The Watchers in the Shadows

The formation of the new Demon Lord Council had not gone unnoticed. From their divine realms, the Keepers—Rimuru, Guy Crimson, Milim Nava, Draguel, Luminous Valentine, Leon Cromwell, and Ramiris—watched as Diablo and Zegion orchestrated the grand event, their eyes locked on the battlefield unfolding within the labyrinth.

Meanwhile, beyond even their reach, in a realm of absolute supremacy, Beerus, Whis, and his wives—Velzar, Erza, Zerna, Delta, Beta, and Sigma—also observed the spectacle, their expressions ranging from amusement to mild interest.

This was history in the making.

Within a divine realm, far removed from the physical world, the Keepers—Rimuru, Guy Crimson, Milim Nava, Draguel, Luminous Valentine, Leon Cromwell, and Ramiris—gathered to observe the newly formed Demon Lord Council. The scene before them unfolded like a grand performance, orchestrated by none other than Rimuru's two most trusted subordinates—Diablo and Zegion.

As the battle royale raged within the Labyrinth, the Keepers could only watch in amusement, intrigue, and, in some cases, shock.

Rimuru sat comfortably, arms crossed, his golden eyes glowing with satisfaction. "I gotta say, I'm really proud of these two. I didn't even have to do anything!"

Guy Crimson raised an eyebrow, smirking. "You sly bastard. You didn't just create monsters—you created rulers."

Milim leaned forward, her eyes wide with excitement. "Whoa! Look at Zegion! He's moving so fast they can't even react!"

Luminous took a sip of her wine, watching the flawless way Diablo maneuvered the situation. "Your subordinates aren't just strong, Rimuru. They're intelligent. They didn't seize power; they made the world come to them."

Leon, arms crossed, nodded. "That's the part that impresses me. Anyone can force their way to the top. But Diablo? He made everyone believe it was their idea to challenge him. And now that he's beaten them to a pulp, they'll follow him willingly."

Draguel's golden draconic eyes glowed faintly as he watched the challengers struggling against Diablo's overwhelming power. "There is no doubt now. Tempest has effectively taken control of the Demon Lord Council."

Ramiris hovered midair, rubbing her temples. "So… Rimuru, do you even need to do anything anymore? Your people are running everything!"

Rimuru chuckled, rubbing the back of his head. "Yeah… I mean, at first, I was kinda worried about leaving things to them, but now? I feel like I made the right call."

Guy let out a boisterous laugh. "Ha! This is perfect! The world thought it was rid of us, and now, your people have taken over without even needing our help!"

Milim punched the air. "So does this mean I can go and fight Diablo and Zegion now?!"

Luminous rolled her eyes. "Milim, no. You'll just destroy everything."

Leon smirked. "She does have a point, though. If those two are this strong, the real question is: can anyone even challenge them?"

As the battle royale concluded and the remaining challengers barely stood, Diablo and Zegion loomed over them like deities.

The defeated challengers gritted their teeth. Their bodies were battered, their pride shattered—but they refused to back down.

Xyloth, his breathing ragged, raised his hand. "If we are to be Demon Lords… we should at least be allowed to challenge you directly!"

Diablo's smile widened, his golden eyes gleaming with amusement. "Oh? You still have fight left in you? How delightful."

Zegion, ever silent, simply nodded. "Then come. Prove yourselves."

The final battle was a massacre.

Zegion moved like a phantom, faster than light itself, his attacks shattering space. Each blow crushed bones, each strike drove fear into his opponents.

Diablo, on the other hand, was a nightmare incarnate. He warped reality around him, manipulating space, time, and magic itself. Every attack aimed at him simply vanished, erased from existence before it could land.

The challengers, though strong in their own right, were mere playthings to Diablo and Zegion.

Within minutes, they were on the ground, barely conscious.

Diablo laughed softly, kneeling beside Xyloth. "You fought well. But now you understand… there is no one stronger than us."

Zegion crossed his arms. "Still, you have earned your seats."

The challengers, though humiliated, nodded in respect.

Rimuru grinned. "See? I knew they had it handled."

Guy whistled. "I was expecting them to win, but I didn't think they'd completely dominate."

Milim's jaw dropped. "That was so cool! Diablo was just standing there and making people disappear! And Zegion—he's like a monster beyond monsters!"

Luminous nodded. "They've established absolute authority. No one in the Cardinal World will dare challenge them now."

Leon smirked. "Which means… Rimuru, your influence will never fade. Even if you stepped down, your people will keep ruling from the shadows."

Draguel chuckled. "I underestimated them. I thought we were the only ones capable of controlling the world. But now? It's clear. Tempest has taken over."

Ramiris groaned. "So now what? Are we just here to watch?"

Rimuru stretched lazily, a satisfied smile on his face. "Pretty much. My people got this."

In his celestial realm, Beerus leaned back, golden eyes glowing as he observed Diablo and Zegion.

"Hmph. Interesting."

Whis smiled. "My, my. It seems Rimuru has groomed his subordinates well."

Velzar smirked. "They remind me of some of us."

Erza chuckled. "More like… they remind me of Beerus. They control without needing to say a word."

Zerna observed closely. "Their power is absolute. And yet, they let others believe they have control."

Delta smirked. "That's a divine level of ruling."

Sigma "If they continue like this, no one in the Cardinal World will ever be able to oppose them."

Beerus let out a small chuckle, a godly aura radiating from him. "Let them enjoy their little game of kings and rulers."

His wives nodded in agreement.

The world had changed. And yet, even with a new Demon Lord Council, the true power remained where it always had.

As Diablo's subordinates spread across the Cardinal World, declaring the formation of the new Demon Lord Council, shockwaves rippled through every kingdom, empire, and faction.

Rulers panicked. Power-hungry warlords salivated at the opportunity. Some sought alliances, while others plotted rebellion.

The world had changed.

And the true game of power had only just begun.
