forgotten if one of them perished.

He also learned that one of his missions in the next few days was to become an emissary to the Frosthorn clan and invite them to war on top of the frozen lake.

That was one of his main missions as an emissary slave, so he had long expected it.

'I have learned a couple of martial arts that can more or less get me out of trouble, but...' Yasuo recalled his main mission and slightly frowned,' I have no information about the Frostbone Ashe, and even Balqis doesn't know about it.'

He had more or less expected it to be hard, or else the system wouldn't casually reward him with an upgrade to his facilities.

The only problem was that the giant clans were far too strong for him in his current state. Even if he found the treasure and wanted to fetch it, he wouldn't stand a chance—he couldn't even defeat the weakest among them, let alone their leaders.

Sighing and brushing away those potential problems, he looked at his panel, which he had long since checked—at least, based on his own timeline, since, in reality, he had only not checked it for several days.

Yasuo checked his Mystical abilities and couldn't help but scratch his hair in annoyance,' Only Novice level. It seems like I also have no affinity for frost,' He bitterly smiled, deciding to only use this technique in some urgent situation and not waste time on trying to comprehend it even further.

One needed to know when to give up, or else as cultivators when time is gold, and they needed each minute of it to search for inheritances, resources, or cultivate to get even further and increase one's lifespan and strength, holding into dead ends would only lead to one's own destruction.

Comprehension novice level meant that Yasuo had a basic understanding of the martial arts, struggling to even execute it properly. Hence his reasoning.

Comprehension levels of martial arts techniques or mystical techniques depend on the homeland of the cultivator way of calling it. They are divided into 10 levels: Novice, Apprentice, Adept, Expert, Quasi-Master, Master, Quasi Grandmaster and Grandmaster.

At least, that's what Yasuo got to know out of Richard; as for anything beyond that, the old man seemed to have no information whatsoever about it. But he didn't care about it; if the above exists or doesn't exist, he would get to encounter them at some point and learn about it.

As he kept focusing on cultivation and using the bit of resources Vethas allocated for him, three days passed in the blink of an eye.

Squatting on top of a branch of a frozen tree towering above a giant town, Yasuo looked at the girl wearing white armor just on the branch next to him," We go with the same plan, right? I go and you cover for me."

Balqis nodded her head, her heart beating faster and faster as she considered the worst-case scenario. She quickly brushed it away and concentrated on the mission:' Don't let it get into your head. Everything will be fine!' She slapped her face with both hands twice, calming herself.

Yasuo saw this scene but turned a blind eye to it. Everything was going as planned, and he wasn't going to die on this mission.

Indeed!

Dying when going to invite another clan for war as human slaves was the most common thing that can happen, which is why the cultivation base of said slaves didn't matter since they were dying anyway.

Unless they somehow manage to escape, which rarely happens.

Taking a deep breath, Yasuo memorized the information Vethas gave him about the floor Sado was situated on. He then gathered some of his qi into his legs and leaped towards the giant's base headquarters.
