Farewell 1

Ryan slowly calmed his emotions and walked out of his room with determined steps. Before leaving, he still had one final task to complete, which was the reason he hadn't gone straight to leave after returning from Gu Wenzhu's place.

Ryan arrived at Leah's residence and lightly knocked on the door, calling out, "Sis, are you there?"

Leah, upon hearing Ryan's voice, quickly opened the door and let him in. "Aren't you supposed to be training? Why did you suddenly come here?"

Usually, Leah was the one seeking him out, and Ryan would only knock on her door if he had something urgent to discuss. So, it was understandable that Leah would ask.

Ryan smiled cheekily and said, "What? Can't I come visit you just because I don't have anything urgent?"

As he spoke, Ryan looked around and added, "Your room looks much more comfortable than mine, though. My place is a mess, there's no place to sit!"

Hearing this, Leah couldn't hold back a chuckle. "You little brat! I knew it, you wouldn't come just to check on me! Looks like you want me to help clean your room. Fine… I'll go tidy it up for you later. You've always been lazy and never liked cleaning. What will you do once I leave?"

Ryan awkwardly scratched his head and tried to explain, "What do you mean lazy? It's not that I'm lazy, I just don't have the talent for tidying up! Besides, I didn't come to ask you to clean my room!"

Leah raised an eyebrow in curiosity. "If you didn't come for that, then what did you come for?"

Ryan didn't answer her directly. Instead, he raised his hand to his chest and gently swept his palm over it. In an instant, two jars of wine appeared on the table out of thin air.

Ryan smiled and said, "Today, I came to drink!"

"What? Drink? No way! How old are you? You want to drink?" Leah was surprised that the little guy had come all the way here to ask her to drink with him.

Seeing Leah's refusal, Ryan didn't push her. Instead, he feigned disappointment and said, "Well then, since you won't drink, I'll just take it back and drink it myself. Too bad, this is my best homemade wine. You won't find anything like it in Sweet Spring Town anymore!"

As Ryan began to put the wine jars back into his pendant, Leah immediately changed her mind, saying, "Wait a second. Since it's your homemade wine, I have to try it. I've never had wine brewed by you before!" With that, she quickly grabbed the two jars of wine, holding them to her chest as if she were afraid Ryan would change his mind.

Before Ryan could feel too happy, Leah continued, "You can let me taste it, but you can't drink too much…"

Before Leah could finish her sentence, Ryan quickly grabbed one of the jars, lightly tapped it with his palm, and the seal on the jar broke. At the same time, the rich fragrance of wine filled the entire room.

The sudden burst of aroma made Leah feel slightly intoxicated, and she couldn't help but praise, "I didn't expect it, you little brat, your wine is actually quite good. Such fine wine, and you're only thinking of me now. You're really heartless."

"Heh, brewing wine isn't something that happens in a day or two. I only just finished the fermentation, so I thought I'd come find you," Ryan explained as he poured the wine into two cups.

Just as he was about to raise his cup, Leah stopped him, "Hold on, such good wine, it wouldn't be right to drink without some food. Wait a moment…" With that, Leah turned and left the room.

A short while later, Leah returned with several small dishes, having instructed the servants not to disturb them. Only then did she sit down and start enjoying the wine with Ryan.

After all, given her age, drinking a little wine at home wasn't a big deal, but if their parents found out she was drinking with her younger brother, she was sure to get an earful.

So, the brother and sister took turns sipping their wine, with Leah occasionally reminding Ryan to drink less.

After a few rounds of drinking, Leah began to feel a little tipsy and spoke up, "Ryan, this wine of yours really has some kick!"

Ryan smiled slightly and asked, "Sis, can I borrow your pendant for a moment?"

Without hesitation, Leah took off her snowflake-shaped pendant and handed it to Ryan. "Here."

If it were anyone else, even if they'd had a few drinks, Leah wouldn't let them see her pendant, but Ryan was different. To her, there was no need to be cautious with her brother.

Leah's willingness to so easily hand over the pendant made Ryan feel touched. After receiving it, he tried to channel his elemental energy into the pendant, but after several attempts, it showed no reaction.

Noticing Ryan's actions, Leah asked curiously, "Ryan, what are you doing?"

Ryan smiled and took off his own pendant. He infused both pendants with elemental energy at the same time. On his pendant, the character "Lin" appeared clearly, while Leah's pendant remained unchanged.

Seeing this, Leah was a little surprised. "Huh, what's this? Why does yours have a word, but mine doesn't?"

At this point, Ryan no longer wished to keep anything from her, so he explained, "Sis, we have no blood relation. The pendant I have should have been left to me by my biological mother."

Upon hearing this, Leah grew angry and said, "What are you talking about? Are you drunk? You're my brother, how could we not have a blood relation?"

Ryan had initially thought that Leah might know something, but based on her reaction, she seemed as clueless as he was. So, he told her everything that Gu Wenzhu had said, explaining that they weren't related by blood.

However, to avoid revealing Silver Moon's existence, he attributed the information about his lack of blood relation to House Stark to Gu Wenzhu, making sure not to mention Silver Moon.
