Not happening!

Something enormous jumped out of the river.

Time slowed down... Alric's instincts screamed of danger, his eyes widened to their limits.

He was infinitely scared... but he could think clearly.

Alric had time to think... and he even had time to react. It was not going to happen again, a single time was more than enough for him to know what it feels like to be eaten alive, he was not going to get swallowed alive again, no matter what.

Instantly noticing the enormous figure that looked like a sea creature, jump at him from the river. Alric used his ability [Leap].

Darkness shrouded him and he found himself in the Abyss yet again.

It was the same... dark, empty, and quiet Abyss.

He could not feel his body there... but he felt something else there... something physical.

"Ah..." He realized it—those were his weapons, the emerald knife and the obsidian dagger. He could sense them even without having a brain, he could see them regardless of the fact that he did not have any eyes.

He reached out to them... with both of his nonexistent arms.

He embraced them... with both of his nonexistent hands.

He closed his nonexistent eyes... and he was no more there.

Alric appeared right above the titan that was floundering on the ground, gasping, its gills fluttered, a desperate attempt to live.

Alric who was twenty meters above the enormous fish-like creature's head, he was holding a long and lustrous emerald knife in his right hand and an illustrious obsidian dagger in his left hand.

He gently opened his eyes, still in the air.

Pointing the knife and the dagger down, Alric continued falling through the air, he was brainstorming various ideas on how to kill this bastard of a fish.

Soon he landed on the fish who was floundering on the ground and thrust both of his weapons into the fish's skull, piercing a part of its brain. But it was far from dead, it was surely alive.

'This bastard is probably going to keep moving until I gut him, Alric thought inwardly. Indeed, fish were a pain in the ass to kill, they were slippery and moved even after death, using muscle memory.

Alric yanked the obsidian dagger out of the titan's skull and lost his balance, he hung from the rectangular knife, the emerald knife sliding down from Alric's weight.

The fish kept floundering violently, as its last resort.

If not for Alric, the titan would have already been in the river by now.

The fish's movements causing Alric's emerald knife to slide down even more.

And now he was right beside the fish's eye socket, he could feel its hateful gaze upon him.

Alric drew back his hand.

"You dare stare at me, bastard!?" He shouted at the fish's eye.

And with all of his might, Alric plunged the obsidian dagger into the titan's eye socket as deep as its blade could go.

The fish trembled violently in pain, causing Alric to almost let go of the knife that was plunged deep into the titan's flesh and scales.

Alric once again yanked the obsidian dagger out, and thrust it again, then again, and again, and again, and again.

Until there was no resemblance of the eye's former glory, it turning into nothing but a bloody pulp.

Of course, the fish did not lay there and do nothing, it shook violently in the hopes of getting Alric's filthy human hands off him.

It took a desperate last act motivated by death's door, Alric's relentless tries to gauge its eye out and used all of its remaining strength to leap into the air and tremble, this was its last hope to feeling water again... and it did.

"Fuck..." Alric was speechless, nothing else made it to his vocal cords; he still hung from his knife that was plunged into the fish's flesh.

They both were in the air at the moment, gravity pulling them towards the river... or fate...

Alric stopped the acts he was committing in order to gauge out the fish's eye, and he started to pull the knife out of its flesh, but unfortunately, the knife was plunged too deep into the titan's flesh that it got stuck.

Alric thought of letting the knife go... his survival was first, but by the time he realized he could do so, it was too late.

Just managing to inhale a bit of oxygen before he was thrust into the water... his black robes got soaked with it, his weight grew, making it harder for him to hold on to the knife.

The fish starting to swim and swarm. Satisfying its gills with fresh water.

'Fuck! Fuck! Fuck! Not the water!' Alric cursed out loud... or at least wanted to do so, he was currently underwater and thus could not speak nor breathe.

But he had to find a way out of this for sure... so he just continued to gouge out its eye, stabbing its eye with his dagger relentlessly.

The titan's crimson blood flowed out of it and mixed with the brownish water of the river, waving beautiful yet gruesome patterns.

Alric kept stabbing its eye; its eye going completely blind and starting to almost fall out of its eye socket.

The titan trembled violently in pain but this time underwater.

The titan swam upstream, the current trying to force Alric to let go. But Alric held on, not letting go of the knife.

If he would have let go of the dagger, who knows where the current would have taken him, and if it would be the waterfall... he is as good as dead.

With one last strike from the obsidian dagger, the titan's eye detached from its brain and fell off from its eye socket.

The titan could not see Alric since his fifth strike on its eye, but it knew that the cursed human was still on him. A desperate act out of pain and humiliation, the titan slammed its left side against the primordial rocks of the river, hoping that Alric would get crushed between its flesh and the stones.

But everything it did was futile, the pain did not stop, because before it slammed itself into the primordial stones of the river, Alric yanked the knife out of its flesh with all of his might, and dug deep into its emptied eye socket, now wreaking havoc inside.

He clung to the titan's flesh with the stubborn resilience of a bed bug, as if it was his host.

One weapon plunged till the hilt into the titan's flesh and the other yanked and stabbed repeatedly into it. Painting the water crimson.

The titan rubbed itself against the rocks.

But that did nothing to stop Alric; he ripped and tore his way, burrowing deeper into the titan's raw flesh.

Alric wanted to curse that fish of a titan, he did not have much space in its empty eye socket, as the titan was on the smaller side.

But even while having little space, only enough for him to survive the titan's desperate efforts to survive.

He continued his relentless strikes... and soon enough broke through the titan's cranium, and with one last strike, its brain was exposed, fresh water rushed into its skull.

Alric's vision was distorted because of the river water, but yet he could see its brain.

He had to end it fast, he was running out of oxygen.

Alric's smirk widened.

He withdrew his hand that was holding an illustrious obsidian dagger and plunged it deep into the titan's brain, now only the hilt and the handle of it visible.

The titan shook violently and jumped out of the water, landing on the ground. It did not know what it was doing but what it just did made Alric smirk even more.

Alric hungrily took air into his lungs, he was breathing heavily while the titan floundered on the ground.

Finally, satisfying himself with enough oxygen, Alric pushed the blade of the dark obsidian dagger downwards, slicing its brain.

"Fucking fish! Die!" That curse he let out satisfied his heart to the brim.

With a dangerous glint on his face he yanked the blade free and thrust it deep into the titan's brain again and sliced through its brain horizontally.

Still holding on to the emerald knife that was plunged deep into its flesh for balance, Alric plunged the obsidian dagger into its flesh too.

Holding both of his weapons for support he kicked in its brain using both of his legs.

The titan shook even more violently.

Alric withdrew his legs and kicked again.

And again.

And again.

And again.

And finally... he kicked again for the last time.

The titan grew limp and stopped moving... it was finally dead.

Alric let out a long sigh.

He looked as if he came right out of a horror movie. He was covered in crimson blood, head to toe, his black robes soaked with blood and water, his elegant dark hair dripping with blood, his face painted red with blood.

It was indeed a gruesome scene to look at.
