Festival

Day One of the Tempest Grand Festival

The sun rose over Tempest, illuminating the city in a warm golden hue that reflected off the decorations meticulously prepared for the festival. Banners of vibrant colors fluttered in the wind, streets were lined with lanterns, and magical crystals glowed softly, creating an otherworldly ambiance. People from all over the world flooded the streets—humans, monsters, demi-humans, adventurers, and nobles alike—making Tempest the center of attention for these three grand days.

The Streets: A Kaleidoscope of Cultures

The streets were alive with the buzz of voices, laughter, and the aroma of food from the countless stalls. Children ran from game to game, their delighted squeals mixing with the calls of merchants advertising their wares.

Child 1: "I got a slime-shaped balloon!"

Child 2: "Let's try the ring toss next! I heard the prizes are enchanted toys!"

Adventurers examined the stalls selling weapons and armors, their eyes lighting up at the sight of legendary-grade swords and unique shields crafted by Kurobe and Kaijin.

Adventurer: "This blade… It's infused with magic! I've never seen craftsmanship like this."

Merchant: "Only in Tempest, my friend. If you have the coin, it's yours!"

The aroma of food wafted through the air. Stalls selling Japanese delicacies like sushi, tempura, and ramen were packed with visitors eager to try the exotic cuisine. Nearby, a dwarf loudly proclaimed the quality of his ale.

Visitor: "What is this… ramen? It's so flavorful! I've never tasted anything like it!"

Chef: "Welcome to Tempest, where we make dreams edible!"

The Nobles' Arrival

Carriages pulled by majestic beasts began arriving, each more luxurious than the last. Special teams of well-dressed attendants stood ready to receive the nobles and guide them to their reserved accommodations.

From Dwargon, King Gazel Dwargo stepped out of his royal carriage, his presence commanding respect. He exchanged a firm handshake with Rimuru at the gates.

Gazel: "Tempest never ceases to impress me, Rimuru. The decorations, the organization—it's flawless."

Rimuru: "It's only possible because of the people here. And, of course, your inspiration helped shape this nation."

From the Western Nations, the Kings arrived, accompanied by several high-ranking nobles.

King 1: "You've created a paradise, Rimuru. The harmony here… It's unlike anything I've seen before."

Rimuru: "It's only the beginning. Wait until you see the Labyrinth."

The most surprising arrival, however, was Elmesia El-Ru Sarion, the Queen of Sarion. Known for rarely appearing in public, her presence caused a stir. As she stepped out of her carriage, her elegant beauty and commanding aura silenced the crowd. She wore a flowing gown of shimmering silver that seemed to catch the light, making her look like a goddess descended from the heavens.

Onlookers: "The Queen of Sarion… Here? In Tempest?"

Noble: "She's even more beautiful than the legends say."

Approaching Rimuru with a graceful smile, she greeted him warmly.

Elmesia: "Rimuru Tempest. You've outdone yourself. Tempest is truly a marvel."

Rimuru (nervously): "Thank you, Your Majesty. Coming from you, that means a lot."

Fun and Festivities

As the day progressed, the streets became a whirlwind of activity.

Games and Competitions:

Children and adults alike participated in ring tosses, shooting galleries, and strength tests.

Child: "Look, I won a plushie of Lord Rimuru!"

Parent: "How many coins did you spend?!"

Magic Strength Tester:

Adventurers lined up to test their magic against enchanted dummies designed to measure output. A powerful blast from one adventurer earned a loud cheer.

Adventurer: "I'm the strongest here!"

Milim (appearing suddenly): "Oh really? Let me try!"

Milim's blast destroyed the dummy entirely, leaving everyone in stunned silence.

Rimuru: "Milim! That was a demonstration dummy, not a target for annihilation!"

Veldora's Teriyaki Stall

Veldora had set up a teriyaki stall, though it was clear he was more interested in showing off than actually cooking. Yet, his teriyaki was so good that a long line formed.

Customer: "Lord Veldora, this teriyaki is incredible!"

Veldora: "Naturally! The great Veldora Tempest excels in all things!"

Rimuru (passing by): "You're just using the recipe I gave you…"

Veldora: "Silence, Rimuru! Let me bask in my glory!"

Evening Elegance

As the sun set, magical lanterns lit up the streets, and the sounds of live music filled the air. An opera performance captivated the nobles, while fireworks illuminated the night sky in dazzling colors.

In the noble baths, leaders and dignitaries relaxed, marveling at the luxury. The scented soaps and hot water, courtesy of Vesta and Raphael's innovations, left them rejuvenated.

King of Blumund: "Even the baths here are extraordinary. Tempest truly is a nation of wonders."

Queen Elmesia (smiling): "It seems Rimuru has raised the bar for all of us."

Day Two: The Festival in Full Swing

The second day saw even more visitors flooding into Tempest. Merchants continued to rake in profits, and adventurers lined up to test their skills in the Labyrinth's preliminary challenges.

Adventurer: "Only made it to the fifth floor, but the traps were insane! This dungeon is going to be legendary."

Milim, Shion, and Shuna joined the crowds, trying various foods and even participating in some of the games.

Milim: "This takoyaki is amazing! Rimuru, why didn't you tell me about this before?"

Rimuru: "Because you'd eat all of it."

The day ended with another round of fireworks, leaving the skies of Tempest glowing in a spectacle of light.

Tempest was alive in a way it had never been before. Conversations echoed through the streets, laughter filled the air, and the blending of cultures created a unique harmony. Visitors left impressed, with many vowing to return and some even seeking to become permanent residents.

The first two days of the Tempest Grand Festival were nothing short of magical, setting the stage for what would become a historic event in the annals of Rimuru's ever-growing nation.
