Victor strolled through the training grounds, hands in his pockets, a lazy grin on his face. He took in the sight of the students practicing their techniques, his golden eyes gleaming with interest.

"Damn, Li Zhi," he said, whistling low. "Place still got that same old-school feel. Ain't nothin' changed but the faces."

Li Zhi stood beside him, arms crossed. "Discipline and tradition don't change."

Victor smirked. "Yeah, yeah. You always were the 'strict master' type."

Ichiro observed the two, keeping his distance. He had heard of powerful wanderers and mercenaries, but he had never met Victor before. Something about the man put him on edge—his carefree attitude didn't match the dangerous energy that radiated from him.

Victor clapped his hands together, turning to Li Zhi. "Alright, old man. Where's this 'Kalen' kid y'all been fussin' about? Heard he got potential. I wanna see if he's got teeth."

Li Zhi shot him a look. "He's resting. He went through a brutal training session. He needs time."

Victor waved a hand. "Man, I ain't askin' to break him. Just wanna see what he's made of."

Ichiro narrowed his eyes. "You want to fight him?"

Victor grinned. "Oh, I ain't about to throw hands with him… yet. But I got a way to see what's really inside him. Y'all trainin' him like a normal warlock, but me? I like to dig deeper."

Li Zhi exhaled. "You're going to provoke something, aren't you?"

Victor shrugged. "Not my fault if somethin' wakes up."

And then they walk towards resting chamber where kalen was.

Li zhi told seraphine that victor want to test kalen to measure how far he has unlocked his bloodline

Seraphine stepped out from the resting chamber, her eyes narrowing at Victor. "You want to test him while he's still recovering? That's reckless."

Victor turned to her, raising a brow. "You must be Seraphine. Kalen's little guardian, huh?"

Seraphine crossed her arms. "And you're Victor. I don't like you already."

Victor grinned. "Ain't that sweet. We already got a bond."

She scowled. "Kalen isn't a test subject for you to play with."

Victor held up his hands. "Relax, girl. I ain't gonna hurt him. Just wanna see somethin'. You ever had that feelin' that your boy ain't showin' you everything?"

Seraphine hesitated, but her silence was enough of an answer.

Victor's grin widened. "That's what I thought. There's more to him, somethin' buried real deep. And I got a feelin' it's about time it came to the surface."

Li Zhi sighed. "You always stir trouble."

Victor chuckled. "That's why you love me."

He turned toward the resting chamber, eyes gleaming. "Alright, Kalen. Let's see what's really inside you.".
